Nice place to visit when in Jodhpur. Amazing architecture of the palace. The museum is open for the visitors and displays the rich heritage of Maharaja of Jodhpur. There is also an amazing collection of vintage cars here which is put onto display outside the palace.
Easily accessible by cabs/autos from Jodhpur Railway Station or Bus stand.

Umaid Bhagwan Palace is located in the cantonment area.One have to take cab or auto to reach there.The palace is divided into three parts.One is the residential part of the royal family.One is the Taj hotel and the third part is the museum.We visited the museum but it was not upto my expectation.After visiting Jodhpur palace I found this place less interesting..But the section with antique clock, glasses and car is nice.I expected much more detail but it was overall good..Night view of Umaid bhawan from the roof top restaurants is beautiful.

The cleanliness is the first thing we should talk about. Brilliantly maintained! The whole area is eye catching. Inside of the palace is really very beautiful. We have all the artefacts of old times,times of the kings, displayed beautifully. There are various spots where you can click your pictures with beautiful backgrounds.

This place can give you the best experience of the royal feelings you crave for. The grandeur and magnificience of the place is awesome. Half of the palace is made into a hotel while some part of it is made into a meuseum where there is a room or "darbar" where you can smell the scent of the hotel just besides it. The museum walls are the real walls of the palace so you can actually enjoy the environment there if you are fond of royal things and such environment. At night it looks even better but you'll have to go there by 5 pm to enjoy the night view. This experience is really fascinating. Give it a try once if you are in Jodhpur.

Though palace is really beautiful but you can't see the beauty as 90% of area is restricted and only museum area is opened for tourists. I dun think it's worth eating your previous time to visit the meuseum. You can ignore it if you have tight travel plan.

A magnificent and majestic palace that is visible from far away. On top of a hill. It's not a typical palace that's leaves a mark of the Indian royalties, as the architect was from Europe. Just a part of the palace is open for the visitors, however if one has money they can taste the royal living in this Morden palace. A must visit when in town and do check the museum for bit of information on the making of the palace.

Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace is the last royal palace built before the Independence of India. Its foundations were laid in 1929 and completed in 1943. Four years after the palace s completion, the country became a free sovereignty. Independent India had no royal kingdoms, only their lavish homes remained. Maharaja Gaj Singh, the descendant of Maharaja Umaid Singh still resides here.
Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace is spread over 26 acres of lush grounds including 15 acres of well-kept lush gardens. The royal residence has 347 rooms, an exquisite throne chamber, an exclusive private meeting hall, a Durbar Hall to meet the public, a vaulted banquet hall, private dining halls, a ball room, a library, an indoor swimming pool and spa, a billiards room, four tennis courts, two unique marble squash courts and long passages. The gardens of the beautiful property have peacocks freely roaming around. Views of Mehrangarh Fort and other attractions of Jodhpur can also be seen.

Its a display of Royalty. A beautiful construction that is mostly converted to a classy hotel and the balance is a museum. There is a segment that displays vintage cars. One should not miss the grand entrance with the helipad in front. However, the richness of the place was in a cheap contrast to the behavior of the guide who was in a hurry to finish the tour, not adding much value in exchange for the tips that was pocketed before the trip started, by demand.
