I live here monthly $420.00
50 amp..... Quite, trophy bass in the lake. Plenty of yard space, hook ups are right next to me. Laundry and shower rooms. The roads need more dirt or rock because of pot holes. No cable, no internet unless close to front office.

We came here on our way back to the Treasure Coast after evacuating from Hurricane Dorian and we only wanted somewhere to sleep for the night with full hookups.

We rolled in around 4, got set up, and our power promptly shut off. We saw people working on the issue and the power came back on. Then went off. This happened a couple more times before we were approached by an employee that said our rig was overpowering the grid and they asked us to move. It was a little inconvenient as we'd just set everything up, but we needed the power so we agreed. They were super nice about it and apologetic so we really weren't too bothered.

Luckily that was our only issue! And aside from the older looking full time rigs in the back, the park was nice!

Stopped there while running from Hurricane Irma. Looked at web site and called ahead. When we got there we were told it was a 2 night minimum@$42/night. No where was this posted or mentioned during several phone contacts. We protested but was told " it is policy" Very dirty place with very tight quarters, no services except water, sewer and ify electric. Irma was forecast ti come right over Tallahassee so we decided to depart after 1 night. We again asked for a refund on the unused night but were told no - reason given - again "policy" The owner stated that if they gave us a refund they would have to refund everyone that was leaving!!
My newest " policy" is to avoid ALL Good Sam parks! If this place meet ANY minimum standards I would not want to be exposed to any other of the franchised parks.
I think this was an absolute case of price gouging in a time of peoples misery. If that is indeed your policy I suggest you reexamine it!

If I could give this zero stars, I would. This campground is run by people who have no sense of ethical responsibility. We booked (and paid for) a lake front cottage with a bathroom eight months in advance of our trip. Two weeks before our trip, we received a call from the owner (Rick) telling us that they would not be honoring our reservation because there were construction workers staying in the cottages, and they wanted to extend their stay. They offered to move us into a "cabin", which was not lakefront, did not have separate sleeping accommodations from the main area, had no bathroom, no fridge, etc.. I have a family of four, with two young children - one of which is 2 years old and potty training - and told them this was not going to work. It seems that all of this (including our booking and advance payment) is irrelevant to them, and has now ruined our planned trip. To top it off, we were traveling with another family, and they did the exact same thing to them. I cannot express on how many levels this is disappointing. We will never stay there again, and you would be well-advised never to do business with these people.

So I originally wanted to go to "A Campers World" However after calling the office they informed me that you cannot make reservations there, it was first come first serve. However their sister site Tallahassee East had some availability. It was a little more expensive, but it was similar location. So I quickly checked Campendium to make sure they had internet there and went ahead and booked.

It was $230 for the week, so not terrible ($33 per night) So not as cheap as the last place, but not expensive.

Luckily it wasn't as horrific as I had read! When we pulled up it reminded me of Savannah Oaks, lots of trees, grass and sandy sites. The hookup was a bit odd, the sewage was miles away from the power and electric. But the site was large, we could put the full dog fence out, but I didn't bother as this is not somewhere I would sit outside and relax. In fact we quickly got sick of the sand after 3 days of rain, most of it ended up in our camper!

We were close to the kids playground which meant screaming from 2pm onward every day and all day on the weekends. and the road noise is BAD. I thought the i75 campground was bad as we were right next to the main road. But this is worse and our site is kind of in the middle. So that disappointing. However, they have a lovely dog walk and grassy area (not fenced) for the dogs to explore.

Most of the other trailers here looked full time and run down. The people next to us had plants and junk all around their site. Overall it was fairly empty so I am not sure how there sounded like 1000 screaming children at the playground everyday. The noise of the swings wants to make you rip your ears off.

Overall I wouldn't stay here for a holiday. The pool is open in the summer but it does need a lick of paint. They really have tried hard around the office to spruce it up and the ladies at the desk were friendly and nice. They have laundry service here, and dumpsters where you have to take your own trash. Though one of the washers did break when I inserted some coins. The reception and handyman were quick to rectify the situation.

**No longer a KOA - now a Good Sam's Park** They accommodated me at the last minute, with no reservation. Staff was friendly and helpful. Site was easy to access, level, and all utilities were fine. Close to the Interstate, so there was some road noise, but that's to be expected. Wasn't overwhelming or enough to keep me awake. The only issue I ran into was with a few deep mud puddles in the roads. The weather will do that sometimes, though.

