I ve wanted to live here ever since I moved to this city almost 3 years ago. It s beautiful well kept and in a great location to everything. I finally made the move in and it s been even better than I imagined. 24/7 concierge desk, two gyms, a basketball court and pools. It s like a hotel more than an apartment.

Kelly at the service desk and Natalie in the leasing office made the move in great and easy and the maintenance acted quickly at even the littlest request.

Worth every single penny

First off I d like to start by stating that I wish I could give this establishment zero stars. Before even being able to enter the building I am in my group of friends were approached by the concierge in a very rude and demeaning manner. Before we even knocked on the door while we were taking pictures he approached us mean mugging in with an angry tone as if we had something to tell us that we need to contact who our contact was for the building. Which is fine but the issue was the tone, and the demeanor in which he approached us.

Fraudulent listing, they list apartment on websites (like Zillow) that do not exist, their marketing craft fake listings just with the sole purpose of luring in potential customers, and to (try) to increase leads.
Prices are WRONG, photos are WRONG (they put pictures for a studio from a penthouse). Is this a common practice in the real estate business? We wasted few hours to go there just to find out that this listing was bogus.

Bad place, do not play with people's trust.

Stay away from this place like the plague. If they can trick people to come to the retail office, scamming them, imagine what are they could do to your lease.

My husband and I had the pleasure of touring with Adrienna and she is absolutely fantastic! Even though we ended up having to move to another state, her amazing customer service will never be forgotten! Thank you Adrienna for taking the time to go through everything with us. You are definitely an asset to your team and we really wish you the best!

Everything around here (parking, resteraunts around you) are managed by different entity's.

If you ever have an issue the "solution" will be an internal back and fourth that leads to nothing.

The Harbor Steps are totally adequate apartments, and the staff is helpful. However, their buildings are under construction until the middle of 2018, meaning loud constant noise from 8:30am until 5 every weekday.

recently stayed here on a visit to seattle. really good location and in walking distance to pike place market and to the space needle. would recommend it if you are looking for somewhere short term when in Seattle.

Giving 2 stars for location but extremely unprofessional leasing office staff- Adrienna especially who does not care to treat residents as humans. 4-5 of my neighbors too were treated badly by her. Just because they have a high volume, they take the existing residents for granted. Dated buildings with constant renovations, old appliances, and no consideration for resident needs with - we had the construction team in and out of our place for 2-3 months with no proper communication, stakeholder management, and actual work planning. Our refrigerator was moved around, there was a tent put up in front of our bathroom door, etc. which is work that should be done between leasing cycles or with a proper transition plan. Safety in all buildings except the SW tower is also challenging with people tailgating all the time and no 2nd layer of security in the elevators. You can hear your neighbours ever walk forget playing music, etc. One of our bedrooms did not have a window that opened and the leasing office did not think mentioning that was important when we were signing the lease from out of state.

I came in to look at an apartment, was so wonderfully treated. I did not choose this place but I did pick another sister branch of Equity. What really impressed me was the follow-up. They remembered me & called! It wasn't a sales call but more of a conversation. In the end, I was the one who started talking of my move!!! The Leasing team gets 120% in my book!!!

One of the most amazing places to live, in Seattle. Right in the center of Downtown and super close to the piers. The leasing officers have been a delight to work with, in my stay for over 2 years now. The folks at the reception and security are also very helpful!

Stayed at Harbor Steps by Stay Alfred vacation rentals. Awesome location, very private and clean place. Only thing I didn't like about that place was it did not have a central AC. Although I don't think you would need a Central AC in Seattle but it was needed for few days. I should of been more careful about the amenities.

This is by far thee best renting experience I have had. The staff is great. Our leasing agent, Larry, has done nothing but go above and beyond. Give that man a raise! The amenities (gym, business center, patio, penthouse suite, sauna, etc.) are great. They all have made for a pleasant experience. We have a wonderful view as well. Also, we have never heard the neighbors. I have read reviews about construction noise and honestly have not heard it. We've had our windows open practically the entire time and I have no complaints regarding noise. We love it here.

