My first experience at a resort, was disappointed, no breakfast at the lodge, the Canoe had logistics problems at breakfast and could not open so we had to go to McCall for breakfast. No comps offered for problems. Older looking facility and was not impressed by our $150 a night room. It was a common hotel room. Nice drive, impressive area and people we having fun. Maybe as they get more developed things will upgrade to better customer services.

No Air Conditioning house was 86 degrees upon arrival with outside temps at over 100 . Called to inquire t stat said it was cooling told abruptly no AC and hung up . Hot tub is nice but it was 106
Great place and staff for entire resort. Excellent food at Seven Devil's Pub Trip to top of mountain well worth time and cost. Tremendous view from chair lift.
We rented a condo for the week and really enjoyed our stay. There is active construction on site, but the construction guys really worked to not interrupt our time too much. Everyone at the resort, from the folks at the Seven Devils, to the hotel desk clerks were cheerful and helpful. There was always plenty to do, but it was also a nice place just to relax and enjoy. We are looking forward to returning!
Not much to see after hours and under construction....still. When it's all finished it has potential to be amazing. Hopefully that will happen in my lifetime.
Ann at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. Anything we needed or asked for Ann was there to help. The room was large and very clean. The only thing was the bed was firmer than we are used to. We will be coming back soon for another visit. The entire staff was friendly. Thank you!!
The zipline course here is amazing. It has some of the longest ziplines I ve ever been on that are suspended hundreds of feet over the forest floor. The guides were great and gave us a safe and entertaining tour.
We showed up to the resort and got our harnesses and helmets in a side room. Then we got in a little van and went on a bumpy ride up to the top of the resort. Be prepared to hike a little bit between zip lines (they aren t all right next to each other) but they aren t huge hikes either. I think the longest one is a half mile through the shaded forest. It s all downhill though, so watch out if you have knee problems.
One of the ziplines that was especially memorable was a reaaalllly long zip into a treehouse built hundreds of feet in the air. It s at the top of a Ponderosa pine, and when the wind moves the treehouse moves. It was an awesome experience.
All is all I would highly recommend this for anybody in the area. The zips were great, the views of nearby lakes and mountains (even with the smoke we had from forest fires) were beautiful, and there were plenty of laughs between us and the guides. 10/10, would go again.
Great Summer Biking and Winter Skiing. The food selection and service could use some improvement in the winter. In the summer the grocery store in the main parking lot is the place to go.
I love being in the mountains yet you have the lake nearby for fishing or boating.Tha camp grounds are great with a hotspring a short drive away and the drive up the mountain to it is outstanding.
We had our wedding at Tamarack in the Arling Center. We were up there for a total of 3 nights and it was absolutely perfect. Besides the venue being extremely well taken care of the resort itself was soooo nice. The rooms were beautiful and all of my guests were blown away by the accommodations. Brad was there to help with anything I needed and if any issues came up he resolved them with speed and accuracy. It snowed the entire two nights before the wedding and they still maintained the roads and the courtyard of the venue. My guests were all so impressed with the venue, how beautiful it was, and how nice the entire staff was. The restaurant there stayed open late for us on Thursday and we all felt like we were the most important people there the whole weekend. If you are looking for a beautiful, romantic, mountain setting for your wedding, look no further. This place is truly magical.
I was there Saturday - Saturday with my family and it was the most amazing vacations for me and my family, the cabin we stayed was very comfortable and we enjoyed every single day.
This had the potential to be a beautiful place but it's clear that the funding has been spotty. It's all just a bit tattered and very slightly run down. Lots of kids - would be a good place for families
This place was very disapointing. Only one restaurant is open and breakfast wasn't served until 9am. Lift operators assumed we had been on the lift before with no instruction. Dilapidated buildings are scattered around the resort. The sporting rental attendant was very unfriendly as well. Not what I expected. Views are beautiful and surrounding environment is enjoyable.
Tamarack ski resort is unbelievable to see. They maybe under construction, but it looks like a city!!! In the winter Tamarack and surrounding area's have so much for outdoor enthusiasts. I'm a photographer from Meridian, Idaho and only 2 hours away this places rocks!!
ZIP LINING WAS AWESOME!!! Aurora and Rob were our guides, they were so fun and knowledgeable, they truly MADE our trip. The lines were so fun, I felt so safe even though the thought of walking off a ledge into the abyss is terrifying. Highly recommend!
