The day I went it was very crowded. But the produce was very good

Roasted corn with butter and frozen custard served with fresh fruit are tasty treats available here

The soft serve chocolate is deliciously evil, but at least l offset it by a 50+ mile Tow Path Canal trail round trip. Love this place, can't beat the .99 cents slushy too.

Dog friendly and a fun experience in the middle of the valley parks.

Great variety of veggies and some baked goods... Lots of pumpkins and squash.
Call before you go if you want corn. They re picking the last field of the season this week.

Best corn in the world. Everything else way over priced

Szalay's has many good attributes. I love the food booths, and for the most part the produce is good. I'm not sure where all that produce comes from but sometimes what I've gotten has been worse than what I find at the grocery. I also knocked off a star because they don't take credit cards. Not everyone carries cash these days. And yes, they have an atm onsite but then I'm charged a fee to use it. No thanks.

7/26/18 Update - Last Saturday I missed my local farmer's market and came here to give it another try. The tomatoes were cold - as in fresh out refrigeration cold. What a waste! Tomatoes lose flavor and texture when they are refrigerated. I will no longer shop here. And I still don't know where all of their produce is coming from but it doesn't appear to be local.

How could you not love fresh vegetables and fruit! Very large many varieties very good

We love this place. We come every year and it's always such a blast!

Amazing farmer s market store. We biked here from Boston Mill along the Cuyahoga river and enjoyed a fantastic strudel and fresh juice. All employees were wearing masks and enforcing mask wearing. Only downside is they only take cash but have an atm on-site.

Nice place, plenty of fruits and veggies... Very fresh. A little pricey but beats going to the supermarket when there's none around.

We just love Szalays for fresh produce. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Fall is our favorite time of year and the market is full of great pumpkins. Access to the Cuyahoga Valley Trail is awesome. Dogs are allowed!

Had a great time! Corn maze and hay ride with my son. Afterwards we went to the shop. It was crazy busy but they did an awesome job of keeping the lines moving pretty fast.

AMAZING!!! The corn is delicious and buttery and the ice cream is TERRIFIC.

They were sanitizing the carts as people brought them back. Everybody was wearing masks. Social distancing being observed. Fantastic produce. Smiling people.

Set in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Sadly, most of the produce doesn't seem to be locally grown, at least not until later in the summer. Comparable to your average grocery store quality. Nothing super outstanding, but they do have live music and a few food stalls seeking prepared masks. But be sure to bring cash! No cards accepted, and many times the cash machine on site is out of order.

My family and I love this place!
It has amazing food, live music, farmers market with fresh food and locally grown products. Nice people and a lots of animals to pet and love on. They have the best tasting soft serve icecream with fresh fruit. Rosted corn and amazing pork loin sandwiches and other tasty foods and they don't charge you arm and a leg for it like some other places. We love to sit in Amish made family size swing tables and rockers.

Always enjoy Szalays. Fresh produce, excellent corn and music on the weekends. The drive is also great through the Cuyahoga Valley Metropark system.

This place is so popular that you may have to park half a mile away in order to visit. Food is inexpensive with hot dogs and hamburgers your main protein source plus roasted corn on the cob in season. Indoors is a fruit and vegetable market to fill all your needs. pumpkin time fills up the parking area

Lots of great food! The only caveat is that they are cash only. I just don't carry cash anymore! They do have an atm on site though. But...I think they would do better if they accepted credit cards.

Things that are overpriced but really good quality. The weekend stalled have awesome food but again are overpriced. It's nice to go on the bike trail and then stop by here to grab something to eat.

Awesome family farm. Best sweet corn I ever had, literally comes from the field to the farm store! Other great Ohio grown produce for sale at the farm store. Weekends at the store are very busy. Enjoy fresh grilled corn, grilled all beef hot dogs, hamburger, turkey burgers and pork loin sandwiches. Top off your lunch with a frozen custard or fresh fruit sundae, all while enjoying live musical entertainment. Great place to take the kids!!

We went to Szalay's on a Sunday and everyone was there. It was super crowded and it was hard to shop. However- with that being said, all of the produce I did purchase has been great. It was slightly overpriced, but tastes great. Also, NO CREDIT CARDS. They do have an atm, but keep in mind when you visit it is cash and check only. I do recommend getting their sweet corn from the food stand- it was great! Their lemonade was good- not too sweet. Will be back.

Cute little place to stop at when hiking or biking the old canal tow path.

I've lived here for 43 years all my life lol. And had never been here. I loved it, we will be going back often!

Amazing fresh produce market in a beautiful setting!

