Food was great, atmosphere was good. Service was good. Prices are around $35/head out the door. The only drawback is the outdoor seating right now. Seem to be prone to flies. I understand there is probably not much they can do about it, but it was a bit of a bother when dining outside. Aside from that- great restaurant!

We went to AOC for a birthday dinner for my mom. We've passed by this place a ton and have always loved the look of its exterior, and decided to finally try it out. I made us a reservation for 5:30 PM on a Sunday and while when we arrived it wasn't too busy, once we left it was definitely crowded!

We ordered a martini and a glass of wine for drinks. Keep in mind this is served in a sort of tapas style, so small plates that are meant to be shared. For some starter plates we got the Little Gems salad and some clams--both tasty but still even smaller than we expected!

For some mains we decided to split the Grilled Wild Sea Bass platter and the Lamb Skewers platter. The Sea Bass was delicious! Very well done. The Lamb Skewers, while a little less impressive, had a nice salad with it that we enjoyed.

For dessert, we got a cappuccino, the pineapple upside-down cake, and the cannolis. All good! And they were nice enough to put a candle for the birthday gal.

Service wise--it was alright! I felt at times that other tables were getting a bit more of a priority over us which was a bit frustrating, but overall everyone was kind.

It was good, but for the prices, we weren't as wowed as we would have liked!

Came here for a glass wine. Good selection and also the Happy Hour wine was really good. I love the atmosphere of the place; there is valet parking but if you are lucky enough there are metered parking all around

Awesome place to grab a drink at. Great cocktails, good vibes, and a cute setup. Went with a large group of people and everyone seemed to enjoy their drinks. Service was great as well. Really recommend this bar. We will be back!

Ordered tons of veges. Really meh. Cauliflower had no taste. Bland. Kale had a lovely texture but lacked flavor. Rice was soft and lacking any distinct flavor also. Maybe meat and cheese selection is on point but nothing we had as vegetarians was.

Doesn t get much better. Sit in the courtyard to be transported to the Mediterranean. The menu is slightly expensive but it s totally worth it. We got some delicious drinks. Try the G&T! The food was also perfect and the server was very friendly. Only downside is it was for a birthday and the complimentary ice cream was charged on the bill.

Best cocktails I've had in awhile. The concept is super cute and I love how it's an unexpected gem in a not so crowded area. Free parking is always GREAT. The high plainsman was my favorite- I'm an old fashioned girl and it just hit the spot.

Great place for breakfast. Coffee is really good, I am a big fan of diner coffee back east, so this is a plus. Try the La omelet, service is very friendly and provides timely service. Little traffic on street, great place to relax.

Quite the romantic spot! Their outdoor patio is open and they ve created a brand new outdoor space that s probably tripled their number of tables.

We ordered a bottle of Syrah and split several items. Spanish fried chicken is a MUST. Bacon wrapped dates were great bc the bacon was super crispy and they weren t greasy (ya know?).

We had the tomato+chorizo+pesto focaccia and, although good, I wouldn t recommend due to the size of the dish (and I was hoping it would be more of a traditional focaccia). We also got the farmer s plate (nice and more veg friendly) and the pear+hazelnut salad (I liked, my partner said it was skippable). Would love to go back with guests from out of town!

We came here for lunch with a large group (12 people) and the service was great, they managed to keep things quick and all the food came at the same time. The food was tasty and inventive with a couple of solid vegan options. It is quite pricey but not crazy given the area and the level of the food.

Really thought the pandemic would be over by my birthday but sadly it has not. So glad to have stumbled onto A.O.C. on yelp. I kindly requested a nice table and they were able to accommodate.

Ambiance: Reservations are to be made online. I was able to make one a day prior (maybe because it was a weekday). Definitely plan ahead if trying to book for a weekend. They check your temp at the door. I believe they have two sections of outdoor dining, one in the patio area and one in the parking area. I can only attest to the patio area which boasts about 7 tables, each can seat up to 4? The patio area was very lovely and romantic.

Food: Portions were small but also can be shared quite nicely with one other person. We ordered the three cheese plate (I believe was blue cheese, Brie, and a hard cheese), corn and avocado salad, clams, curried cauliflower, duck confit. For drinks we had the watermelon whiskey. Everything was delicious: the salad was very refreshing, the clams were soft and buttery, the cauliflower was heavy in the curry flavor which I do enjoy, and The duck was served very well similar to the ones to I had in Paris.

Customer service: The greeter, host, and all of the servers were very respectful. I don t drink much, so when I ordered a cocktail and requested an extra glass to share with my friend, they kindly gave us two mini cocktails. That did it for me right there.

TLDR; reservations. Romantic. Good food. Great customer service.

Side note: a.o.c. stands for appellation dorigine controlee: the French certification for geographical regions of wine, cheese, and agricultural products.

