I visited the hotel to attempt the ielts exam at the British council centre located inside the hotel block. There is parking facility offered to the ones taking the test. They can also visit the coffee house.

Awesome place to stay. Had been here for one conference. The hotel ambience, greenery is too good. It has rich variety of different trees. You get the feeling of being in a park rather than a hotel. Also at hotel entrance you are greeted by Turkeys, feels refreshing when you see these creatures enjoying in tiring city life.

A fantastic luxurious hotel set in 20 acres opposite Bangalore's racecourse. Grest hospitality and deliciious cuisine with corporate events that match it's grandness. Some rooms look a bit tired and need renovating to bring it up to standard with some of the other 5* hotels in Bangalore.

Taj Westnd is a five star hotel in Bangalore. The hotel in the center of the city is surrounded by houses of Chief Minister and senior ministers. Next up is the horse gambling. The nearest method is Soudha. The Taj is thus a land of political activity. The meals here are moderately spicy, salty and savory, and taste less mouth-watering. The wealthy class is this. There is no hindrance to expensive money. Often there are many ceremonies such as the wedding of Munnar.

My visit to Blue Ginger at the Taj West End; reviewed extensively for their Vietnamese Cuisine, in all honesty I think the only thing Vietnamese was their chef! It was a sea food lunch which my husband and I opted for and while the steward brought us prawn crackers (complimentary snack) as a refill to the plain chili ones served normally with our beverages, the a la carte menu was not everything it claimed to be. Maybe it was because I haven't been to Vietnam to know any better, but other than the fact that I love lobster the oil err sorry I think that was meant to be red bean sauce gravy was just not good. The grilled white pomfret which was my husband's choice of the day also seemed to be crisp and rich in oil but not in flavour.

While the steward at first, seemed a little stoic; our daughter managed to melt his demeanour a wee bit. Part of the reason, was he was intrigued by our choice of name for her and then there was the matter of us ordering from the a la carte menu like we were millionaires for a day, whatever the reason behind the change in mood it helped lighten the fact that our satisfaction with the cuisine itself was below expectation.

Another downer was when I entered the main lobby area to buy some pastries from their cake shop, which was poorly manned, I prefer to attribute this to the fact that weekend brunchers had swarmed the buffet area and thus the inattentiveness to me as a customer nonetheless. I walked out of the building quite disgruntled at being turned away from a hotel where my Grandmother once served as an employee for a better part of 30 years of her life.

Maybe my expectations soar with the brand, just like everyone else, but then it is the responsibility of the establishment to ensure that this is not just met but constantly reviewed for the right reasons and not just for the food critic who is building your reputation for that one visit!!
