Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi Review

It was a pleasant experience. Staff was courteous. You are greeted by a soulful sound of traditional flute played by skilled artists which is wonderful. We used the chambers for our business meetings. The place provides the right atmosphere for the same.

Awesome place and hospitality is also worth appreciation.

Wonderful place, luxuriously maintained and well managed parking.

Great service for the cost of paying. There is a sense of satisfaction that can be obtained by staying.

A 5 star heritage property well managed by Taj group located in the Heart of New Delhi.

The hotel offers a unique blend of classic Indian architecture and modern facilities.

There are multiple remenescents of Taj Mahal like use of white marble, indian style rugs/carpets and classic wall artifacts which take you back in time and let you experience the real Indian hospitality.

Of all the 5 star hotels in India, Taj is the best chain of premium hotels. Taj Mahal palace is a palace hotel. The best thing about it is food. The Biryani is one of the best I've ever had till date.

Wonderful service, awesome ambience and nice food..Lunch buffet needs more options for vegetarians..

Always wonder why the Govt wants to take this hotel away from the Taj group!

It is situated at a good location, but basic things need a lot of attention. Disposal facilities should be paid attention to, as the guests were confused where to put off plates after completing their food. Rest everything was as Royal as it could be.

This is wonderful..we had a lunch here. Hotel is so royal and big. courteous staff ! Good American Menu ! :)

Needs an cosmetic upgrade & needs to work on its prices too considering that it's in Lucknow.

The Taj Mahal hotel at the Man singh road is awesome in every way - the ambience, the food , the staff , the rooms : five stars to all of them. I loved the Chinese food at the house of Ming . The staff is very polite and helpful.

Luxury has its own definition. Mesmerizing ambiance, excellent staff and unique food and beverages in-lets.

Obviously it is among most luxurious hotels out there, I went there once and experienced that spotting celebs is common sight there (I was sitting next to the table of gautam gambhir) but as I was having food, of course it was not the same we local delhietes enjoy, but as per the preferences of tourists. Rooms, lobby and everything is state of the art design, service is impeccable.

Their coffee lounge near lobby and executive lounge roof top are my fav places.

Beautiful place in a beautiful location. Been there for two days loved the property. Being a five star property food was costly . Staff was very polite and cooperative. Loved the morning breakfast part .

Old time favorite. Though 2 lively restaurants - Casa Madeci and Long Champs have been converted into pretty average banquet halls which is disappointing. Machan remains good. I guess Taj is waiting for the auction before they invest any more money as they might even lose the property!

This review is not about the stay but to those who are reading it must learn about the harsh reality of this property , Taj Mansingh Hotel/ Taj Mahal Hotel.
We placed a query of a Sagan event for 70 pax and my fience and her brother went for the first time to have a look at the property and they met this lady , Ms Madhavi Acharya , catering sales executive. The first meeting was fine and hence both the families decided to visit the event place for final discussions.

Just to let you know, that I am from east Delhi and my fience is from Gurugram both of which are considerably far from hotel property... We had scheduled a prior appointment with Ms.Madhavi but when we were on our mid - way , she calls my fience and says that she can just give only 15 mins to us or we shall rush immediately although when we were on our scheduled time.

Once when we reached hotel , there was no one for approx 20 mins or so to guide us anything and then she comes to us , doesn t even bother to greet any one of us and starts detailing us about booking the venue immediately with token or else it will be booked.
There is so much of apathy in her conversation that no one would ever be pleased to even listen to a lady like her ..
Her obnoxiousness doesn t ends here , during all her conversations , she didn t even ask us to sit once and trying to just command her conversation , not even bothered to listen to our concerns even for once...
The worst happened , when I was trying to share my concern and she abruptly stopped and said LET ME SPEAK FIRST AND EXPLAIN , that was such an embarrassment for me in front of my bride s family and my own .. I was just shunned that very moment because I couldn t even say anything in the presence of families that are soon going to tie knot for lifetime .

I also belong from a marketing and sales background and have almost 12 years of experience and meet several people everyday but employees like these are truly a disgrace to a hotel carrying a legacy of more than 50 years ..

Ms Madhavi acharya even showed in her short conversation that how important are bureaucrats, politicians and there functions are to them then for a common men .. Or someone who is paying them a sum of more than 10 lakhs or more than 200 pax whichever is more ..
When asked about higher rates of GST ie more than 28% and food tasting before the event , she doesn t have a better answer than this that , when no 5 star hotels were charging any taxes or vat , we were charging highest even than as per our hotel policy and no food tasting policy and you need to pay for the selected event food if in case , you need to taste the same ..

It is really excruciating for me to write something like this but I have uttermost respect for Mr Ratan Tata and i heard it everywhere that once an employee of Taj always remains an employee just like our Government institutions..
It totally seems that such people are taking there jobs for granted ..

This should not happen to a common man looking to create memories with a 5 star property like Taj Mahal Hotel who are in the notion that these hotels would provide best in class services , courtesy and uttermost respect to us and our guests .. But it s a whole different scenario...
