The second worldwide theater with the best acoustics, with a study center, the headquarters of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic. It operates its own works, a classic style building occupies a ha between Cerrito, More
It's a beautiful place, with amazing lounges, but unfortunately, we could not know the room because of work on the stage and the lights were off
Admission is a bit expensive, and there are no guides who speak Portuguese, but if you understand a little Spanish you will hear fantastic stories about the theater and its history. Worth the visit. Go prepared to walk, notice the details and take lots of pictures. Hopefully, you may even see a rehearsal of a show going on there.
Excellent place to visit. Both going to listen to a concert and guided tours. Eye! The concerts must be booked 6 months in advance to have good places. The cost of admission in general is around 800 pesos in an intermediate place
Unique acoustics, perfect and unbeatable. Depending on the location one is going to enjoy the show more, the upper lateral parts of the theater make it difficult to observe the show but with standing or looking out of the railing is enough. Fascinated by the environment!
Very beautiful. Fantastic Tango Porteno show. Very rich.
Beautiful theater! The visit was wonderful our guide the best! Place in Buenos Aires to visit yes or yes!
It is a must in Nuenos Aires. Its architecture is very interesting
I love this place where my mother was part of the stable body of the colon theater. And god by dancing in the same place
It's very nice, the acoustics from the gathering is not good and from the seats in that place, if you lean forward, you can't see.
The rest is beautiful!
Stunning outer facade, it truly does encompass an entire city block. Unfortunately, my wife and I didn t have a chance to venture inside.
I love the acoustics of Columbus! All you need is air conditioning.
Imposing and sophisticated. Artistic presentations of the most important works in the world.
It is very interesting to know it, it is worth exploring.
The guided tour is a must. The building is beatifull.
Everyone should know him! It is beautiful and with a lot of history
One of the most beautiful and amazing theater in the world
I love the. Theater Colon, representative of all Latin American and world culture. Here are photos of the Nano Serrat recital in the square adjacent to the Colon Theater, a luxury!
Too many reasons to explain it in a space like this. Apart from that, Columbus does not need praise or propaganda.
Great place. Speechless. Good attention from the ushers.
It is an immaculate place. Its rooms are imposing. The theater hall, whose acoustics is one of the best terratosliricos in the world. Your spider Everything has been restored and shines with splendor. In short, it is a jewel
We visited yesterday. Beautiful place its impressive architecture. We always go
A beautiful theater, the renovations they made are great. Fabulous I love architecture, I still haven't been able to enjoy its acoustics but I would soon love it. I would also like to live it from the stage. I had a very nice and very cool guide. Very nice ride.
Very cool tour, organized, well explained. Attentive guide. The value is high for the tour, but thinking about all the care with the place and all the restoration, worth every penny. Very beautiful indeed. One day I'll be back to watch a show.
The place is amazing, the acoustics are wonderful, it s a nice option if you love opera or classical music!
A must-see in Buenos Aires, a wonderful place with spectacular architecture. If you can come see a play or an opera, do not hesitate.
Ezcelente guided tour of a spectacularly restored theater
Beautiful rooms and sculptures. Imposing scenario. Amazing acoustics Very good care. Congratulations!!
Teatro Colon de SAN NICOLAS - Beautiful. I had the opportunity to visit it one day and they kindly allowed me to enter and take photographs that I timely published. Thank you.
Wonderful. Safety pin. As architecture and history. Of the best.
Architecturally dazzling. The guide was very attentive and covered the most important parts of his story in a short time, making the tour complete without being excessive in his presentation.
Gorgeous opera, with a visit during 40 to 45 minutes. The explanations are interesting and you can ask as many questions as you want.
This place is definitely worth visiting (in English, Spanish).
Just breathtaking.
Beautiful theater. I took a tour paying a ticket! Very interesting...
Worth the 300 pesos on the guided tour, the place is sensational.
I adored him!!! It is divine! It's a very nice theater aesthetically. The opera features include subtitles, I did not believe either but there is a screen above the stage where the subtitles are in Spanish. It's worth the tickets.
