Beautiful picture quality and audio. I wish the seats weren t so rocky though - they get uncomfortable after a while. But overall a great theater worth experiencing for big films. Make sure to get your parking ticket validated!

TCL Chinese Theatre is a perfect spot for your vacation photo op. Fit your hands and feet into your favourite star s imprint in the the ground. Place them in and see if they fit. This is a classic attraction that never fails to draw high numbers of crowds.

If you re lucky enough you may be there during a red carpet event and then you will be witness to some serious action in the street. Its a one of a kind experience and if you can be there for something special do it.

Man this place is always popping. It's a major tourist attraction. On the very cement you walk on as you enter in the building are the hand prints, feet prints and signatures prints from all the Hollywood Stars from actors, singers, and entertainers. On certain days the very cement the prints are on, that open foyer is actually a place where they play free movies for the public to view. It's pretty dope.

Wow this is a beautiful theater! It's expensive but it's one of two true imax theaters in LA. My only gripes are that it's right in the center of tourist town and that it costs money to park. But it's only 2 dollars for 4 hours so it's not terrible.

It truly is a wonderful place to visit. You'll get to see imprinted hands and shoes from famous movie stars from them and now on a slab of concrete. Marilyn Monroe actually left her earring in the concrete until months later one day someone tried stealing it and was able to take a piece of the earring. You can still see what I think is the diamond still in the slab of concrete. You can also watch a movie in the theatre that once held the award ceremonies for celebrities. The seats recline all the way back. Super comfy! Go visit this place! You won't be disappointed! Oh and I recommend you take the theatre tour too!!!

If you are a tourist you owe it to yourself to go inside and have a look. Even better, go see a movie showing here. I saw the new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom the day before it released. The theater was awesome. The sound is up there with any other modern theater/cinema and this place has been going since 1929

One of the most amazing places to see a big action movie. The screen and sound are second to none. The decor is also incredible and reminds you of a time when movies were a big deal. Definitely visit if you can.

We took some out-of-town relatives here and they had a blast. We went during Oscar weekend and I was surprised how organized they had everything outside of the closed event area. There's some great souvenir shops across the street as well. Just avoid those costumed characters at the front and you'll have a great time.

Really cool place to pass by. Just be mindful that it s always packed around here. It s a landmark and a must see tourist attraction. The structure is amazing and it s cool to actually see in person. Definitely a must if it s your first time in LA. It s part of one of the touristy things you must do!

A street filled with people forcing you to buy their albums . Don t put ur hands out and take the DVDs! They will sign on it and force you to purchase it by pulling your arms. They might even shout at you for rejecting them. Also, they like to target people who look like tourists. I ll never recommend this place to anyone. It s overrated. Nothing much to see.

This is one of the major tourist attractions of the town. A good place to visit with family. The seats of the theater are comfortable and the sound quality is also nice. The courtyard is also nice for roaming around.

The safest and most secure spot in LA.. they have super heroes running around like wild animals. Nice Tourist Stop take a few pics and look at hands and feet cemented in the Ground of famous people you know and some you probably don t. Unfortunately not as glamorous as It s been hyped up to be imo.

The curtain was broken at the time so we didn t get to see it. The chairs were comfy and the screen/sound were good quality. We could have selected seats further back. Didn t seem to be a bad seat in the house if the ornate, beautiful theater!

The Main Chinese theater is amazing. One of the largest screens, best sound systems, and best projector setups. Completely redone several years ago. The architecture is simply amazing. They also have small side theaters with even a 4D environment al screen. Must go at least once.

Such a great experience. I ve been here twice for an opening night screening and both times the theatre was packed and people were cheering during parts of the movie. Quite an unforgettable experience and there are not many cinemas like this left in the world.