Giving three stars because of the beautiful view, I have from my apartment. But otherwise this place has a never ending construction problem. I have lived here for an year and every other morning had to wake up because of drilling noise. I usually work from home. These guys start the construction as early as 8am everyday and upon sending complaint emails you will get the standard reply by law we can start by early as 7am blah blah and sorry for the inconvenience ...ugh!
Also expect your rent prices to be up by 15% at the end of the lease.

It's billed as luxury apartments, but that must have been 20 years ago. Only 2 of the four buildings are wired for fiber internet, and they aren't planning to upgrade the wiring. Nice amenities, but the 24hr concierge desk is really "mostly 24hr" since the concierge "steps out" pretty frequently. Maintenance of the common areas is spotty, some are very old and need updating, while some are newly renovated. It's location and price that are the selling points here, not the community itself. And they have been raising rents without improving/fixing much of anything. If you rent here they won't tell you your renewal rate until it's 90 days before your lease is up, so 30 days before you would need to put in notice if you wanted to leave instead of renewing. If you do decide to look here go for something in the north towers, those are newer and nicer.

Harbor Steps is clearly head and shoulders above any other apartment that I've ever seen (if an apartment can actually have a head and shoulders). The staff is responsive, the facilities unmatched, the location remarkable and the price is reasonable. Honestly, the biggest criticism that I have is that our second bedroom could be a bit bigger. That's all I can come up with. The city skyline from our floor to ceiling windows takes my breath away every time I see it. We couldn't be happier.

Just wanted to say that I am so grateful for my concierge Kelly Moren. I moved to Seattle in March and knowing that she is at the desk makes Harbor Steps feel like home. She is so helpful and gives really good advice about the city. She also does the extras like let me know if I have a package waiting. I just feel more at home because I know she takes good care of us.

After searching for a place to move to coming from CA, we stumbled upon Harbor Steps from a coworker's high recommendation. This place has an ideal location, great customer service, and the amenities are insane for what you pay for. We are very happy residents here and feel lucky for Harbor Steps to be the first residence to move to in Seattle! You know when they take care of you when you tell your leasing agent, Kyle about an experience you had. His response was so quick, he forwarded it to the Community Admin, Joseph Nkeze, and within a timely manner, actions and improvements were made. What we are most happy and surprised about was the amount of care and attention we receive living here. Taking the time to read my feedback, for Kyle to relay the information, and actually receive a response and action to make improvement is a wonderful feeling to have from a resident. I highly recommend Harbor Steps. Good luck on your new home search!

Everyone is super cool, never had bad staff interaction. Maintenance is always nice and quick. Amenity options are solid, just wish we got some type of discount during Covid since they re saving on amenity upkeep costs with most being closed for many months. Nonetheless good experience so far and happy to have renewed at a fair price.

We ve lived at the Harbor Steps address for almost two years, and, all in all, the experience has been good: repair requests have always been addressed expeditiously and professionally by well-trained and courteous technicians and staff; questions regarding policy and practices have always been answered quickly and satisfactorily; and the Harbor Steps management has worked hard to ensure that residents experience high-quality, functional, and aesthetically pleasing upgrades. In short, we ve relished our time at Harbor Steps. However, it was not until recently (i.e., the December 19 January 20 time frame) that our rating of Harbor Steps jumped to 11 out of a 1-10 rating scale.

Two of Harbor Steps finest leasing consultants, Larry Vensey and Demetrius Gittens, expertly guided us through what we initially deemed a Sisyphean endeavor: transferring from one tower to another in a relatively short amount of time. Succinctly said, the transfer in terms of the accounting, utilities, and movement of possessions was seamless.

We ve lived in several high-rise apartment complexes throughout the US, and we ve fastidiously evaluated each one. To date, Harbor Steps tops the list; its management and staff consciously strive to make one feel at home. And, when professionals such as Larry and Demetrius enter the equation, one can t help but feel incredibly important and cared for.

This place quite obviously has a ton of planted reviews. I actually live here. It s ok. It s pretty dirty. The property manager Chandra is not doing a good job. Maintenance is slow and takes 3-4 attempts to get action. I wish I had moved into one of the new buildings in the area.

BUILDING UNDER REPAIR!!/drilling all day long! Can't have people over as scaffold hanging for 3 months already and they say 18months! , be advised and new 34 story building across street starting soon! If you want a place nearby go to newmark! Harbor steps rjn by a hotel guy who has no idea what the impact is on apartment people ! Worst ever seen and down right horrible time to be at harbor steps!