Gorgeous. Would love to see a play or hear a concert here.
An amazing place The architecture is spectacular. The auditorium is huge and beautiful. A place to meet without doubts. The guide who attended to us very attentive and it showed that he knew about the history of the place
I loved the theater as always ten and the excellent function the Ballet of Quixote.
Excellent!! The perfect setting, with the majesty of the Colon, to entertain the great Jairo, in his 50 years of career.
Visits are expensive if you consider how little they show ... However the theater itself is the most luxurious and thought there is.
It must be, inside, beautiful, but the long lines did not allow me to visit it, it had already happened on another trip to Baires. Very disordered the visiting system.
Really a great tour (English tour) with interesting information. Our guide spoke clearly and loudly and shared a lot of insight about the theater, its design, construction, and history. Lots of info about the rooms. A bit disappointed to only be able to see the public spaces in the theater considering tickets were $800 pesos, or about $22 USD at the time of this writing.
Did not get to see a performance, but they allow tour watchers an opportunity to sing if they would like. Cool opportunity!
Those who visit Buenos Aires, speak a few words in Spanish, look for #alfajor, lick themselves with #DulcedeLeche, eat #chorizo, dance a #tango or more ... but it is from #teatrocolon that true music feeds #corazon.
.
Acoustically considered one of the 5 best in the world, @teatrocolon (opened in 1908) has a capacity for 2,487 spectators and in addition to the #concerto, it is possible to take a guided tour of the #operahouse for 250 ARS every day of the week from 9 am to 5 pm.

On 11/21/18 we visited Teatro Colon for the performance of the Symphony orchestra of BA. In comparison with the performance about 8 years ago last night performance was of just okay quality. We picked up on some improvements of the sound, it appears that something was done to significantly improve acoustics.
1*- for the seats. Where in the world you suppose to put your feet? We had a flash back to the Opera house in Hanoi..... if you are not comfortable, it would be very difficult to enjoy the music.
The new ticket collection system was straight forward and we did not have any issues.
Group visits every 15 minutes. Take a guided tour in English for under U$D 20 p/p and visit this spectacular and palatial opera house! If you're lucky, you will witness a rehearsal from the best balcony seating reserved for high profile guests and presidents. Worth every penny!
Excellent! The event of a trip to the center of music for children!
A wonderful place at the level of the best theaters in the world. The experience is superlative. Without doubt recommended.
Beautiful architecture For visitation required scheduling.
The quotas for guided tours are very few. The place is beautiful
Without words, they are all taken by this beautiful theater. Guided tours are recommended and visiting this majestic site is a must.
We watched the Montreal Orchestra, unforgettable !!
The detail with which it was created is exceptional, I did the guided tour, but I missed going to see a work, I hope to return to fulfill that slope.
A beautiful experience to be able to go to a concert in this beautiful place, if you have the opportunity to see a performance on the billboard it is very worthwhile.
Place where you can watch a play on then a live Tango Porteno.
Timeless classic, wonderful setting for world-class pieces
Incredibly beautiful!!! Monumental by itself, better to see and hear some work !!!
Gorgeous theater with great vintage atmosphere and superior acoustics. Really has an old school elegance
Excellent architecture, classical and we'll looking.
Excellent visit, very good explanation during the tour
It has an incredible history. We paid 800 pesos to have access to the tour guide and get to know the whole history. Considered the fifth best theater in the world.
A must visit in Buenos Aires. One of the most beautiful opera houses in the world. They run guided tours every 15 minutes in Spanish and every hour in English. The English language tours are very popular and booking in advance is essential.
Very impressive building. The guided tour is expensive but we found it worth the money. Tours are in English and Spanish
It is an incomparable cultural heritage. Worthy to be seen and recognized by the whole world ... its acoustics does not compare with any foreign theater ... it is imposing and majestic.
Beautiful where you look at it. It transports you to another era and immerses you in a spectacular world. Clean and careful. Proud of it being in Argentina and this way.
Incredible! A mix of the opera in Paris and Versailles!
