Great food. Very busy! Lots of GF and Vegan options. Coffee wasn't the best I've had.

Amazing food options, with great choice of healthier alternatives. I took my two little girls there for a treat. Unfortunately on more than one occasion staff used profanity that left my daughters and I with a negative experience. Food amazing, staff professionalism low

Went here on a quick last minute decision, started with a late and iced mocca both of which were delicious. We also ordered food which when it arrived looked even better than the photos we looked at (my partner and I both had the grilled haloumi dish) not only was it filling but also delicious. Despite it being busy we were served our meals quickly! Many thanks team!! Awesome service, and delicious food and drinks! We'll be back! :)

The staff are always friendly.

Their table resavation system is very clever as they will reserve tables and the sign will tell you until what time you can sit at a reserved table till, rather than just shutting it. It's great if you are wanting to grab a quick sit down coffee in an other wise busy cafe.

Very small cafe that makes amazing food. Sometimes I feel they get a little bit rushed and the customer service can fall off but that is probably due to the fact the place is extremely popular and always full.

One of our favourite local spots when we get a chance to go out. Was pretty busy when we went last time but service was still pretty quick. Food is always good and staff polite and efficient. Had the chicken salad and it was delicious. Space is a bit small so if you have a pram it might be better left outside.

Highly recommend this cafe, ordered the works breakfast, huge portion worth the wait & money would definitely come back here again.

We really enjoyed our meal here. The place was packed in a weekday lunch which surprised us! So I'd recommend you call and book ahead.
We had the sausage roll (great!), Savoury muffin (ok), and the rhubarb butterscotch cake (fantastic!). Definitely give the cakes a go!

I have been coming to Sweet Vanilla for two years and every time I'm in, I am always STILL so taken back and in orr of the options for easily some of the best food I have tasted! The options are endless and that's just the food on display. On top of that the menu is seriously tasty and the baking is out of this world.

My kids absolutely love coming here, the toy box is full to the max for them and they are always excited about what special muffin they will get (after the tasty savory first of course). Not to mention their fluffys.

The popularity of Sweet Vanilla means it can get busy fast, but the staff work non stop off their feet to serve you the best they can. It is a cute intimate setting and you are able to book tables which helps. On two separate occasions I even witnessed quite rude customers and watched them handle the situation with composure and professionalism.

My coffee is consistently perfect and I love the incentive for a better environment, rewarding people with cheaper coffee if they have their own cups. Plus free coffees every five!

Overall my review is an overdue one and prompted today by yet another new tasty addition to the food cabinet AND once again awesome service by the incredibly hard working staff. Topped off with my perfect coffee from their awesome barista!

Absolutely stunning cafe with amazing food and friendly service. Excellent range of gluten free options, we've taken coeliac friends and family here countless times and they love it. Can be a bit of a wait during peak times, but that's a sign of a good establishment. Really love the rhubarb butterscotch cake!

Fantastic coffee, cakes and delicious cooked food! I was surprised by the very reasonable portion sizes compared to Wellington City equivalents. Sweet Vanilla is now my go-to for coffee and treats.

Great large portioned, tasty counter food that includes large cakes and cookies. Generous sized servings of ordered food. Fresh interesting salads. This cafe is small and is frequently full for brunch and lunch. It would pay to call and see if they take bookings. Parking can be tricky.

What a sweet little cafe with great choice of food. No trouble to find a car park outside. The delicious ginger and pear cake had a little too much butterscotch sauce for my taste and my friend's order was mixed with another diner but More

Wonderful friendly staff, best coffee and delicious food!

Can't deny the food is good, however the hygine is absolutely appalling... I have seen greasy lips prints on the cups, dirty spoons and forks. Truly shocking hygine... shame to have good food yet the hygine is disgusting.

Very disappointed with my experience. Went with my son and ordered cake and coffee, only to have it unceremoniously dumped in front of us in a plastic container and take-away cup. We went there to have a nice relaxing cup of coffee, not to be made to feel as though we were in the way of them closing up and weren't worth dirtying dishes for. We weren't told they would be closing soon or asked if it was okay to give us our order this way (and it wasn't). We weren't the only ones in the cafe at the time to be given their order this way. Very rude and I won't be back.

Food is very good. Homemade not from a packet. Beautiful cakes,scones,muffins,biscuits and slices.

Lovely little cafe, very busy. Expect a wait for coffee and food.

Coffee review only: I would give it zero stars if I could.
They use revive beans which are average, but the coffee was tragic, budget instant tastes better.

Burnt extraction, burnt milk, dark roast and the "barista" butchered it.

Got a mocha as well, it appears they just put pure cocoa in the milk and froth it with a whisk then microwave it.

Do not go here for coffee.

The milk isn't even good enough for a fluffy let alone a cuppucino. Over 2cm of terrible froth on top.

I get some people have a bad day, but this isn't good enough to be served to a dog.

The food was amazing! Their homemade tomato sauce concoction was awesome! I won't even talk about their beautiful cakes, scones, and biscuits but they look phenomenal!

Awesome staff, the smashed avocado meal was delicious (for real), they have gluten free options, gave me extra cream for my Vienna at no extra cost, and the gf chocolate hazelnut brownie is AWESOME!!!

OM goodness the food is so delicious with lots of gluten free options. One wee downside is Sweet Vanilla is too small. Love going there anyways!