Directly on the Interstate 10 does not make for a good night's sleep, but does allow the convenience of going into Tallahassee. Sue, the campground manager, is greedy and changes prices as she pleases. The posted prices do not reflect a nightly fee, but rather, Sue's interpretation of the math when divided by nights, weeks, or a portion thereof, however she chooses to see fit in that moment. In other words, the prices are not transparent. However, Ms. Sue and her staff doubled down on this fluid price schedule and would not make any refunds.

The photos depict how the camp ground looked at the time of the photo shoot .

The staff are excellent friendly and helpful.
The internet needs to be broad cast over the entire camp ground.
I had a really good time taking the photos of the camp ground
Also my stay at this camp ground was most enjoyable

I have found out that this camp ground is now no longer a KOA
It is now a Good Sam Club camp ground

We stayed here to go to an FSU baseball game. At first I was hesitant because of some of the bad reviews, but I m glad we went. We did have issues with booking in the begining, but a phone call and 10 mins later it was fixed. They have been under new management since December of 2018. It was clean, plenty of space, and a nice walk around the Lake. The staff are some of the nicest people we dealt with. For the people who complain that it s creepy, it is not. You are out in the country and the woods, they probably shouldn t go camping if that freaks them out. We will be returning for future games :)

Just stayed at this campground for 3 nights. The one- room camping cabin was clean and convenient to the restrooms/showers which were also clean. The cost was a very good value also. The only suggestion we have is that the roads inside the campground could use some maintenance and upgrading.

Paid for storage with 50 amp service for the 2013-...

Paid for storage with 50 amp service for the 2013- 2014 Seminole football seasons. After paying in full, the owner called and said they have a limited number of 50 amp services and wanted to move us to a 30 Amp. space. Manufacturer requires 50 Amps.for our RV. We arrived and they set us up on a space E-7... No fire ring, no picnic table, no cable and no WiFi like they advertised. We stayed the labor day weekend at an additional cost of $40.00 per night. Upon leaving, I stopped by the office and left keys to the rig in case of problems while storing, as the next game day is two weeks away. When we got home, 3 hours away, the owner called and said the we were to check out on the 2nd and yet the camper is still here, Please call. I called for the owner and left a message for her that we are storing it. Owner call and the games started.

When we left, we turned A/C to 85 degrees, shut off all water and electric except a/c and refridgerator. Last night 9-9-13 the owner called and said the a/c was not allowed on that only the refridgerator allowed on. Storage is $30.00 per month dry and $90.00 with power. I paid $90.00 with power. They said I needed to pay $390.00 to run a/c.

I am leaving to go elsewhere and getting a full refund.

Place is also run down. Pool is nasty. Not up to KOA standards

Visited the Tallahassee East Campground recently for an overnight stay. The layout was easy to transit with my 27 Airstream. The setting was nature oriented and well kept. The staff was accommodating but respectful of my privacy. The pool was clean and I wish it had been warmer so I could enjoy the water. The bathhouse was clean and provided a great shower. I read a previous negative review and was concerned when I booked my stay. The staff had addresses all the issues by the time I arrived. I will stay at the campground again and can recommend it to my fellow travelers.

The pictures on the KOA website made this campground look decent. However, that was not the case in person. The location is not as easy to access as it appears on the map. There was no signage off of the main road except for an old KOA sign that had been covered up. I had to call and ask if they were indeed a KOA and that we were heading in the right direction. It seems as though they may be transitioning out of being a KOA, but I'm not sure. The sites were a mess: really tall overgrown grass, ants all of the picnic table and site, it made me not even want to sit outside. There are a lot of full-time residents with run down trailers and messy sites. The one positive - the bathrooms were very clean and well-maintained, wish I could say that about the rest of the campground. We will not stay here again.

We were looking for a Good Sam Campground to take our new Camper on her shakedown cruise. I ve passed this campground driving by on I-10 at least a thousand times. So today I decided to stop in and get a spot for next weekend. Now, I don t need alot of bells and whistles to be happy, but this place is atrocious. Not kidding, this place looks like a set from The Walking Dead. So disappointed. What kind of standards does Good Sam use to qualify?

The cabin by the Pond was nice, clean and quiet. The window AC blew cold air. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Monticello as its only about a 5 min drive. The bed though has a thin mattress, like one you would find on a child's bunk bed.

A very convenient stop right off of I-10. We needed to get off of the road for the night. The only complaints I have are: 1. For night check in, the campground map is not updated to show what sites are available and which are taken. 2. There is no lighting at night at all. While I appreciate this in a way, it made it very difficult to park our RV. Other than that, it was a very nice place. We did see a woman driving around in a golf cart with a baby - as stated in another review :)

I would like to state that this campground, and I have been to many, is the cleanest I have seen yet. We arrived and was cheerfully greeted along with some very nice snacks. We used the bathrooms and they were super clean. We were very pleased with the laundry room which we found to be super clean- yet to find one this clean. The number of washers and dryers available was also a surprise. Thank you for the wonderful, cheerful attitude given to us after a very long drive from New Orleans. The store is also adorable with a nice cozy setting. If we come this way again, we will stop for sure.

