There are framers all around, but no one will give you the personal attention and care I find at Formerly Taws. Dov has been in the business for decades and really knows his craft. But ha also has a real passion for it and the taste to help you make the best choices for your art and memorabilia. He loves a challenge and the prices are good too.

I've written about Taws/Formerly Taws before because they are the BEST. If you need creativity in a project, this is the place to go. Even if you think you don't need creativity and just want something simple like a picture in a black frame, it'll turn out better than you ever thought it could. (Try them and you'll see.) I started using the 'original' Taws in the 1990's and I'm still a huge, loyal fan - they saved my neck many times over the years with my projects. I'm eternally grateful!!
Dov is wonderful. Quality of work excellent. I appreciate how much time he takes to help select the most flattering frame and appropriate glassware. Dov also does excellent restoration work on antique frames and works in oil that have become tarnished over many years.

I met Dov and Susan years ago and found their work excellent. Not only was the art completed as promised, but their ideas for colors / double mats taught me how good the art could look. Since their location in Center City Philadelphia was so convenient I could walk to the shop at lunchtime. Now even my older pieces reframed with archival mats and new frames look wonderful.
They are a lovely group of people. They do magnificent work framing beautiful art and priceless family portraits.
