Always delicious and Phil is the best server in Rutland. Hands down
Chef Steve is a great chef. The food is amazing. We had fondue appetizer. I had the chicken sheppard's pie and a side of grilled asparagus. All so yummy. The asparagus was perfect
Dinner and service was terrible Saturday... Did the chef leave?
We have enjoyed Table 24 on numerous evenings and recommended to friends. Last Saturday was terrible. Made a 5:15 reservation for Saturday January 25 via Opentable to sure we would get in with our first time guests hoping to share our past good experiences.
We arrived on time. The place was empty. The hostess escorted us to a table in the front room over looking the VFW hall. She refused a request to relocate claiming everything was booked. Really? There is no way to request a table in Opentable when you make a reservation. We should have headed out then.
The appetizers were disappointing. My wife and I ordered the tuna. The waitress assured us it would be 'safe' to order since it was early in the evening and it would be cooked perfectly. It arrived as a nasty grey piece of over seasoned fish that was not edible and should have been tossed in Thursday's garbage. The waitress knew it when it was served but waited for us to send it back. Our guest's dinners and our replacement dinners were very mediocre at best. The 'manager' came by to let us know they knew they had a issue and would remove the tuna from the menu. Why would it be an option in the first place? Why would a real chef, sous chef or expediter allow this to leave the kitchen? Answer.. new line cook.
Our waitress decided to completely ignore us after the issue. No water refills.. Waited for 5 minutes for silverware after a hamburger that was dropped as a replacement meal with out comment from a runner. Another 5 minute wait to get some ketchup before I could eat my now cold greasy hamburger. We will never be back. Get it together Chef/Owner Stephen Sawyer.
Food was a 4, golden beets were great
Waitress was wonderful!!! When we went the one helping ug but she was awesome ..everyone else seem to enjoy their food ..
We found this place after a lot of searching for vegetarian or vegan food , this is a cozy restaurant in a quite little town of Rutland which has some beautiful murals . Our waiter who assisted was very thoughtful and customized a mushroom risotto in vegan for us which was very flavorful, the quantity as in the picture is very apt for the price with its unique decor this place is worth for an evening dinner . The staff is really good
You must go here if you are in Rutland, no questions asked. Everyone was perfect, no complaints. Our server was awesome and had a pretty sweet accent too. The food was delicious, and the prices were amazing for the quality of our experience. There is plenty on the menu for anyone to choose from, I will definitely be coming back to Table 24, when I'm in town again.
Always something new to try. I had not been here in a year and it was as good as ever. Phil handled everything I could possibly want. After an 8 hour car ride, I needed suggestions. I had the specials last night, the pan seared pork belly served with the tiniest of onions and a wonderful jam. The pairing was perfect. I went on to the blacked Mahi mahi, and at Phil's suggestion again, substituted the brussel sprouts. A crisp cut edge, but still moist and nice to cut into. The Mahi had a generous portion of two and was prepared exactly as it should be. Topped it off with one of their numerous draft choices. Also worth noting the facility is ADA friendly, ramped with wide doors and aisles. I was offered seating in the bar, which was very accommodating to my service dog and respectful in every way. We couldn't have had a better meal on a Sunday night in Rutland VT.
awful caesar salad. you could get a better one at a gas station.
Got a couple burgers to go. Pretty good. Nothing mind blowing. And we were starving too.
Excellent meal at Table 24. Phil is a fine server. Great martini!
Enjoyed the entire Table 24 experience. Comfortable atmosphere, good service and delicious food.
1st impressions are everything. Walked in, sat at the bar, warmly greeted. Ordered a glass of vino, tender brought me a basket of just cooked potatoe chips. Awesome start.
Great food and good service! The cornbread was amazing :) very satisfied with everything here as a whole. I'd definitely recommend to go.
We went out for dinner. Handmade ravioli, awesome and cheese macaroni with lobster, very good as well. A bit more lobster in it would have been perfect because you pay far more than 20 bugs for it...
My friends and I agree, best place to eat in Rutland!!
A bit pricey, particularly the drinks, but great atmosphere, very good selection of dishes made with quality ingredients, and a stellar team of waitstaff. Oh, and most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious. Start off with the jerk chicken fondue- you will not regret it!
The place was almost empty, but it took almost ten minutes to seat us. 25 minutes later, after others had been seated and served, we hadn't been waited on. We - 3 ladies in our 60's- left. We will not be back here...ever.
