The Umaid Bhawan Palace located at the heart of the city Jodhpur. The giant and luxury palace divided into three parts. One part belongs to restaurants, costly indeed; another part belongs to museum and the third part belongs to the ancestral. It is full of beauty and well maintained too.

Umaid Bhawan Palace, located in Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India, is one of the world's largest private residences. this place Named after Maharaja Umaid Singh, grandfather of the present owner Gaj Singh. The palace has 347 rooms and is the principal residence of the former Jodhpur royal family. A part of the palace is a museum and a part of is a hotel. it is managed by Taj Hotels.

This is the best property of heritage in Kota , where you Get a decent crowd but remember don t expect much

I went to the museum. The museum is good and properly maintained but the palace is reserved for people who have prebooked events and celebrities.

Wonderfull place to visit you come closer to feel the real feeling of royal life.

Best museum in jodhpur...one must go to this place for the immense history of king umaid who have done indomitable and amazing work for the people at his time .....vintage cars are also fabulous .

Beautiful palace made in the 1940s. The only accessible part is the museum which is quite a brief experience. Would be nice to see more of the actual building.

It was truly an amazing experience being there. Looking at the riches and splendour of old kings of Jodhpur really was an experience and a half. One of the largest private residences in the world. And a very popular museum. Let us not forget the world famous hotel. All rolled into one give us the Umaid Bhawan Palace.
It was lovely there in the museum. From old weapons to furniture to little trinkets like jewlery and crockery. It was fun and a learning experience. And a reminder to all of us of what we had.

A must visit place. Wonderful beautifully maintained as this is a living Palace of the Present Royal Family of Jodhpur. Artefacts paintings , antiques things like watches , wall clocks, Crystal souvenirs, The Vintage Car Section is all worth visiting. Easily 2 hours can be spent in exploring this place. Better take your own vehicle --- no public transport except auto rickshaw

History is amazing, museum is just two room not very good but building is fantastic

I have not seen this type of huge amount memory store and stories of royal Empire

The amazing place of jodhpur. It's a crown of blue city. The royal culture still gooze bump. You definitely enjoy the trip if u r here. In summer, it's quite pathetic but don't worry u will not be frustrated here.

I just visited the museum n it was fine, saw so many pretty old unique stuff like the small trains,pocket watches,clocks work with the keys,rulers old collection stuffs n so much more.

This is a very nice properties to stay. Staffs are also very helpful. I reduce one point because they didn't had hand shower in washroom.

This review is for the ummed bhavan palace museum which is along side the hotel. Frankly i dont see it as a place any historical important.It is more about the family of raja of jodhpur and his personal stuff. All the itens in this museum are or were his personal day to day utility items like dresses, utensils , paintings and other collection. If you have a spare day in Jodhpur you migjt want to check out this else Mehrangarh palace is better even it has all things of historical importance related to jodhpur and marwar.

The best place to stay in jodhpur city. Amazing services and highest security standards maintained.

Beautiful Palace but most of it is already taken by Taj group and they are running a luxurious 7 star hotel on that...

Nice place to visit...must come if visiting jodhpur

Museum entry fees 30 rupees for all person, not for 5 yrs kids.

A centre hall , and story of raaja gaj singh of jodhpur, their ancient story of his family is shown by picture.

A very small exhibition of portraits and canvas. And good place for memorable photographs and at last old royal cars exhibitions must to see.

And exit.

You can enjoy dine at royal ummed bhawan restaurant too. A 5 star treat and service.

It is a BEAUTIFUL place! The View and the Service is Amazing!! Especially the food is very delicious if i have to think of a minor mistake it is that the food takes a bit much time to come!

Only a portion is opened for public and the rest is act as Taj resort...

Palace is beautiful .but they dont allow to see much.alao the front garden is blocked ..u cant click pic from the front.

The place gives you Royal feel. Its a masterpiece structure build in early 19's. When in Jodhpur do visit umaid bhawan palace.
