The worst rental company the woman acted like she couldn t come in the room and speak to me and my friend who is a property manager she spoke through another room on top of that she was rushing me to do the application An as I was filling out the application she left for lunch and said someone else will be able to help you and the next woman had the nastiest attitude and told me she would call me back and never called back wanted $1600 for a deposit !! and I don t have anything on my background credit or any evictions there apartments where small I found the same property with a different property manager the service was much better, bigger an they actually wanted my money!! the service was just terrible just don't do it !!

Tiffany is just the best Manager. My service request are honored immediately . The maintenance people are terrific! We are very pleased with the property! Big improvement for us since we moved from New York .

Great Property Manager manager, they also have multiple properties to choose from to live in.

I have been living in a unit managed by the Tar Heel companies for a couple of years now. The unit is in downtown Cary, great area. I have not had many issues from the unit directly. A few things due to the neighbors but nothing I could directly point to Tar Heel about. Typical apartment living issues. Anything major has been handled quickly and efficiently by Tar Heel which is great. Tiffany Donovan, the property manager, is great. She is responsive and has helped me out several times with issues I have had. Rent is on the lower side for the area but like everything in the triangle it is going up. Would definitely consider extending my lease with them again. They also have office space available, conveniently in the downtown Cary area. For people looking for a single office or meeting space.

Anyone who says Tiffany is a great a manager is either her friend or braindead. She never does her job, is late to everything, doesn t do what she s asked and doesn t care to. She will screw you over 15 ways.

I have quite a bit to say about this company.

The main thing is: they are rude, disrespectful, and insulting. They are irresponsible. and their building is disgusting.

I worked in one of their offices for a small company. One morning I came in and there were dead bugs on my desk. another morning, a large roach about 2 inches wide RAN ACROSS MY HAND. There were wasps in the corner. There were mice (that mouse is my picture, on my co-worker's desk).

when asked to take care of the bug problem, they "set out traps" that they didn't often clean up when full (the stench one Monday after a mouse died in one of those was amazing).

Then, the fun stuff started. I wrote a short little 2-sentence review after the refused to do something about the bug problem. They came into our office and harassed us about it and basically coerced me to take it down. My boss accommodated because he was worried they'd' kick us out of the place.

After we moved to a nicer, mouse-free building, they basically refused to give us our security deposit back, even though we left it as we found it. Finally after some arguing they agreed to give us the deposit back, but we never received it.

When my boss called (and it was all on speaker phone, and I was sitting there) and asked about the check. We moved out in October and by now it was February. he called multiple times, and the secretary transferred him multiple times to the manager's office, where the phone would ring, the line would get picked up, and he was hung up on.

finally after we wrote a legal letter threatening a lawyer they cut us a check and we picked it up that afternoon.

So, just be aware of this place... you won't get helped, you won't get your money back, and you'll probably die from disease.

What everyone else said. Nothing good about this company. They put everything on our bathroom walls not on studs so they fall out if you pump them. Terrible terrible business.

I have much experience in property management/rentals and have worked in the field the majority of my working years. As a tenant with Tarheel Companies, I can honestly say that our experience has been a great one so far. Tiffany Donovan showed and leased the apartment to us a in a seamless process. There were NO tricks I've seen other management teams do like show one unit then flip the script at leasing time just to stick you in a different (and usually not as nice as shown) unit. This company has shot straight with us from day one. Fortunately we have had no maintenance problems to speak of but when my neighbors water heater went out on Christmas Eve, they had a new one installed about an hour or two later. On Christmas Eve no less. The dealings I've had with maintenance have been great. They're polite, competent, and get things taken care of quickly. We have had no pest issues at all. The neighborhood is quiet and nicely landscaped on a weekly basis. I live in a multi-unit townhome building.

I don't do a whole lot of reviews but I felt moved to review Tarheel Co.s because they've been 5 stars for us so far. Hopefully this will help any potential tenants looking for a straight up company to do business with.

Renter beware! The units that this company rent are not updated and very outdated there are a lot of small things like broken cabinets linoleum peeling back damaged doors dingy carpet however when you move out they will want to charge you for things that you didn t even damage or that was already dingy before you moved in. This is not a good place to rent from you will not get support from the management. One of the Rental managers in this establishment is very disrespectful and rude I have to agree with the comments below!

Please do not make the mistake I did and ignore the terrible reviews of this place. They are all valid, if I could give 0 stars I would. Upon move in the unit had not even been cleaned. There were dead bugs on the floor, cobwebs everywhere, the floorboards were disgusting, the railings were brown, the cheap cabinets had paint chips, 2/3 toilets were not working, a/c was broken, multiple outlets didn't work, I could go on... Then a few weeks later we started having flooding issues upstairs. Their "fix" left a huge hole in the wall that they just covered with plastic. Then our water heater broke and caused 2 over $200 water bills which we had to pay. There was constantly water under our house due to poor drainage. Our downstairs bathroom flooded and got sewage all over our carpet, the carpets were cleaned but that nasty water that got under the cabinet and dripped into our kitchen was never addressed. There were so many mosquitoes due to the amount of standing water on the property and under our house that you couldn't walk outside without being eaten alive. They don't even accept online rent payments. You physically have to bring them a check. I had to go buy checks. In 2020. Who has checks in 2020? They only have a couple of overworked maintenance guys who are responsible for tons of run-down, leaky, old properties. It took 6 months to get an ice maker installed which we were promised upon move-in. Please don't sign with this place. I wouldn't wish the experience I had on my worst enemy.