I stayed at Harbor Steps for several months during a relocation to Seattle. It was my first experience living in a downtown location, and there was a lot to love. Great location - the views, the amenities, and all the services right outside your door. The property is close to the waterfront and the walking/running trail, walkable to the ferry terminals, and I could easily get to the market early in the morning before it got busy . Every day, you can see people stopping to take pictures not only of the steps, but Hammer Man located across the street at the Seattle Art Museum. Having shopping, restaurants and a small market right at the property was really convenient for those nights I didn't like the choices in my fridge. As much as there are pros due to the location, it is also in a very busy area and can be loud from people on the street and ongoing construction in the area; so everything that you'd expect from living downtown. Overall, a great experience.

I enjoy living here. I have a great view of the Sound. It's a nice building.

Update:
- rent increases haven't been that bad lately.
- the service staff is amazing.
- the construction noise is over and the building looks modern

We've been here for two months now and are very disappointed in the management. Due to a clerical error in entering our bank account number in their auto payment form, our automatic payment was denied. We called on the 3rd of the month after noticing that it had not gone through, asking if there was a problem, and they assured us not to worry. Three days later we were hit with a TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR fee for non payment of rent. Of course we fixed the problem immediately, but they refused to make the situation right. Typos happen to everyone, and the reason that management exists is that corporate policies are not always fair when applied without discretion. So if you are worried that this apartment complex, which is managed from afar by Equity Apartments, does not have a soul, this sort of situation is confirmation.

A second issue is that there are only two elevator banks for the entire tower. When someone is moving, they occupy one of the elevator banks for the entire day. So hundreds of people in the remaining apartments share one elevator, which can lead to waits up to ten minutes.

On the plus side, the views are nice and maintenance has been great so far. But based on our experiences, think long and hard before signing a lease. Management is not on your side.

Parking garage is both residential and public. Public side is on the south of the garage. They have 2 public elevators along with the 4 residential elevators. One of the public elevators is located on the residential side where all you have to do it walk out and you are directly in front of residential vehicles. Yesterday, transients were chillen in the public elevator section in the residential garage. How do they have direct public access to residential parking? Residential parking that cost $285. You may want to rethink living here if you have a car especially with the known break-ins.

This review focuses on the people and processes related to finding an appropriate apartment at Harbor Steps, signing the lease, and moving in this past summer. Due to work and travel commitments we have not yet been living in the apartment very much so I am not able to comment on life at Harbor Steps although I certainly expect it to be just fine.
We have found all of the people that we worked or communicated with at Harbor Steps to be competent, helpful, and very friendly. I think that the leasing office folks (our contact is a gentlemen named Larry) have been great and by my measure have gone above and beyond what I think we could have ever expected. For example, because we have been gone almost all of the summer we were worried about an heirloom plant that's in the apartment. I don t think this can be expected by me or anyone else, but they helped us out with a bit of occasional watering.
It d been a long-long time since we had signed a lease for housing so we were pleased to see how smoothly that has all become, especially with their use of DocuSign.
We had a local moving company help us with the move-in and so it was important that all the little things like reservations for the loading dock and freight elevator went flawlessly, and they did.
The leasing office folks have been great but the the concierge folks have also been very helpful with the myriad little questions we ve had (even identifying some restaurants that are still open and serving after the opera).
We are looking forward to actually living in our Harbor Steps apartment and I expect that when I revisit this review someday I will be reporting as positive of a living experience as we had in the arranging and moving in experience.

Loved living at Harbor Steps! Concierge and amenities were amazing! Love Kelly and Adrianna! Lived there for a year and wish I never moved out. So much near by and this is hassle-free living! They treat you like royalty and value you as a resident long after lease-signing.

<3 Harbor Steps!

Recently relocated from overseas to Seattle to start a new job with a nearly immediate start date after my arrival. Leasing Manager Kimberly Allen and her team are unbeatable. They made my transition super-easy and quick.

