Outstanding across the board. David is highly knowledgeable, has tons of experience and, most importantly, integrity. Audiophiles or newcomers to this hobby can trust David. I certainly do, and I've been at this game since the 1980s.

Bought my first complete system from SE in 1989, and enjoyed their flagship store downtown for many years. They've always run a precise hi-end store that was as artful in sound design as it was in featuring a high quality sound-centered, audiophile lover's environment. They always have a solid array of excellent components. Their new showroom model at Union Square continues this tradition by providing individual listening sessions by appointment only, which I enjoyed very much recently. Their professional staff are all sound connoisseurs who are highly skilled in matching your musical tastes with the right hi-end gear.

Sold them my high-end surround system as it was just too much for my small apartment. Worked with Dave the owner. I sent him pictures and a list of the items, he provided me a quote, then I took the items into his shop. He met me outside with a cart, took the stuff upstairs, tested it, and then cut me a check. Simple and hassle-free. Sure I could have gotten more if I d sold the stuff myself, but I didn t want to deal with non-serious, time-wasting hagglers on Craigslist. Thank you, Stereo Exchange!

As a recent convert to vinyl, and with limited knowledge of the high-end landscape, I found the team to be patient, knowledgeable and and extremely friendly. I came in with a specific budget in mind and they delivered an exceptional product! I also give very high marks to their personalized service. The team took tremendous care to understand my room setup and even made changes to the system - at no cost to me - after experiencing the music in its eventual home.

My favorite high-end audio shop. It's been a delight to get some of my best pieces of equipment from Dave and his staff over the past 5 years. These guys are truly devoted to their customers' audio experience; they don't just "sell audio." They are always professional, trustworthy and tremendously accommodating.