Had a great time. Our server Chloe was excellent. Friendly, professional and fun. She didn't push us. Gave us our time. Had a burger which was cooked to temp and juicy. Very good. Friend had fish tacos. Looked very good said were great. Cheesecake was awesome.
First I want to say I am giving the hostess a 5! With that being said, it went all downhill from there! We were seated, waited a fairly long time for the waiter to come back to take our order, watched a table of 6, who came in 25 minutes after we did, receive their orders and still we had nothing. I snagged another waitstaff and asked that it be checked and to also ask if a person in my party could at least get the salad ordered. The food arrives, this person ordered a cheeseburger w/o the bun and a side Ceasar, expecting of course that they would have already had the salad...surely it wouldn't come out with the hot food...and this very pricey burger wasn't any bigger than the palm of a toddler! My Mushroom Risotto was way overdone (IMO), and cold! On a bright note our third companion loved the BLT. I am being critical because this is not the first time, it's the 4th, in just the past couple of months, and because I know it can do so much better. I come back to Vermont often, and have previously had some really great food experiences in this restaurant! Come back come back wherever you are!
We have a group n ordered the famous corn bread, it was nice. Then only offered one but I ordered two. Waitress said we are lucky that I called and reserved! I ordered two n confirmed a night before. It is a shame. Then I ordered the jambulaya, it was microwave half done, the interior was still room temperature warm only. I place two stars because the rest of thef were fine. If there is other choice, go. I believe the chef left for the day when we arrived at 7. That was why all the food were reheat
Cool spot for a date. He's a pleasant exposed wood and wine scent
Excellent food at fair prices. One of the Nicer restaurants in the area. The menu has plenty of options for all taste buds. I highly recommend the fondue as and appetizer.
Great food, excellent service but their iced tea is awful.
By far my favorite restaurant in all of Rutland. I have never eaten anywhere else and don't intend to.
Found this place on Open Table for visiting while heading to Killington from Philadelphia. Pleasantly surprised as everything from the food to the waitress to the beer selection was top notch. A little bit pricey but hard to complain because of how good the food, especially the ribs and prime rib were. Would visit again.
My first time here and I had the chicken salad sandwich I loved it the service was awesome. Everyone was so polite
The food is fresh and delicious! Cocktails are fabulous, and the service was great both times we visited!
This is hands down the best place to eat in Rutland, VT and maybe even in all of Southern, VT. I eat here regularly and the Bomo Burger with Chevre (goat cheese) and bacon jam is one of the best burgers I've had in my life. Go here NOW, you owe it to yourself!!
Good and friendly service. The cornbread was particularly good and we all enjoyed our meals. Overall a good place to go once in a while.
Food was lacking waitress disappeared after our initial drinks. Price was ok maybe a little high for the quality.
Absolutely incredible! I ordered the brisket with a side of cornbread and corn on the cob. My mom ordered the mobo Burger and she absolutely loved it. She said it was the best burger she's ever had and I even had a bite so I can vouch for that statement! The cornbread is also great substitute for dessert if you don't have room to have much more after your meal. The server Phil was super charismatic and incredible! Too bad we don't live closer, but next time I find myself in Vermont I'll definitely stop by
Some of the best food I've had in a while. We got the steak and the pork and both were stunning. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area!
Very upscale yet casual atmosphere. Food was amazing. The jerk chicken gouda fondue was absolutely superb. Both my wife and I completely loved our entrees as well. Sever Vicki was phenomenal and super attentive.
We will definitely visit again if we are in town.
We had an excellent lunch at Table 24. A good menu, good wine and reasonable prices
It's the best place in Rutland! The food is amazing, the staff is friendly and the cocktails are unique!
The food was delicious and well priced for 4 people our bill was under 100! Everyone had something different and no one had a complaint. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing food, great atmosphere and awesomely friendly and attentive staff.
Best Restaurant in Rutland. Quality of food is excellent since day one. Menu has been improved. Nice atmosphere. Well served $$
The food was delicious with a menu so much great tasty food that it really needs more than a single dining event
Very nice food, good prices, out of the way and extremely friendly staff.
