Admission is a bit expensive, and there are no guides who speak Portuguese, but if you understand a little Spanish you will hear fantastic stories about the theater and its history. Worth the visit. Go prepared to walk, notice the details and take lots of pictures. Hopefully, you may even see a rehearsal of a show going on there.

Excellent place to visit. Both going to listen to a concert and guided tours. Eye! The concerts must be booked 6 months in advance to have good places. The cost of admission in general is around 800 pesos in an intermediate place

Unique acoustics, perfect and unbeatable. Depending on the location one is going to enjoy the show more, the upper lateral parts of the theater make it difficult to observe the show but with standing or looking out of the railing is enough. Fascinated by the environment!

A beautiful theater, the renovations they made are great. Fabulous I love architecture, I still haven't been able to enjoy its acoustics but I would soon love it. I would also like to live it from the stage. I had a very nice and very cool guide. Very nice ride.

Very cool tour, organized, well explained. Attentive guide. The value is high for the tour, but thinking about all the care with the place and all the restoration, worth every penny. Very beautiful indeed. One day I'll be back to watch a show.

Architecturally dazzling. The guide was very attentive and covered the most important parts of his story in a short time, making the tour complete without being excessive in his presentation.

Gorgeous opera, with a visit during 40 to 45 minutes. The explanations are interesting and you can ask as many questions as you want.
This place is definitely worth visiting (in English, Spanish).
Just breathtaking.

I adored him!!! It is divine! It's a very nice theater aesthetically. The opera features include subtitles, I did not believe either but there is a screen above the stage where the subtitles are in Spanish. It's worth the tickets.

Really a great tour (English tour) with interesting information. Our guide spoke clearly and loudly and shared a lot of insight about the theater, its design, construction, and history. Lots of info about the rooms. A bit disappointed to only be able to see the public spaces in the theater considering tickets were $800 pesos, or about $22 USD at the time of this writing.
Did not get to see a performance, but they allow tour watchers an opportunity to sing if they would like. Cool opportunity!

On 11/21/18 we visited Teatro Colon for the performance of the Symphony orchestra of BA. In comparison with the performance about 8 years ago last night performance was of just okay quality. We picked up on some improvements of the sound, it appears that something was done to significantly improve acoustics.

1*- for the seats. Where in the world you suppose to put your feet? We had a flash back to the Opera house in Hanoi..... if you are not comfortable, it would be very difficult to enjoy the music.

The new ticket collection system was straight forward and we did not have any issues.

A must visit in Buenos Aires. One of the most beautiful opera houses in the world. They run guided tours every 15 minutes in Spanish and every hour in English. The English language tours are very popular and booking in advance is essential.