Their listings aren't real! I found a 1 bed apartment on Zillow listed for $2,115 per month so I have contacted the property for a tour. They replied back the day later asking for my preferences in terms of size, move-in date, amenities and budget! I told them what are the amenities, price, sq ft etc better for us and I asked if the apartment on Zillow was still available! they said yes ( I have the email as a proof!) so we scheduled for a tour. Also, I ended my shift earlier because of the appointment! So, once arrived, the same lady (Adrianne) told us that the apartment doesn't really exist, the floor plan was a lie and the price is not accurate! All because of a marketing strategy! I think this was a trap, she knew everything but not been honest and professional! They are supposed to tell you what they have available before scheduling for a tour! Instead, she let us arrive so we can tour different apartments and maybe rent one for a bigger price! Very bad experience, not professional at all, spam and such a waste of time! Also?! the price listed this morning is even lower! (see attachment) LOL!

Larry is the best. This what I can start with. I had a tour two weeks ago and I fall in love with this building. Unfortunately I did not find available view that I was looking for. But Larry worked hard to find me the closest options. His flexibility and being on top of it was so amazing. He called me after his working hours, just trying to deliver the best quality o0f service. Although it did not work at this time but I am sure I will consider this home in future. Thank you!

Harbor Steps leasing staff was extremely helpful and assisted us on our recent trip to Seattle to find an apartment. They were flexible in getting us in to see one of the apartment units, despite being overbooked. They fit us in flawlessly and we ended up finding the prefect apartment for our move! Thanks to Robin and the rest of the leasing staff!

We are moving into Harbor Steps next month. We have been working with Larry who is literally amazing. From our initial call he was so helpful & found us exactly what we were looking for. He's incredibly knowledgable about the spaces & very thorough. We're so exited!
Thanks Larry!

If you like to pay about $3k/mo for floods (yes plural) in your living space, jackhammers working away at the exterior wall M-F 8-5 creating interior noise levels of 75+ decibels, and a property management company who doesn't care at all about their residents, this is the place for you!

The move in process was amazingly stress free! The community, staff and fellow tenants are beyond welcoming and we couldn t ask for a happier place to call home as we start our journey as newlyweds. Huge thank you to Robin for helping us secure our next home without even taking a tour and making sure we we re settling in well ( our fur babies included )! This community is a dream and can t wait to enjoy all it has to offer in our time here.

What gets better is the amazing team Harbor Steps has here. We were able to have an accent wall painted in our unit! Harry and his team were prompt, 150% professional, and absolute gems.

Don't you just love the sound of jackhammers in the morning? You don't even need an alarm clock because you'll be worken up as soon as the sun rises! Pair that with guys constantly going up in down outside your window, singing at the top of their lungs, making eye contact with you, and just being overall unprofessional. It's been going on since I moved in a year ago. You can have all this for a low price of $2000 a month!*

*$2000 a month for a 500 square foot studio apartment. Includes all features, such as jackhammering all day long!

Such a pain to deliver stuff to. Why can't they just give delivery people an access code or allow residents to unlock the door from their phone. Also I shouldn't be required to show my ID when I deliver something. Pay a second doorman to be in your other building. Don't be cheap.

Just moved here from the East Coast. Since I wasn't able to look at the building beforehand Adrienna Jones gave me a facetime tour and answered multiple questions. She also stayed after hours to help me with a payment issue and has since followed up to make sure everything went smoothly. She's been amazing along with all other staff members here who are warm and go out of there way to make sure everyone's happy.

This place is nice to live, GREAT amenities, nice location and stunning bar just a step far from it! The staff service is very good
Be careful with constructions , this is not a quiet place, sometimes constructions requires all night shifts, and can be very noisy, nothing that can't be fixed with some earplugs

Great advantage to live here is Pike market place , after 6 months we never stoped to be surprised about all food variety do not miss to stay near by!

Absolutely Seattle's best! The quality of service and the responsiveness of the staff is as amazing as the location and amenities of the building!

My parents have lived there for over 14 years. They have had, and continue to have a wonderful experience living there.

Harbor Step's Staff is friendly and very giving! As an employee of Move For Hunger, I work closely with the management team. In participating in the Move For Hunger Program, the Apartment Communities collect food left behind by residents as well as set up food drives and food collection events. Since piloting our Apartment Community Program in Seattle, Washington just last year, Harbor Steps Apartments have collected over 790 pounds of food for their community! Their donations have fed 665 people in little under a year, and they keep donating! The community donates monthly with great response from both management and their residents. It has been a pleasure working with the Harbor Steps Apartments' community, and I look forward to seeing what they accomplish in the future!

