Phenomenal burger - delicious flavour, perfect ratio of beef to crisp toppings, on a light cakey sesame bun. Don t change a thing. Would definitely recommend and will be returning before we leave Sooke.

My new go-to spot for lunch before or after visiting the beaches in Sooke! Super friendly dudes , very fast, and the burgers were incredible . I got the cheeseburger royale with bacon and my girlfriend got the veggie burger . They were both amazing and the coleslaw and potato salad sides were really good too! You won t be disappointed .

I am not usually a burger person but I will stop and take these ones home for the family. Taste yummy and good portions. Big kahuna with Glenwood bacon is the way to go! Always fresh and he does his best to figure out supplies for the day.

The secret is out about Tastebuds clearly because just how busy they are now but it s HANDS DOWN THE BEST BURGER IN VICTORIA! Don t take my word for it come find out for yourself. Jamie is awesome and so is the food :D

To the review that says he ran out of food oh no you poor thing you drove out from town during a global pandemic and overwhelmed a community that isn't used to that much volume especially during a pandemic when they struggle to get supplies to feed locals and visitors. I appreciate that they worked all winter here in East sooke and supported our community. Shame on you.

After a day of hiking along the East Sooke Coastal and Interior trail, we stopped at a quaint grocery, food truck outside had very friendly and inviting staff, easy to pick from the menu with all B.C. local produce and meat, the burgers were amazing, with house made potato salad and slaw!

Amazing gourmet burgs in the middle of nowhere! Plus' solid oldies playing on a record player. Definitely a good post hike meal. Friendly staff as well. Good job boys!

Gourmet burgers in East Sooke! Worth the drive. Homemade potato salad and coleslaw to go with a perfect burger. All accompanied by the B52s the Doors from an old portal turntable. Great food, great music, great chef! We'll be back.

As local East Sooke people, we think we are so lucky to have TasteBuds right on our doorstep. This is one of the best burger places we've ever tried...and we've tried a lot of different burgers across the globe over the years. And we take our hats off to the ladies and gents there at TasteBuds for doing a wonderful job over the last few weeks, especially with the huge influx of customers in the last few weeks.

This food truck is great, and the food is always delicious. I was so impressed with how they stayed open AND respected social distancing during the pandemic; he had a Square thing to tap your credit card on a plank two meters away!

We ve been here twice, now, and TasteBuds has the best burgers in Greater Victoria. The Big Kahuna burger is our favourite. When you re craving the best, it s well worth the trip. Oh, and he uses environmentally-friendly products, too.

He has full vegan options, including vegan aioli! That's what my girlfriend gets, and she loves it. I got the Big Kahuna, and it was phenomenal. Recommend for any Sooke people, and to anyone willing to make the drive out. Seriously worth it.

Tastebuds Inc food truck is amazing. Their Big Kahuna Burger with bacon is literally the best burger I ve ever had, no joke. They source local, quality ingredients, have a strong, local following of regular customers, and have an ever increasing customer base. Demand is soaring, so supply and production may at times be coming up short. Hence the possibility that there may be a long wait time, or they may run out of food before closing time. They are working out of a food truck. Until fairly recently it s been one person working the the whole day, and they run 6 days a week. Therefore I think the possibility of a long wait or not getting a meal is reasonable, and acceptable. The fact that they seem to be hiring more staff bodes well, as they re working on meeting the large demand for their fantastic food. 5 stars all the way, and two thumbs up. I ll be coming back at least once a week.

So worth the drive from Victoria in a hail storm! Had The Big Kahuna with bacon add-on and the flavors were amazing! Spicy, sweet and bacon!! Best burger ever!! The cole slaw was nice and the potato salad had an amazing celery crunch! Both complimented the burger perfectly! Highly recommend this sweet little food truck. Check their Facebook for hours. We will be back for sure.