Went today for the first time for the corn maze. Checked over the website and everything before I went. I took two two year olds with me which were supposed to get into for free. When I walked up to the cashier she couldn't greet me, acted like I was a problem from asking her if this is where you pay for the maze and then I tell her the boys are two and she goes that doesn't even matter 18$ so I handed her the money. Didn't say have a good day have fun nothing. Walked all the way across the street with the boys just to read the sign saying three and under free. So walked all the way back across the street and went to another lady, thinking maybe the cashier didn't know so I explained what happen and that lady could of cared less and said very snotty she can't help me at all. So already very fusterated walked up to the cashier and told her what the sign said and she very snotty again said oh well I don't know when that changed but we used to charge for everyone and handed me my money and once again couldn't give a proper goodbye or anything. I'll never go there again.

Great place for pumpkins and hay rides and a corn maze and all sorts of produce. Great for all your fall needs.

Great open air market. There corn, growing on sight, is so sweet and delicious. From fresh fruits of all kinds to rows and rows of pumpkins in fall, there's something for everyone. They also have a corn maze and hayrides for the kids

Right by the scenic railroad and towpath, great prices and friendly staff

Farmers market with lots of fresh veggies and fruit, some real good cookies and bakery too. Large selection of every veggie u could want. Bought just picked beans, eggplant, squash and a bunch of stuff. Prices were good, except corn a little high priced per ear. In fall tons of pumpkin and a corn maze too.

Cozy with nice outdoor seating area. They have huge wooden porch swings which are fun for everyone. I was disappointed that most of the produce doesn't actually come from their own farms. The only other thing is the restroom is on a few minutes walk away from the market. A small inconvenience but notable.

1st time there...great produce and pies. Take cash, they do not take credit cards...only negative. And I would spend more on CC!

Extremely packed, and they didn t enforce wearing masks. They don t accept card either. Parking was awful, and it was unorganized with no direction as to what customers should do. Seemed like no one there cared that a pandemic is going on.

Awesome place to visit on Saturdays! Has live music and they grill out. Best corn in the area.

Wonderful place to get out to on a fine Autumn day and pick up a pumpkin. The fresh food is fantastic, best corn ever. The music is good. Corn maze for the kids, fresh produce and the prices are decent. Only drawback is the lack of parking but there's not much that can be done about that, just be mindful when parking on the side of the road.

This is the best place for fresh produce. Make sure you bring cash though. They don't take credit cards.

Fun place to visit with friends. Found a nice array of pumpkins for different prices. Music and food were great. Something for everyone.

World's best corn! I bring back loads of it when I travel here from Chicago.

One of my favorite places to come when visiting Ohio. The sweet corn is to die for. Nothing beats fresh roasted corn. They have other prepared foods, fresh vegetables, fruits, and preserves. Great place to bring the family. We sometimes park in Peninsula and ride the bikes down the trail. Of course if you do that, make sure you have a way to get the stuff back to the car :)

Sad to say that there were several shoppers in the store this morning not wearing masks !

Great selection of produce, friendly people, but too bad the organization cannot move into the 21st century. If you don't have cash or check - don't stop here. Look, the Salem witch trials were long ago, stop living in that time. You've got a location in a part of Summit county where the majority of people are most likely going to have cards. And the "we have an ATM outside" is a reminder that you'd still rather watch the banks get paid, than take the money yourself.

Wonderful fresh corn, during the season, and other fresh veggies. A great place to take visitors. They provide entertainment on select weekends. Visit their food booths for ice cream, hot corn on the cob and whatever else they feature. Buy lots of corn, cook and freeze it for the winter months. A must visit.

Great variety of fall vegetables- pumpkins of all sizes. $6 corn maze was fun. Burgers and dogs if you're hungry, with fruit sundae for dessert. Very busy-had to park in the corn field.

Very fun place...sweet corn to eat while you shop for fresh produce. There was even a musical duo.

A very happening place and very busy. Got a lot of great veggies, apple cider and gourds. Good time.

Such a fun destination with alot of fresh produce, freshly baked bakery type offerings, roasted corn on the cob, sundaes with fresh strawberries. It was crowded - no surprise since it was Sunday- but the lines move quickly. There was live entertainment and a corn maze, too! All the employees were friendly & helpful, too. Even with the crowds and people having to wait for parking (or people to leave spots) everyone was smiling, having a good time! Warning -- cash only!!

The corn was not the best this year. Some corn was really tough. We like the smaller kernals light yellow and white. Not a good year!

Absolutely love coming here! I've been coming out since I was a kid and haven't been out in a few years because we moved out of state. While visiting this summer we were able to come check our three market again and loved everything we bought!

Our family loves Szalay's! The roasted corn is always fantastic, especially dipped in butter. The market always has top quality produce as well.

Great place. Please go in weekend Saturday and Sunday to eating sweet corn and ice cream.
