The charges for seeing the palace and museum from inside are so high that it sounds like palace management is robbing us

Everything was excellent except the attitude of some of thr staff. When you visit such a beautiful place and you're equipped with a good camera, you're bound to click some pictures but some staff demanded extra money and that too Rs. 50,000
That was something I found absurdly stupid as they're already one of the most expensive hotels

Wat should write about this historical place...very well know maid Bhawani built in 1944.. Very nicely kept..heritage place..one should visit to see this place.. Nice collection of heritage cars we can see.. Close from city..overall very good experience..

not so good to visit very limited area open for visitors

Umaid bhawan palace is a must see if you are visiting Jodhpur. It's a very beautiful palace and displays the effort and time put by people i making all the intricate designs

The very small part of the palace along with few vintage cars display is open for common visitors with entry fees of 30.. other major part is hotel which is offcorse inaccessible.. better to invest time in visiting some other palace ..

Nothing great to see here kind of museum can complete site seeing in around 1 hr

Royalty that cannot be explained, only experienced!

Rating from the eyes of a visitor to the museum in Umaid Bhawan palace. Only a small part of the palace is dedicated to the museum. I did not find it interesting.

A royal palace. The other part of the palace is a hotel now a days.The museum and the palace main view is tourist spot only. Maharajas all types of things are present in museum. Specially differnt types of ancient watches of that time in varies design amd some types of royal cars is present.

Wonderful Palace. awesome Museum. Some Great vintage Cars For Show(free). Cafeteria is available. Busy Place.

Only museum is open for public visits. Staying arrangements requirements can be fulfilled.

Umaid Bhavan Palace is one of the world's largest private residences. The
palace is divided into three functional parts - The residence of the Royal Family,
A luxury Taj Palace Hotel, and a Museum focusing on the history of the Jodhpur
Royal Family. The museum has exhibits of glass, porcelain wares, memorabilia,
and information on the building of the palace, an impressive collection of clocks
throughout different periods of history. A part of the museum has elegant murals,
miniature paintings, armors and a rare collection of expensive household
paraphernalia of 1930s.
Also don't forget to observe a stunning vintage car collection of the Maharajas
opposite the museum

Royal splendour inspiration for designers and decorators.
Entry is not well sign posted by the city council and google maps which take you to some other non functioning tourist entrance.

Well maintained complex with good clean toilets. Small canteen serves pot noodles and kulfi ,cold drinks at the entrance.

The car collection is remarkable but the A/V tour is of very poor quality. That needs to be improved. Rest all is indeed best among the rest.

3) A Museum focusing on the 20th-century history of the Jodhpur Royal Family.

It's being a very impressive feelings after Visiting the same, One can feel the heritage and its pride and honour lived by the Royals in past and the same is still continued by the Hotel managed by Taj. Must see place if you Visit Jodhpur.

I visited the gallery and museum. If you love the rich royal Rajasthan then it's your place. Good collection of vintage cars. Although I didn't stay in the hotel rooms but definitely royal touch can be seen in every corner of the hotel. The inside souvenir shop lacks good items though.

Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur is a marvel built by Maharaja Umaid Singh of Rathore Dynasty. The youngest palace of India is an architectural splendor, marvelous heritage hotel of Jodhpur and a true royal experience. Built on sprawling grounds of 26 acres, the royal residence is perched high above the Blue City of Rajasthan. Only 4 kilometers from the Jodhpur Airport and 5 kilometers from the Jodhpur Railway Station, the royal home is a magnificent crown of the desert city. Also known as Chittar Palace, interesting stories are hidden in the premises of the golden-yellow monument. Amazing experience

Not much open for the public, not much to see for a tourist.

Part of the umed Bhawan place houses the Jodhpur state museum. The museum depicts traditional culture of jodhpur state and its weaponry. On the front of the palace there is a displays of vintage cars of different timings starting from 1901-02.
Major portion of the palace houses a Five star hotel provide maharaja comforts can hold state event & marriage events.

Beautiful palace of Jodhpur. It is also housing the present Maharaja and his family. Some part is also converted to one of the most costliest hotel.

Amazing palace but the women sitting in the entrance was rude to tourist. I visited the place yesterday and the staff is awful.

We were treated like royalty .... Thought we were king and queen.... They left no Stone unturned in looking after us and especially since it was my husband's birthday !!!<br/>We will go back when we want to be pampered.

Grossly over rated and very well marketed place. It is Shahrukh Khan of tourist industry - limited contents, marketed aggressively.

The Auto will charge you around 100-150 Rs from main Jodhpur city. The palace is situated far away from the main city in the army cantt area and one the posch colonies of Jodhpur. Inside the palace it will take you around 30-40 minutes because only some part of palace is open for general public rest for the hotel and private use of the royal family. Only 2 places are open for the general public , one is museum and other is vintage car collection of the royal family.

Loved the dedication of emperor to build an airstation which has been shown clearly in this palace.

Its an average place to visit unless you are fond of knowing how old maharajas used to live. Basically it's a museum of things related to maharajas.

Well maintained palace till now.The Royal family of Jodhpur used to live here..well preserved articles and things used by the royal family s displayed here..It is like a Museum now..The local caretaker acts as guide...u can see a good collection of vehicles here.. spread over a large area and at an height..it is good place to visit with family and friends..

The best thing about this palace is the surroundings of this palace is good must visit it attracts tourist to visit this place .priyanka n nick jonas got married at this place.

The paintings by some guy from some other country were nice, rest everything is quite a dump.

This is the world largest private residence total of 347 rooms...afterwards they converted this palace into hotel..now a days it is managed by Taj Hotels...rooms rates per day vary from 70000 to 700000 depends upon category of rooms..for general public you can see from outside..and small place for museum...and old cars collection owned at the time of Maharaja ... beautiful place and you will just love it...