This August we had our wedding at Tamarack s Arling Center. The chapel is beautiful and Nick was great with all our advanced preparations. He made sure the tables and dance floor were all set up the day before. This is such a beautiful location and the weather was perfect!
Rented mountain bikes. They charged someone else's card. Now can't get a return call from accounting. Just an update got a return call from Wolfe in management. Resolved my concern, and working to resolve the matter!
I enjoyed the area but every nite I got bit in bed, I even sprayed bed with deep woods bug spray and still got bit.when I complained upon leaving they acted as if it was my imagination and said that they always have maintenance man check for stuff like that, well I can say he is not checking EVERY BED.. I was there the first week of September . If ever there again I will bring my own sheets. Oh and I just found out that some areas are pet friendly so maybe those were fleas. Not nice...
We were married in the Chapel and hosted our reception at the Grange. Both venues and the surrounding area are gorgeous - your pictures will turn out amazing! We rented a room at The Lodge and it was perfect (2 bed, 2 bath, full kitchen, dining, living), conveniently located overlooking the venue so we could watch as guests arrived. The BEST part of this venue is that you can bring all your own vendors to truly have the wedding YOU want on your budget. You are also allowed access to the Chapel and Grange Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning. Brad, the GM, was very responsive and helpful with anything that came up that weekend to help make our weekend go as smooth as possible. Our guests were able to take advantage of the heated outdoor pool, free bike rentals, hiking trails, running paths, and free lift rides to the top of the mountain! We had the most relaxing fun-filled weekend with all of our family and friends!
We are incredibly disappointed, because we had our hearts set on this facility for a winter wedding. However, this facility currently requires and could potentially, at our future booking, require masks for all (except the bride and groom), or worse, have to cancel, and a refund may or may not be possible. Money aside, it just wasn't worth the risk... We live in a Constitutional Republic, where the people have liberty to make decisions about their health for themselves ("my body, my choice", right?). We wanted our guests to have the freedom to decide whether they wear a mask or not, and we certainly didn't want to book a date, make plans and send out invitations only to be told last minute that we had to turn our guests away in limitation to a smaller number and / or make everyone attending cover their face.
So, until this venue recognizes the freedom and constitutional law our nation is under, we cannot recommend this as a good place to have a wedding in Idaho. We are devastated that people and businesses are relinquising their freedoms so that the government now controls when, where and even how a wedding may take place.
I skied here one day this weekend a. It's a smaller mountain than I'm used to, with just one main lift chain heading up to the top. Not all of the runs were groomed as well as I'd like. And the hours are pretty short, the slopes only being open from 9am to 4pm. But I had a very fun day overall, largely due to the company I was with. For the record, Google is rewarding me with Google Play credit for writing this review.
Friendly staff, groomed runs are well kept, but there is tons of powder and ungroomed runs. Two lifts offer a variety of terrain and conditions, as well as nice long runs of all difficulties
My favorite place to ski in Idaho. Short lift lines if any at all, great snow, good terrain. Yes, it's small, but worth the drive with how much more time you spend skiing because of the small crowds
Love this place. It's a gem! It's a blast no matter the season. Our family wishes we bought a home here...we go so often. Great skiing and always short lift lines even on the blue bird days. I find the powder here to be perfect and even the lower mountain still has good conditions. Mountain biking and hiking is just so peaceful and again never found it to be over crowded. Let's talk food- love it. I've eaten in the hut mid mountain..it's good. The lodge down below is gooood.. Seven Devil's..amazing! Love ending my day, no matter the season with a beer and burger from this place!
Today I was very disappointed with the lack of grooming. Could have been so much better with care to post fresh snow tilling last night. I am an avid skier and I think they skimped on caring about season pass holders during mid week.
Apparently wifi isn't available in all of the rooms, and when you book this isn't an option that you can choose from. Also, the main things are great, but a lot of small details are lacking.
Went to the Lazer show with the kids tonight. Super cool to see them trying to keep this place poppin! Went to the pub afterward and they were slammed! They told us that they only had one cook on and the food would take forever. Good news though, Jade was our server! Through the chaos she smiled and kept us so happy. She assured us that even with the long wait, she would be there for us to make sure our experience was great. We own a restaurant, the management and owners need to staff up for a better experience. Cooks walking out because of stress is a horrible environment to work in. Thank God you ve got killer servers. She is unreal. Thanks Jade! We will be back.
