TCL (or Grauman's) Chinese Theatre can be reached by the Metro Rail north on the Red Line to Hollywood & Vine. It will take you right to The Hollywood Walk of Fame. Feels surreal. The stars with the star's names seem to go on into infinity. Turn left for the Chinese Theatre. It's approximately a 20-30 minute walk depending on how many shops you stop @ along the way. You'll notice tour buses if you prefer that option. The theatre is a beautiful work of architecture. There's Marilyn Monroe's hand & foot prints. Also Natalie Wood, Jim Carey & many others. There's the Flyaway Bus near Hollywood & Vine that will take you straight to the airport for $8.00 with a credit or debit card. Takes about 1 hour. Grauman's is a free activity that should not be missed..

Interesting experience. Directly next to the famous theatre, it's on the 3rd floor. Eclectic mix of people who are attending movies here. Typical prices for tickets and concessions, no weird things because of the location. Theatres are not terrible but not top of the line.

Was on vacation in LA so I brought tickets to see Spider-Man Far from Home in IMAX 3D, but on the day of the showing, they downgraded us to IMAX 2D. They offer to reimburse us with a $5 off coupon or a 4D screening at a slightly later time. I opted for the 4D screening but when I arrived at the theatre, they gave us the 2D tickets instead.

What am I suppose to use a $5 off coupon for a movie playing at a theatre that I won t be able to come back to since I don t live in LA.

Never ever experience anything like this from any theatre I ve been to. Would not recommend coming here.

This theater is good. The screen is huge and sounds are amazing. The only thing I would change or improve on is the seats. Some are good and some a terrible. Hopefully the seats will get an upgrade. But overall all its a good theater.

Did the tour of the TCL Chinese tour. Our guide was great and gave us lots of information. Learn how the feet and hand print in concrete started, to the architecture of the building. When you first walk in you will see murals and costumes from the biggest movies. Then you will go inside this breathtaking theatre.

If you are a movie person you have to watch a movie here. So much history and you'll probably never watch a movie in a theater as beautiful as this. It's worth the money just for the experience and it's also IMAX. Check out the bathrooms while your there, it feels like you're walking into a time machine.

TCL Chinese Theatre is a movie palace on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6925 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, California. Originally named and still commonly known as Grauman's Chinese Theatre, it was renamed Mann's Chinese Theatre in 1973; the name lasted until 2001, after which it reverted to its original name. We saw Avengers Endgame here and it was fun to experience a classic venue. The curtain was broken at the time so we didn t get to see it. The chairs were comfy and the screen/sound were good quality. We could have selected seats further back. Didn t seem to be a bad seat in the house if the ornate, beautiful theater!

This place is a tourist trap, although with no cost to visit. The hand and foot prints in cement in front of the theatre's entrance are interesting, but hard to see because so many people are standing on them. It's worth a 15-20 minutes visit IF you are in the area only!

It will turn a century old in 2022, yes that's a historical theatre in existence and open till today. It has been homes to many famous premieres specially the Star Wars, 1977. It also house some original stuff from Star Wars movie on display inside. The architecture is a marvel in itself. It also boasts of the biggest IMAX in USA with almost 1000 people seating capacity. Don't miss watching a movie on IMAX in it.

Unless you come during an event, it s a pretty plain landmark. There are celebrity hands and feet beyond the roped off area but you can t get to them, unlike the stars. Looked like a pretty dirty and touristy place, not much to see or do here.

Had an unfortunate situation ended very pleasantly. Through miscommunication/poor scheduling we missed our tour because of a premiere, but the manager was extremely pleasant and professional and not only refunded us but went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our experience.

A classic LA experience. Who doesn t like putting their hands into the cement castings of famous movie stars and seeing their signatures? The inside of the theater is gorgeous, and of course done in a Chinese themed decor. This theater is an architectural Icon of Hollywood.

This theatre is historic and iconic and definitely lives up to that name. The exterior architecture is truly a wonder worth seeing and just to see all the names on the concrete below is a must stop sight to see!

Iconic Theater on Hollywood Blvd!

Iconic Theater on Hollywood Blvd!

I saw this theater so many times in my youth, it was a trill to actually visit it as an adult.

There is no admission fee to see the hand prints and some of them are amazing to see in real life.

Beware, there are lots of peddlers outside the theater, and the whole area is very sketchy especially at night. Beware.

You can't visit Hollywood Blvd and not visit the Chinese Theatre! Smaller than it look in movies, but still really cool to look at. You can take a behind the scenes tour or catch a regular movie. Located right off the walk of fame with plenty of stars to guide your way to the theatre. Fund atmosphere at night with all the street vendors and performers.

