No stay. Tamarack has slipped badly since the new owner took over. I have been riding across the lake for years for food, drinks, socialization. The food is no longer good, the customer service is HORRIBLE. Some of their employees are such drunks that they have to be kicked out. I stood at the bar for 5 minutes trying to get a beer, i was ignored the whole time. Done.

We attended the Saturday concert series a couple times this summer, it's a beautiful setting and we had a lot of fun. We also snowboard Tamarack regularly it is the least crowded mountain in Idaho. The runs are fun the employees are helpful and happy. The food service needs drastic improvement though.

Absolutely beautiful mountain with great views from the summit. The powder is phenomenal and the ski runs are nice and long. Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. We have been coming to Tamarack every year for the last six years because we always have so much fun and such great skiing!

The entire Resort is beautiful! We stayed in a cottage and it was wonderful. The furnishings and style of the cottage are peaceful and yet luxurious. It was so nice to have all the amenities of a home (kitchen, living area, bedrooms with private bathrooms, even a garage) and the privacy from other guests when desired.

Negative 5 stars possible?? Place was in the middle of a major build several years ago until bankruptcy hit, so part looks like a 1/2 finished ghost town. They are trying to open back up so we though we would give it a shot. Don't waste your money. For 175.00 we booked a king room with a balcony. We checked in a little after 9pm after a day in the mountains and we were hungry so didn't go straight to our room. We quickly found out that food services at the entire resort close at 9, so we had to go into Donnelly for subway. When we got back at 10pm we went to our room and found we did not get a balcony room. When we returned to the front desk we found nobody available. Turns out there is no desk service after the last guest picks up their room card and you must write your name and room number on a check-in form so the Fire Department knows what rooms are occupied in case of emergency. The air conditioner would not cool, the shower head was a hand wand that wouldn't stay up, toilet paper was single ply and you can find better in a rest area (bring your own), and the tub had wear stains. Pool and hottub closed due financial litigation with the golfcourse. We complained Sunday morning when there was an actual person at the desk and we were told management would get back to us on Tuesday but should be able to comp us, joke..still waiting. We travel frequently and by far this was the worst waste of money. You would be better at Motel 6 for a quarter of the cost with twice the service. Just got off the phone with Angel, she was nice but said after talking to her boss that there was nothing the resort was willing to do. Since we booked with Expedia we should discuss it with them. Want some more insight into this crap hole, read Wikipedia about Tamarack Resort.

Tamarack resort was a great experience! The staff was very friendly and we were surprised to find that the resort was not overcrowded during the holiday break. Parking could be improved and I really wish they would install the "future lift" indicated on the trail map.

Very disappointing! We paid $175 for a "resort" hotel with a balcony. What we got was a dark room WITHOUT a balcony, a shower head that wouldn't stay up, a thermostat that didn't cool below 71, no food available anywhere on the property after 9pm- not even a small concession offering soup or snacks, and to make matters worse, NO NIGHT STAFF anywhere in the lodge. Once the last person checks in the desk clerk leaves so you are literally on your own. When we checked out in the morning the desk clerk apologized and expressed personal concern about our stay. She said the manager would call us mid-week and she even suggested that our visit be "comp'd." It's been a week since we left, still no call from a manager or anyone else from the hotel. Don't waste your money on this property, go to McCall!

Only one person working the ticket counter during the holiday break. Get ready to come early and wait in a loooooong line. Check Brundage if you re paying for a day pass so you don t waste your day in line!

Tamarack was the perfect wedding location. We had our entire event at the Arling Center and guests were able to stay onsite which was wonderful. The staff was easy to work with and the venue was perfect for our outdoor celebration!

Spent the weekend here on a little getaway with my husband and we loved it! We packed in a lot of fun activities and enjoyed our room at the Lodge at Osprey Meadows. Room was comfortable and the bed had lots of pillows. Nice sized bathroom with nice finishes. We stayed in a king bed room which worked great, I think next time we will try one of the apartment suites or a cabin for a more homey, private feel. The activities passports allowed us to try several activities without spending a bunch of extra money. I personally feel like this is a better getaway than staying in McCall as it felt more low key and quiet, while still being able to enjoy the same types of recreation. McCall is still close, however, if you want to pop over.

This resort is up and coming! They are still building it. I reccomend staying for a weekend. Bring a few groceries with you. It can get expensive but, if you enjoy hiking, biking, and nature this place should be on your bucket list to visit. I also highly encourage you to try an "Idaho Mule" made with Idaho 44 Huckleberry Vodka! I saved the best for last. Shout out to Amy who works in the Sports Dome. She went the extra mile to make sure my family's first trip together was memorable. Thank you!!

They asked that mask be worn, but I didn't wear one, nor do I anywhere. And they didnt harrass me about it unlike other places (brundage) so that was great! Had an amazing time! Such great trials for MTB. It's great seeing the village getting better and better looking too!