Lived here for a year in the NE tower. Possibly the most iconic Seattle apartment complex. Very mature and thoughtful management team. Amenities were in good shape throughout our stay. Move out process was super smooth and stress free. Worked with Larry during move out and was impressed at the level of service we got. Highly recommend.

The entire staff at Harbor Steps is amazing but Larry is the greatest leasing consultant I have ever worked with. Not only is Larry knowledgeable and engaging when showing the apartments, he also consistently exceeds expectations by going above and beyond with his willingness to help and make a stressful relocation smooth and efficient. But wait, there s more! He is also an all around wonderful person who truly cares about the property and residents. No apartment is perfect but Larry and the staff at Harbor Steps raise the bar and any issue feels like it is easily and promptly addressed.

Package room unsafe. Door broken and always left open for nearly 2 months!!! Management although aware won't do anything about it other than a sign that says "do not use this door." There is a magnetic strip that demagnetizes when you tap your fob on the sensor. Even if you do not use the door, it demagnetizes. When walking out of the package room there is a motion sensor that automatically opens the door. When you walk out even on the correct side, the magnet lets go and you have to sit there and wait for it to magnetize to keep it closed. It's ridiculous. The LEASING MANAGER was told about this and her comment was "our service managers have ordered new parts for the door, if the door is not secure it is because residents are not fully closing it." Like that's my problem!? MY PACKAGES AREN'T SECURE! Literally secure the door!!! It shouldn't be up to the residents to sit there and wait for the door to lock!! I can't believe this place and the horrible managers that run this place.

I have been living at Harbor Steps for about a couple of months now and I love to be a part of this community. The ever available concierge, outstanding views, proximity to the most happening places of the city and apartment facilities all contribute to a great living experience. Pro tip: Ask for Larry at the leasing office and he will work diligently to ensure that you find something that suits all of your needs. The leasing office and all of the support staff are considerate and extremely helpful and that makes your stay here worry free.

I am a temporary visitor to my friend in this apartment complex. Just wanted to mention an experience I had at this place on 5/2/2019 - I left my wallet at the gym and had forgotten it for a couple of hours. When I realized I went to the front desk and got it with everything intact. A maintenance personnel had retrieved it and left it there. Tried to thank and tip that person but as per management policy I couldn't. If you are reading this. Thank you!

This rental experience has been nothing but disappointing. The One star is for the absolutely amazing Maintenance crew that is run by Ivan. I believe he has a team of 18 on staff and I have had nothing but wonderful interactions with his team. I would give equity zero stars if I could, without their maintenance staff. Harbor Steps would be lost. Since our move in, we have had smoke fill our apartment from smoking neighbors, we have had staff changes, car break ins, storage break ins, and endless issues with our unit. See pictures for visuals. There was the constant overflowing toilet that finally got changed, our sink collapsed on Thanksgiving eve ( anchor screws were still taped to the bottom of the sink) , there is the smoking neighbor who they were aware of yet still smokes in the non smoking community, there is the third party concierge who acts like they are put out when you ask them to do their job, than there is the collapsing pool, and lastly there is the lack of security for the main tower building. I have had countless emails, in person chats with management and nothing gets resolved. Living at Harbor steps is like living in a hotel but without the daily housekeeping, friendly front desk staff, and people who actually get fined for smoking in their rooms.

The convenience and the beauty of this building would mean nothing without the AMAZING service that Larry provided, helping me from start to finish through long distance assistance while I was in Atlanta.

I chose the very first apartment he suggested to me after I expressed all my needs and preferences. Renting sight unseen is risky but he made every effort to video chat and go over specs. He even catered to my need for natural lighting. ( I have not needed a lamp yet)

It is my first week here and I can t find a flaw.
The best part is, the service doesn t stop when you sign the lease. (I ve had this issue with previous properties) He is ever present and ever helpful, being a clear asset to the company.

If you have the pleasure of working with him, I have no doubts you ll feel at home.

I m leaving here and going to be a year that the elevator has a problem. And now they put this notice that the elevator is out of service they do Airbnb some of the units. Therefore, you should expect so many people always waiting in first floor lobby.
