Dinner and service was terrible Saturday... Did the chef leave?

We have enjoyed Table 24 on numerous evenings and recommended to friends. Last Saturday was terrible. Made a 5:15 reservation for Saturday January 25 via Opentable to sure we would get in with our first time guests hoping to share our past good experiences.

We arrived on time. The place was empty. The hostess escorted us to a table in the front room over looking the VFW hall. She refused a request to relocate claiming everything was booked. Really? There is no way to request a table in Opentable when you make a reservation. We should have headed out then.

The appetizers were disappointing. My wife and I ordered the tuna. The waitress assured us it would be 'safe' to order since it was early in the evening and it would be cooked perfectly. It arrived as a nasty grey piece of over seasoned fish that was not edible and should have been tossed in Thursday's garbage. The waitress knew it when it was served but waited for us to send it back. Our guest's dinners and our replacement dinners were very mediocre at best. The 'manager' came by to let us know they knew they had a issue and would remove the tuna from the menu. Why would it be an option in the first place? Why would a real chef, sous chef or expediter allow this to leave the kitchen? Answer.. new line cook.

Our waitress decided to completely ignore us after the issue. No water refills.. Waited for 5 minutes for silverware after a hamburger that was dropped as a replacement meal with out comment from a runner. Another 5 minute wait to get some ketchup before I could eat my now cold greasy hamburger. We will never be back. Get it together Chef/Owner Stephen Sawyer.