Retrofitted for IMAX in the old theater, terrific newer cineplex featuring the Dolby Atmos system. There are older movie houses (such as the wonderful old Egyptian close by), but of course none is so famous & storied as this one. Wonderful old prints of glamorous movie stars having their hands & feet imprinted onto the forecourt adorn the hall to the cineplex upstairs - come early to gaze and take pictures. There forecourt itself is a treat after twilight, lit up with entertaining projections. Meander among the imprints there & marvel that these actors stood & celebrated right where you are

Cast, crew, and press screening... seeing great actors in person, great picture and sound quality, free popcorn and soda, what review could I give but five stars. The theater is amazing. The bathroom is unique. Hollywood and Highland seems like the best place to park, some of the others gouge you.

It's historic cinema opened around 1920s. It can accommodate about 900 people. Just in front of the cinema you can see the famous Hollywood actors' foot print. They offer also a 30 mintues guided tour talking about the history of the cinema. The cinema still show movies to date.

Great cinema right in the middle of Hollywood at the steps in the walk of Fame stars. I saw Jurassic world 2 in 4D here and it was a great experience overall.
The ticket was really expensive though ($30!!)

This theatre is so beautiful! It's so historic and I love all the historic hand prints in the cement outside. Then you go inside and it's just elegant. It is so old school Hollywood. The screen is huge and in Imax, they updated all the sound and projection so it's all modern.

Loved the architectural design inside and out! Nice concept Sid came up with for the signatures and foot and hand imprints! Actually did the 30 minutes VIP tour which provided some history on how it all came about. Pretty cool! I love how Sid ceased the moment! Again Star Wars fan so it was nice seeing characters costumes/figures.

Beautiful theatre to see a movie in! When I m in the area I love to stop by. It s always full of people outside, but for good reason. So much movie history! Seeing the hand and foot prints is a lot of fun. And the building itself is so beautiful, inside and out. The imax screen is in actual Chinese Theatre, but do note that TLC also has other screens nearby. If you park at the Hollywood and Highland mall, the theatre will validate to help bring down your parking costs. P.s. the bathrooms are nice, clean, and big!

This is where they filmed some of the Academy Awards ceremonies. A very grand and historic theatre.

I only did the tour of the theatre and it was great! Some Star Wars recreations were displayed at the time because of the release of the last jedi. This theatre is known for their association with the franchise. We then went outside and learned some history about the handprints on the floor.

I got to sit in some of the seats and although it is exciting, I don't think it's the best place to see a movie nowadays.

I opted to see the last jedi in their new 4DX theatre and that was WOW! Very realistic and cool effects (Rain when there is rain on screen, if a character burps you smell it, fire smell when there is fire in the scene, the seats move when you are in the spaceship, etc). I highly recommend that!

PS: if you do the tour, remember the name of your tour guide. If you see a movie on the same day, you get a free small popcorn. Just tell the concession stand employee the name of your tour guide.

They let people who happened to be freely walking in the theater to join in on tours for free just bc they happened to already be in there. Don t waste the $14 when you can walk in for other reasons then jump in with the paid group.

Beautiful theater and the 30 minute your was filled with interesting facts. We had the LA go-pass and this was included as one of the activities. Such a unique history and great tourist stop.

As you walk into the theater you walk down a long entrance with huge B&W photographs of classic Hollywood stars on both sides of the wall. There is usually some type of event being promoted inside that s fun! They have standard concession stands but they do have a bar area for those who want a cold beer while watching a movie. The screens are very large, and the sound design is amazing. You can pay a little more for the chairs that vibrate, and move when watching certain movies. My friends loved that. I didn t, so I turned the function off on the seat. I m glad that was an option. They play great movies, and the theater is clean. The staff is nice, and the location of the theater is in a very popular, and fun area to explore. One of my favorite theaters to watch movies at. The architecture is amazing. Look up towards the sky, and you will see a little dragon. Tip: If you take pictures with the pushy people in costumes on Hollywood Blvd, in front of the theater, they will charge you $20.00 or more. They do not tell you this beforehand. I politely say hello, and walk around them.
