Spacious, clean and quiet room near Udub. A good place to just crash if you need to do business in the University District. Beautiful campus with a pond and tons of trees all around to relax, too.

I found this gem at the last minute. 18 acres of wooded serenity right in the middle of the UW area! It was so peaceful and quiet. I think I could live here! And the full breakfast was a real treat.

I am completely shocked to read good reviews about this place. It is incredibly old and completely not updated, I'm guessing since the day it was built (I can't even begin to describe how awful the room was here). The bed feels like it must be the original from the '60s and the shower head is like a spigot on a water hose. The grounds are nice enough but the "footpaths" are limited and just go in circles or dead ends - I guess you could walk along the drive way with no sidewalk if you wanted. Housekeeping barely even remade the bed and didn't even attempt to tuck the bottom sheet under - just a loose piece of sheet under you and lopsided, loose sheets over you. I would avoid at all costs - I was taken aback and tried to spend as much time away from the hotel after I made the mistake of booking here.

Was really excited about this place. The grounds are beautiful and it's in a good location. Front desk gentleman was nice, but that's all the good I have to say. The rooms were a real let down, definitely not at all as nice as i thought from the pictures and other reviews . The toilet hardly flushed and the sheets felt very starchy or something? The shower was very old and even had a pull cord ,leading us to believe this could have at one point been a nursing home or something. The thermostat allowed you to adjust it but did not actually effect the temperature of the room which was miserable in this heat. The whole place had an old musty smell. Overall not a great experience.

Beautiful grounds! Though the buildings are a bit aged, the meeting spaces and dining areas are beautiful and modern! Great amenities for our all day retreat and delicious food too!

The property is beautiful and has potential. Unfortunately when you walk in your room it has a musky smell. The bathtub had some sort of coating peeling off. The towels didn't smell clean and were thin and old. Not worth the price paid. Tried to check in early due to a family member having a surgery and my not being able to get back until late, but was told I'd have to wait until 4pm. Won't be returning to this location. I'd rather drive a little further and receive some solid customer service around check-ins and a clean room.

Fabulous, hidden gem! This is a very special place and one that should be protected and preserved. Super quiet room, peaceful surroundings, yummy breakfast, caring staff. What's not to love?

Such a peaceful place with beautiful grounds, trees, a pond, and kind and caring staff. I always feel re-energized and calm when I'm there. Even the wild birds seem grateful to have discovered this oasis.

Beautiful architecture, great meeting and breakout spaces in what feels like a rural retreat setting in the heart of Seattle. I've attended several conferences here and the food and service is always high quality.

Old funky rooms, smells of old rotting wood, very musty...bad TV reception, more than half the channels weren't included in the subscription or were fuzzy. What your paying for is the Breakfast arrangement, which a chef comes in and cooks actual food, not microwaveable Eggs and bacon...the grounds are beautiful! Unfortunately, I'm not sleeping next to the pond of ducks or with the Eagles in their nest...was very disappointed after all the beauty of the grounds to then walk into a room that was very run down! Someone needs to prioritize the essential list! Only reason they get business is due to the fact they are the only hotel next to children's hospital! Very overpriced!

This hotel puts effort in the places where it matters the most: great fresh breakfast with lots of healthy low carb options, really comfortable beds and chairs. The centre in on an amazing 18 acre heritage park site right in the University District and close to the Children's hospital.

The night manager is fantastic here, very impressed by him! Other than that, rooms are a bit smaller than expected and louder (infrastructure noise) and the shower temperature is a bit hard to control but those are minor issues. The food was also great.

Beautiful area that feels like the middle of a forest, lots of parking, good catered food but not very clear signs to help direct you to the right building. Friendly and helpful staff to point you in the right direction though.

The campus is extremely nice, with waterworks, wildlife, and audial seclusion. However, the rooms are noticeably lower quality, with peeling paintwork, broken wooden trim, and extremely outdated appliances. The service (especially the friendly night manager Bob) is fantastic. Friendly, with many complimentary amenities. The included breakfast is high-end.

This is a nice place to feel like you are not 8n the city when you stay in Seattle. We have stayed here twuce the staff are amazing and the best service we have ever had. The mattresses need to be updated along with most the rooms. There were cobwebs and spiders in both rooms along with mixing fixtures and dad nats on the ceiling in one of tge outer buildings bathroom.the rooms just need to be updated. There was missing paint and even pour patches on the walls. Just would be nice if the upkeep was better. But you cant beat how grear the staff is

DONT STAY HERE!! This was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. If I could rate it 0 stars I would. The carpet throughout the hotel & rooms is old & full of stains. The air conditioning in the 1st room I was put in didn't work. They then moved me to the only other room available that had a missing top of the toilet tank. When taking a shower, the shower head almost fell off when I tried to adjust it & the sink faucets appeared to be very old & didn't work that well. The hair dryer in the room looked like it was from the '80's. It only blew cold air & then wouldn't shut off. Had to pull plug from wall. All in all a horrible experience & would never stay there again.