I was surprised by some of the other ratings, thought a few were unfair. We spent 2 nights there - yes there were some holes in the outer dirt road, and some still had water from the big storm that had recently gone through, so drive around them or over them. The very nice lady told us when we checked in that she hadn't yet checked the sites they normally would put us in because it had been very wet from the storm. She said if we didn't like the site she gave us, we could move, just call her to let her know. We liked the site, but preferred the grassy site - which was now dry. The roads are dirt and a little bumpy, but easily navigated by our 40' motorhome....and several large 5th wheels we saw. Nice site width, many shaded sites. We had no problems dumping, and they do have a dump station. Large laundry, common area and free breakfast. They were in the process of painting the pool. The grounds were clean. We would certainly stay here again.

Our experience with KOAs have been good do I didn't think too much about it when I saw the poor reviews. It is located right off I 10 so I thought it would be convenient since we are returning home after 3 weeks on the road and only planned on staying one night. Thank goodness it was not raining because the roads are all dirt. The campsites are dirt as well and we were placed next to someone who was permanently living there and it was a mess. They had 2 dogs and neither one was one a leash. There was dog feces right where we had to hook up our water hose. The pool was disgusting. I would not recommend this KOA to anyone. Can't wait to leave in the morning.

50 amp breaker didn't work. Water came out of the water pipe like rust. Florida should inspect the water. To many PR's ( Permanent Residents ) let their dogs do their thing without cleaning up after them. When we pulled in dog droppings in our site. Good Sam should be embarrassed to have their name associated with this park. As a coast to coast traveler I will obviously not stop at this park again. This is my first negative review of a campground. $40.00 a night is way to much. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

We stayed at this KOA for two nights, also on our way back home. Although I would say the personnel at the desk was very nice and helpful and the office and recreation room were what you would expect from a KOA, The grounds were Not at all of KOA quality. Many permanents there, making the grounds look very trashy. Dirt roads and dirt sites. No concrete anywhere. Pot holes, and just an all around messy atmosphere. There is so much they could do to class up this campground. But it definitely is not up to the KOA standards at all. I doubt we would stay at this one again.

With a kid in college I'm always looking to save money. Saw the campground with cabins and decided to give it a try. We are a camping family and our overall experience was really good. It's 25 miles from FSU but for the money I'm saving well worth it. Definitely will come back.

I called in and was happy that the lady answered a couple minutes after close. She told me that tent camping was available and I informed her that I was on a motorcycle. What she neglected to mention is that their roads are all washed out and muddy. Additionally, the tent area has not been maintained in quite a while. The tenting are doesn t have any benches, fire pits, and it isn t clearly marked for spaces. I ended up getting my motorcycle stuck in the mud while trying to figure out where I was supposed to go because of the lack of markings or defined areas for each location.

I visited the office in the morning to talk to them about getting some help to get the bike out and the gentleman behind the desk seemed like I was annoying him by asking for help. Because of getting stuck I ended up leaving 3 hours behind schedule.

This is no longer a KOA, and I can see why.

As you can see on the map, interstate 10 is just on the other side of the chain link fence. Typically a campground would have some sort of fence to help deflect the sound. This is not the case for this campground. It was very loud in the tent area.

Plenty of other places to go camping in the area and I wish i had gone to one of them.

I wish I could give it a 0. You can see that they took their KOA official reviews down. We stayed there a few months ago to find bed bugs and absolutely terrible customer service after finding these nasty creatures in our cabin. We were told we would get a check for our bedding as we weren't going to take a chance at bringing them home with us. The worst part was that they took ZERO ownership of the issue and blamed their exterminating company. BE WARNED this place is poorly kept, dirty, unsanitary, and has some very poor customer handling skills.

Very nice campground with very friendly manager in a convenient location along I-10 in Florida. Very nice swimming pool with all areas.nicely kept. They serve Free breakfast. In all my travels across the United States and up and down, I have never seen a Free breakfast before. What a treat. Easy to find, easy off and on Rte I-10. Lots of pull through sites very flat. The night we stayed was our first night of our 3 month long trip. But we're planning a return trip to spend more time exploring Tallahassee and the many parks in Florida as well as the Gulf of Mexico.