Very nice Tapas restaurant. Super busy so I recommend a reservation. We went for my birthday and tried a variety of dishes the clams were amazing and so was the Hanger Steak our waiter suggested the Faria and Kale probably my least favorite but , everything else was tasty. Also, they have a good happy hour between 5-7 everyday. Our Reservation was for 7 we arrived a little early and were able to enjoy a cocktail at the happy hour price.

A blast from the past for game aficionados. An awesome place to get together with friends or even by yourself for a quick game or two on retro arcade games. Arcade games take quarters, and of course A.O.C. has a change and A.O.C. machine convenient.

Such an amazing experience. Had about two thirds of the menu items and almost everything was so very fantastic. I personally didn't like the kabocha squash salad much, but my lady really enjoyed the salad for both of us. I will definitely be coming back here again. Also, the butterscotch Pot de Creme was Incredible... my mouth just started watering... Such a great night. Wish I had pictures to post, but the food just disappeared befor I could snap a shot or two.

First, make sure you are in the mood for small plates, lots of small plates, as the food is delicious and you'll want to try many things. Also, try a new wine as the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about their wines. But bring some earplugs b/c the place is LOUD. So much so, I made us eat, drink and leave in under an hour.

Hands down for this amazing Italian spot!!! A.O.C.
Excellent should be their name
Pasta-pasta-antipasto-cheese board-pasta
100% authentic
100% exquisite A.O.C.
100% made from scratch
I just love it. A.O.C.
They have a reduce space, so would be much better if you reserve ahead of time, but if you want just a quick stop, they have a little spot in Piedmont, where you can buy any type of pasta, and some sauces. I think they also have a limited menu to serve there.A.O.C.

Came in for authentic Italian pizza and that it was! This cute little restaurant in silver lake is a must try!The veggie pizza with Brussels sprouts was amazing! I loved every bite. The penne pasta with mushrooms was delicious too.

The lamb and steak dishes we ordered were both phenomenal, well cooked and seasoned. Very friendly manager/owner(?) Do note that their portions are small, almost a tapas size, probably need 3-4 for 2 people looking for seriously filling dinner. The size is like tapas but the price isn t. so yea great food but on the pricy side

This is my go-to spot for brunch! If there's no new interesting place to go to for brunch, then I'll go to AOC!

Ambiance
I like the outside seating better than the inside. The outside gives you an intimate, but open vibe. It usually is crowded on weekends, but I never had trouble getting a seat with last min reservations.

Food
I always get the vintner's lunch. That has everything I absolutely love - meat, cheese, pickled veggies, and toasted bread!! Needless to say that this dish pairs perfectly with wine. Since no brunch is complete without a bottle of wine, I always get this. But people that I came here tried chicken & waffles among other breakfast items. From what I understand, C&W tastes good!

Service
Service is okay. It's nothing that'll blow your mind, but you'll get through your meal without getting angry :) If you order a bottle of Rose, it'll remained chilled :)

Great place for happy hour and dinner. Very pleasant ambiance. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We couldn't decide where we wanted to sit at first and they put us right were I asked near the fireplace. They had semi-outdoor seating too but we were a little chilly.

Busy busy place, especially on the weekends. Parking situation is basically Valet or else, as there isn't a parking lot to speak of and the street parking is horrendous.

Food is very good, wine is excellent, the ambiance is superb. Waiters are attentive and generally very friendly. Farmer's lunch is very interesting and the various breads and cheeses are to die for.

The price of the food is slightly on the high end, but not unreasonable. However they tack on a 3% fee on top of tax automatically, apparently for employee's health insurance - why that isn't included in the food price is beyond me.

Over all a great place to hang out, but do remember to make reservations. On some weekends it could be so busy that the WHOLE day is booked.

If I could give it no stars i would, let me tell you why. After receiving good service and tasty food and paying the bill the restaurant kicked us out. About 40 give or take people had a private room upstairs and I was appalled that right after taking out money the manager told us we were never to to welcomed again. She then said that she is calling the police on us. I would have returned again but now would never consider it!

Worst service. Oily faux gourmet food. Everyone's too busy pretending to be busy to serve and in a huff. God forbid you ask a "water guy" for a menu. Can't do it. Create a manic and stressful vibe all for a turkey sandwich.

We had a very nice dining experience this afternoon at A.O.C. The pasta and salads were fresh and tasty. To start we particularly enjoyed the focaccia. If you have room for dessert, the butterscotch peu de creme is highly recommended. You can enjoy everything at a leisurely pace if you choose.

I really liked the food. My coffee however took forever to come and arrived cold. The second cup was awesome.

There's a lot of negative reviews that cite bad service. Ours was OK but not perfect.

Be forewarned.