It was an interesting situation. Place is poorly managed or under management change. The pool is not open and no restaurant. They people behind the desk wouldn't even help me get a luggage cart at time of check out even though there was one behind the counter with some ski boots on it. The rooms are beautiful otherwise and huge! Jucuzzi tub loved by the kids as well.

Looking to have a good day with my daughter rock hounding, we ended our day at the lodge's bar and grill. Because of the global pandemic, most employees of the resort were sticking around for the evening to assist with the renovations, and customer care. I was pleasantly surprised at how Friendly everyone was, and the sincere concerns being voiced relative to the towns felling economy, and how local attitudes were working against the resorts ernest efforts to revitalize the local community's desire and need for a fresh start. Luck would have it, the new brick and mortor renovations are being set in place one brick at a time, but with legions of mindful, thoughtful, and optimistic backers, that refuse to just lay down while negativity shovels in the dirt. I commend the backbone of the operation, from the highest pay grade, to the lowest; for it is a calibrated team like management selected that will bring this dieing community back from the dead, no thanks to those who sit around a cracker barrel.

Its Saturday and nearly no wait at every lift on the mountain! Even on 3 day hard pack, the mountain is still better than Bogus Basin. A hidden gem, I'll be back, as often as I can! On a pow day this place would be heaven!

Tamarack resort is a very nice wonderful place with wonderful staff. The resort we stayed in was a 2 bedroom 2 bath that slept 6 had a FULL kitchen with the Amenities needed for kitchen. It was very clean looked like New. There was 3 TVs that worked perfectly with lots of channels. The showers were very nice and Hot. The only drawback was the bed, the sheets were rough and the mattress was firm. The rooms were really warm but easy to cool off just open windows or doors :) The building was very warm. Overall we are planning our next trip there. Thanks Tamarack Resort I can't wait to bring my parents here

Great Skiing. We were the third car in the parking lot at opening time of 9:30. There was also two school buses there, but the kids were on the lower slopes. They do a great job of grooming (no new snow), people were friendly in the lodge (not so much at the lifts), The area has a lot of skiing for just the two lifts that were running. As far as the base are goes it is a shame that most of the permanent buildings, and there are a lot of them, are just finished on the outside, but empty on the inside. The "tents" that serve as the base area infrastructure work well and are tastefully finished inside. The staff for the base area in the bar/restaurant were fun and happy.
The skiing is great, it is an area with steep or moderate and then a bench then another steep or moderate and another bench. I enjoyed it a lot.
Uncrowded!!!! I will go back.

Travelling through western Idaho on a beer tour in...

Travelling through western Idaho on a beer tour in support of my beer blog, I had the opportunity to see and experience many things I don t get at home. I live in the coastal plains so I don t get to see mountains unless I travel. Well, West Central Idaho has plenty of mountains and a resort I stayed at and liked is the Tamarack Resort and its Lodge at Osprey Meadows.

With Tamarack, you get an assortment of lodging options such as cottages, townhouses, and more. I stayed at the lodge and I liked it from the moment I set foot in the lobby. The leather furniture in the lobby, fireplace, wood, and other features make you feel right at home and this home- like feeling continues when you interact with the lodge personnel, all of whom seem anxious to make your visit the best it can be.

Starting with the rooms, they are quiet and once again, have a lodge- like feel, as one would expect. At the same time, they are modernized so don t worry about finding places to plug in your electronics. They have everything you need to keep in touch with the outside world, if you so choose. And they are offered in hotel unit, studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 3 bedroom units.

Outside of the rooms is where you will want to be, however, starting with a walk onto the lobby balcony where you can gaze at the mountains in the distance. Depending on the season, you may also choose to go skiing, snowboarding, hiking, etc. And if you would rather stay right next to the resort, there is an outdoor pool, two hot tubs, fitness center, library, spa, and other extras.

Tamarack resort is currently under construction and because of this, it doesn t have as much to offer as it soon will. Once completed, this area will be like a small village complete with its own shops, stores, restaurants, and other attractions. But even without the village completed, Tamarack s Lodge at Osprey Meadows is still a very cool place to stay. The calm, peaceful atmosphere, mountain views, and attentive customer service make this resort a great place for a getaway right here in west central Idaho, about 2 hours north of Boise.

Came up here for the ziplining experience and was not disappointed. It was an amazing time with wonderful guides! If you haven't been ziplining or if you have but are looking for new places to check out, I would reccomend Tamarack. The scenery was beautiful and ziplines were a great time!

This is a very nice resort. A lot of the amenities are still under construction so the food areas are cramped, especially on the weekends but other that that it is a great place to ski with fewer crowds.

It is a great mountain and it is apparent that they are doing their best to update the place as seen by the unfinished buildings. Service was great and the location is nice and not too hard to get to.