Mushroom risotto was amazing.. the smoked mushrooms set the dish off. I had the chicken rotisserie sandwich which I was not expecting to be anything stellar. Chicken was some of the best tasting and moist that I have had. The arugala and cheese complimented the sandwich very well, and the complimentary bar chips were tasty. The Second Fiddle hadn't been tapped correctly and was pouring all foam, which was a bit of a disappointment, but the other beers on tap were fine. Worth stopping in for a dinner!
Good food, good beer, good atmosphere. The steaks are huge for the price!!
Great food, great service.made for a very enjoyable evening.
Dropped in for dinner. They have complimentary burnt chips which was a nice change to the usual rolls you find. Started off with the caesar salad. The dressing was very tasty, seem to have a dijon taste to it. For the main course I had the Table 24 filet with garlic mashed and a side of asparagus. The potato's were perfect and the filet cooked to a perfect medium rare. The asparagus was some of best I ever had. Full of flavor, grilled over wood so you get a nice infused flavor and firm. Want to say it was a hickory. Finished off dinner with a chocolate mousse which was very rich and a perfect ending. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Will definitely return.
Both the food and service was great! We decided to visit twice during our three day stay in Rutland, VT
Very good experience, food tasted good and the place is nice.
Stuffed chicken is a frozen premade gfs meal. Mac and cheese was great. Veggie lasagna is not the best. Service was great!
Miserable experience last night at table 24. I understand the problems with staffing during Covid but it was just absolutely terrible. We didn't see a waitress for 20 minutes and then the hostess came and waited on us. After that we got our drinks and ordered appetizers. The appetizers showed up after the dinners. Then we were informed as the appetizers came out that they were out of something we had ordered for an app. We had 6 people and 3 dinners showed up then the appetizers and then our other two salads. Asked for sides of Brussels sprouts that never came out. Asked for an extra side of dressing and then just watched the waitress work behind the bar and ended up asking the hostess to get us the extra side. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food tasted good. Will attend the other restaurants in Rutland where service is the number 1 priority
Great food and great service. Certainly be back again.
Great little spot. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The burger I had was very tasty and they served it with Brussels sprouts mixed with bacon!
Delicious food. Service was really friendly and genuine but we waited about 10-15 minutes after sitting down. (Granted it was busy time and end of restaurant week)
We have been coming here for years and will continue to so.
The lunch menu needs more variety but, other than that, this is, hands down, our favorite place for special occassions.
Good food. Nice service. Impressive decor, wine bottle walls
Awful, 2 weeks ago. Ordered oven roasted cod and it was not "roasted" enough-the fish was grey..should be white when done. Sent back and 10 mins later the dish came back with the fish in the same position and still grey. Fellow diners at my table noticed the fish in the same position (even tiny flakes were still there). Carrie (waitress) did not ck back. When she saw I didn't eat the fish she said she'd take it off my bill. Bills came and mine was $9.00 and she watched me put a $20 bill in the folder and had the nerve to ask me if I wanted change.
Fantastic night out at Table 24! The dinning room is clean, the staff is friendly and attentive, and most importantly, the food is delicious. Will definitely be back!
Went a cold Saturday night. Place was crowded but not too loud. Our waiter was attentive and prompt. Order the corn bread, you won't be disappointed. I ordered the burger an coleslaw which were both fantastic. I was too full for dessert but maybe I will try that next time.
Very good local restaurant. Lots of menu options and drinks. The signature roasted chicken was great
Didn't have certain drinks and items on the menu. Waitress was pleasant but not super accommodating. Should have gone to Southside.
The food and drinks are always top notch at Table 24. We are obsessed with those pulled pork nachos in particular, but honestly everything is so good. Check out their taco Tuesday special, with a surprisingly amazing taco plate for a small Vermont restaurant! Ask for Phil when you go in he s our favorite.
Nice restaurant. We ate at the bar because it was very busy, and both the service and the food were great! A bit expensive, but worth it.
Fantastic EVERYTHING - just need a few menu changes from time to time. One of the best restaurants in the area though! Try the chocolate chip cookie desert.
Terrific dinner and staff! Our waiter was great and the food was delicious.
It was a funny experience because I asked them to cook the meat more than the way it was initially served, and they brought it back exactly the same hoping I was drunk enough not to notice they didn't roast it extra. But on the other hand cocktails are good.
Great service. Excellent soup and macaroni and cheese. Banana cream pie enough for 2!
Food and service is always excellent. Comfortable atmosphere. Good beer selection.
