I have been coming here regularly since I moved to Ohio 16 years ago.
I loved this place, but I think the younger generation has made it too touristy and it isn't the really cool farmers market it once was.
I always got a kick seeing Grandma Szalay and she would give the best tips to try.
I do miss her.

Love Szalay's farm market, wish they could be open year round, nothing compares to their produce, especially their corn, we come as often as we can when their corn is in season, we usually buy a dozen ears, just so we can eat, and freeze the rest, so good in the late fall, and winter, and spring!

A hidden gem. I had no idea this place existed until our family went for a bike ride on the towpath...then out of nowhere, a produce market...with food stands...live music...more pumpkins than I've ever seen! Wow. What a COOL place.

Beautiful market set away from it all in the middle of the valley. Everything you'd expect to buy on a farm as well as maple syrup, fresh cider, ice cream, corn mazes in season, and an all around unique atmosphere.

Exceptional community resource for largely local fresh produce, fruit, bread, and sundry other items. They would have gotten 5 stars had they entered the 21st century and accepted debit and credit cards. There's an ATM on site, which can be unreliable. Bring whatever cash you think you're going to spend, be patient with the enormous crowds on the weekends, and have fun.

Szalays is a cool outdoor/open indoor air market. It's a fun experience. They sell there own homegrown corn here throughout the season. Don't be fooled though, not everything sold here in the realm of product is local or homegrown. It only appears that way. There are many local items sold here but not everything, they just repackage it to appear as if it's local.

Best sweet corn around, not to mention all the other fresh produce. They have hotdog, corn on the cob, and ice cream stands. And, live entertainment at least on Sundays... I'm not sure about other days.

Wow! An entire market built around corn... and it works! Come on a Saturday and get some fresh roasted corn dipped in butter. Browse through the fresh market and pick up some local goods to bring back home. Enjoy the swings and listen to some music. I will be back for the corn maze in the fall.

Great family friendly market with lots of fresh, local produce, specialty canned foods/condiments and other great items. In the summer, we love to order their ice cream with fresh fruits piled on top and sit outside in one of the many picnic type areas. There is often live music, as well. In Autumn, you can't find a bigger and better selection of all sorts and types of pumpkins and gourds.

hidden gem that I found in Cleveland. Their corn is the best you can find in the US. Last year, my church sold corns to raise fund and the taste of corns were superb. I wanted to find corns that taste as good as what my church sold and somehow corns from Walmart and Costco weren't as taste as good as that. Finally, I found a corn I like and this was the best corn taste I've every had in my life! I love Ohio and thanks to hard working farmers. One down side is they don't accept credit card.

Szalay's is a great place to stop and reward yourself partway through a ride/walk/run on the Towpath Trail. They have a wide variety of fruit and treats. They have little cubes of caramels by the register that are delicious. There's a decent amount of seating outside, with unique rocking tables. Also plenty of room to sit in the grass if those happen to be full.

Szalay's farm has always been one of my favorite summer/fall spots since I was young. They have AMAZING food and ice cream sundaes with fresh fruit. They also have the cutest photo ops with pumpkins in the fall! Definitely recommend.

Lack of social distancing and masks by many customers inside the building, even though the facility was packed. Lots of obese and old customers, who are more susceptible to COVID. Shame on Szalay's for not enforcing the COVID guidelines.

I love Szalays! A wonderful stop for refreshment when bicycling on the tow path. The workers are all so kind and the atmosphere is always such a happy place. Their roasted corn is delish and their lemonade is so refreshing.

Would give it 5 stars if they accepted credit/debit. We've been going there for many years and still, cash only. It's always a well run place with a great selection of pumpkins, veggies, and Fall fare, but man, I can't imagine that in 2020 it's very hard to accept cards. The banks will give the card readers out for free and accept payments through an app, I'm sure. I understand that a cash-only business probably takes a few shortcuts here and there with their accounting practices, but is that amount much more than the 1% fee the banks would charge, given the massive increase in spending and convenience for their customers? I don't know. What I do know, though, is that every year our trip to Szalay's is preceded by a trip to the ATM.