Best screen maybe ever. Maybe just in America. Maybe just in California. But definitely in LA. City Walk may have the backing of an American media conglomerate. But the TCL has the backing of Chinese conglomerate. What do we call that? Synergy.

This place is awesome it can get crowded at times. But looking at all the hand and foot prints of the stars now and in the past is a lot of fun and interesting. The theater is amazing. It is beautiful and it hasn't changed over all the years. It now has Cima max.

Well, the Chinese is, and has been, the place wher...

Well, the Chinese is, and has been, the place where the best World Premieres take place, and now that it's become an IMAX theatre, it's the place to go, as it's the bridge between REAL IMAX (which has like 3 theatres left in LA) and FAKE IMAX, found at your local AMC chain.
But that's another discussion to be had at another forum (maybe on my review of City Walk's theatres, REAL IMAX there, yo'!)
With the IMAX transformation, the Chinese lost some seats but gained BETTER ONES, not quite fully reclineable, but just enough to be comfy for your 2 hour movie (and I'm talking real 2 hour films, not the usual "2 hour" saying when movies are 90 mins. Unless they're counting the trailers... But I digress)
All in all, if you haven't, and have a chance, come see a movie at the Chinese!

For me it was waaaaay too crowded. Not many people have common courtesy , a few do. Everyone is trying to take pictures, and everyone is in everyone's way. I've been to TCL before. It just looks dirtier . On TV when they do the feet in the cement or someone gets a star they make it look shiny and polished. When you go just regular days it's complete night and day clean wise. Traffic is horrible, parking is a nightmare, parking places charge anywhere between $7 and $25. I think if you're going to go you should go like Monday through Friday, not Saturday or Sunday. Unless you like the crowds.

The place was absolutely gorgeous. The street was crazy crowded all around me but occasionally I managed to find a quick break in the flow of pedestrian traffic to catch a semi decent picture of the structure. It really was a sight though we don't have anything resembling it in my hometown so it was definitely something to gawk at. Next time I go on a vacation I have to go back to get some better pictures of the building's ins and outs. This time out time was of the essence so I wasn't able to.

Just like you have seen it all those times over the years on Television..Grand and elegant..You will have fun seeking oit you favourite stars footprints..See how long it takes you to find John Wayne..it seems several people ,like us were having trouble finding his prints...Fir those that are older remember the Lucy Show..where she stole his prints...A good way to spend some time remembering when Hollywood was the centre of everything movies with all the glamour and scandle that went with it.

Hollywood wouldn t be Hollywood without Graumans! Someday I m sure they ll have to build walkways ,in the forecourt,to view the different impressions in the cement as they are walked upon by The countless and are wearing away!

When you do the walk of fame, you can t miss this amazing iconic building with some of the most famous stars handprints, footprints and even some face prints (Michael Barrymore). Don t get taken in by the people dressed up, such as Darth Vader, SpiderMan etc, all offering to have their picture taken with you, as all they really want is your money.

We came here to watch Glass in 4D. While I wasn't particularly excited to watch Glass, the 4D experience was definitely worth trying. Watch out cause you'll get a wet during the rain scenes. All in all it was pretty gimmicky but fun to do once. We saw the movie on the third floor which was similar to other theaters. It had a bar which was cool. I kinda wish I did the tour of the main theater downstairs. The front of the theater is impressive.

I've been here more than 20 times already. I always buy the popcorn tons when I go. This place has spacious seats and amazing audio and picture quality. I went to cinemark xd to watch avengers infinity war then I came here and wow. So damn different. Like night and day. The audio is astounding and the picture quality is outta this world. If I had to pick a theater to go to this would definitely be first on my list.

Historic for the Hollywood premieres from the early days of Hollywood to today's premieres. If you're a fan of Hollywood history or a casual visitor, the Chinese theater is worth a stop. If you're lucky you might get a chance to witness an actual movie premiere and gave upon some famous actors.

Closed when we visited, but was able to see the outside facade. A huge chuck of Hollywood history is right there at that theater. Was great to see it, even if we could check out the outside of the building. We did a complete history and review on our blog and YouTube channel.

The theater looks amazing inside. IMAX screen is very big and clear, sound is good. Seats are very comfortable and the space between rows is great.
There's also enough height difference between rows that no one can block your view.
I really recommend coming here to watch films. Can also be pretty empty at night, even on weekends.

Worth every penny.
I came here for my first time to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in IMAX. It is a beautiful and visual experience.
When you walk into the theater, you can sense the history that has happened here and it s like you are going back in time to Hollywood s golden age.

Packed out front. Lots of people in costume trying to get you to take a picture with them. Be warned. When they hold their hand out like they want to shake your hand, they pull you in to try to take a selfie. Very uncomfortable for me.
