This is a grand and magnificent palace. You will only be able to experience the exterior as most parts of the palace is restricted for hotel and royal family only. The museum is not that Rich in terms of display items. It's mostly potraits and a few weapons. There is a vintage car galley which houses some of the heritage cars and is open for general public. Entry fee is 30 rupees and the entire palace won't take more than 45 minutes to see. There are also some peacocks in the gardens.

Chilled drinking water is available on the way to the car gallery. CleanToilets are also available next to the ice-cream parlour.

The directions shown by Google is .normally to the private entrance for the residing king. You will take about two km drive to reach from other end which is open for public.

Honest feedback, it is a big palace and well maintained, however as a tourist when they charge you entry the tour should be a proper one, you can't be entering from one gate and going out the other in matter of 15 to 20 minutes for a common person. The palace is no doubt beautiful and one can stare and feel its beauty the entire day and not yet get bored. Cars they have on display are also amazing pieces
Really good place for landscape photographers.

Nice place.

Built between 1928 and 1943, the Umaid Bhawan Palace is the world s sixth largest private residence, and is constructed from the same palm court marble that was used in the construction of the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra. Named after Maharaja Umaid Singh, the palace continues to remain the home of the erstwhile royal family of Jodhpur, and is one of the last remaining great palaces of India.
The first sight of the Umaid Bhawan Palace, located at the highest point in Jodhpur. Majestic domes and turrets coupled with the panoramic view of the city and softly undulating sand dunes that merge into the distant horizon. With the vast emptiness of the desert on one side and the famed Blue City on the other, the Umaid Bhawan a living palace, is the enduring legacy of a rich past and a symbol of modern Jodhpur.

Really well maintained. And one of the strong king who hasn't handover anything to government which is really very proud felling.

Built between 1928 and 1943, Umaid Bhawan Palace is a magnificent piece of Rajasthan s heritage, and a symbol of new Jodhpur. Home of the erstwhile Jodhpur royal family and currently the world s sixth-largest private residence, the palace has one thing in common with the iconic Taj Mahal at Agra the palm court marble used in its construction.

Perched on Chittar Hill, the highest point in Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan Palace inspires with exotic views of the historical Blue City, vast sand dunes, and intimidating Mehrangarh Fort. The palace is conveniently located 20 minutes from the airport, close to the main shopping areas, and the Balsamand and Kalyana lakes.

The last of the great palaces of India, the property houses a family museum, as well as the resplendent Umaid Bhawan Palace. Set amidst 26 acres of lush gardens, with dancing peacocks and a subterranean Zodiac Pool, the luxury five-star Taj heritage hotel offers 64 utterly breathtaking Art Deco- style rooms and suites.

Its a display of Royalty. A beautiful construction that is mostly converted to a classy hotel and the balance is a museum. There is a segment that displays vintage cars. One should not miss the grand entrance with the helipad in front. However, the richness of the place was in a cheap contrast to the behavior of the guide who was in a hurry to finish the tour, not adding much value in exchange for the tips that was pocketed before the trip started, by demand.
One of the best hotel in the world. Ranks 3rd among the world's best hotel. Belong to the Taj group of Hotels. It is one of the historic palace turned into a luxury hotel. Many of the famous personalities weeding took place in this hotel. Service is quite luxurious over here...
