First time there in several years and had a really good time. We were with friends and it was great to rediscover Szalay's. The food was delicious and the live music just made for a terrific afternoon.

Adorable farmer s market with fresh produce, baked goods, salsas, etc. Concession-type snacks sold on weekends. We enjoyed our stop here while visiting Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
Corn is the best around. Such a cute place. We love to go here. I was very disappointed by the corn maze. It s listed as a family friendly event but the Halloween decorations terrified my two young children into not sleeping for days. The decor inside the maze is not appropriate for young children. Will not be going back to the maze again.
Szaley's Farm is a wonderful place. We tend to go there every fall for pumpkins, gourds and corn. They have lots of pies, breads, jams, jellies, fruit and lots of other vegetables. They have three food carts for burgers, hot dogs, sausages, roasted sweet corn (delicious), hot apple cider (delicious), lemonade and ice cream. They have a corn maze and a barn that has fun stuff inside. This is a cash only place. They do have an ATM but you might be better off going to the bank beforehand. I look forward to going back.
Bring a backpack if you're riding the canal, cause you'll want to stop here!!
Stopped in while biking the canal, just to see what they had. Gosh are we happy we did, it doesn't get much better than this. Fresh corn, apples of all varieties, plenty of veggie choices, homemade breads etc., and my personal favorite, tomatoes! Usually, I'm leery of most tomatoes because many are hothouse grown and not worth eating. However, these babies were PERFECT. Beautifully red, great flavor, and huge! Had several awesome BLTs thanks to Szalay's and we're going back before leaving town to stock up. YUMMY!
Hay ride good. Ice cream too soft and melted very quickly all over me. Humiliated myself for the entertainment of the children around me. 10/10, will be back soon.
Delicious corn. I love coming here in the fall for their corn maize and the music they have on the weekends. It's right on the Towpath Trail so you can treat yourself to some healthy treats at the farmers market before, during, or after your walk.
They only accept cash. Which is ridiculous, it's 2020. They have card readers that plug into a cellphone. I understand there is a small fee for using card but with all the business they get that shouldn't be an issue. Tried to go buy some produce and had to leave without purchasing anything, the line for the atm was 12 people long.
A great place to shop for fresh produce and more. I would go back and even pay to listen to the two gentlemen with outstanding voices singing Motown and other favorites. A must place to go.
Warm and friendly place to go even if you just want to get out for a walk, the market has just about what you would expect from a out door market and much more.Go see for yourself.
Americana preserved! Szalays is a family friendly farm stand with outstanding selection of fresh produce and unique items hard to find elsewhere. Located right next to the towpath, you can get here by car, bike, or on foot. Fun in the spring and summer but a pilgrimage in the fall for the wisest selection pumpkins you ll find anywhere. Also they have a huge corn maze in October.
Absolutely love this place. Live entertainment awesome food, and the best roasted corn on the cob around. After we get our fill of the outside we head in for some amazing produce.
Nice way to spend an afternoon. Corn on the grill was worth the 15 minute line. Only negative was the lack of ample seating space. Being a disabled Viet Nam veteran has it's limitations. Still worth a trip on a sunny day.
Quality produce, mums and more for a reasonable price. It's also a great atmosphere and the people are very friendly and helpful. I will make the trip back for sure. It's worth the Drive.
What an awesome place. Went there on a beautiful fall day....came home with SO MUCH....apples, pumpkins, homemade jelly and peanut butter.....There was live music and food. Will plan a visit to go back for sure!
Great farmer's market with some awesome produce. In the fall there is a small corn maze (the path is covered with star, a nice touch) and a kiddy haunted barn, as well as a huge selection of pumpkins and gourds. Best avoided on Saturdays, when there are far more visitors than the parking and site can really handle. Also note they are cash-only, but there is an ATM on site.
We ride our bikes down the Towpath often and we stop in here often to have corn and ice cream. The corn is fresh and they shuck it for you and dip it in butter. The ice cream comes topped with fresh fruit. They have a corn maze off to the side in the fall. Inside the store they have tons of fresh fruit, Breads and all kinds of great foods you like. I would go for the pretzel bread!
The corn is really the attraction here as it is grown in the nearby fields. However, they offer many different types of fruits and vegetables for sale.
Wonderful locally sourced and grown produce, baked goods, and more. Szalay's is the best place to by corn in the Akron area. In the fall, they put together family-friendly activities and it really gets everyone into the spirit of the season. It's a common stop for those biking on the Towpath trail.
