A fantastic cafe with awesome food made on site. They do great coffee too.
Do try the sticky date and orange cake with butterscotch syrup. It goes wonderfully with a flat white coffee made with coconut milk.
Staff are very friendly and can help in deciding on the huge range of tasty treats to eat.

Always great grub here. Last time special service when we accidentally messed up a double order - partly our own fault, partly theirs. The food was replaced with the preferred item and pleasantly enough. Thanks Sweet V!

Great little spot serving excellent food and coffee; not sure why it took me so long to discover Sweet Vanilla Kitchen - perhaps it's the name which suggests sweet dishes/deserts primarily (which is not the case at all). Highly recommended breakfast/brunch/lunch spot, and one of the few in Hutt central.

food was ok and the place had a nice atmosphere as well options for vegans, keto friendly and gluten free food but the coffee was poor. not burnt but had lots of foam and very stiff milk, did get soy milk which may have some affect but would not reccomend for coffee
It can be busy, worth it though. Quite a little treat, great food, worth a stop if you're in the area.
Best Long Black I have tasted! It took them a while to serve our food because it was really busy. I have no issues with it though. Have to come back soon.

Food here is always fantastic, great value, and the staff are always warm. The only problem is the cakes... There are too many to choose from that no matter what cake you get, and how delicious it is, you'll leave wishing you'd tried another.
I love it here, the food can take a while but it's usually worth the wait. There's an awesome assortment of counter food if you are on in a hurry, it's great value for money and even good to take home as well. The corn fritters are the best!

Perfect wee cafe. Parking can be an issue during weekdays lunch time, but always a preferred cafe.
Ideal place for people with a sweet tooth like my husband. A bit crowded and service can be faster.

Lots of gluten free and all yummy. Struggle to find a table at times due to them being so popular.
Great food and treats. Kids meal options were also a great price and my 1 tr old loved it. The only down side was the service from one girl was very underwhelming.

Excellent coffee! Best range of cabinet food with several healthy and tasty options. Plenty of sweet treats too. Staff are efficient and caring. Great to have options to sit outside and yet have sun protection under the umbrellas. One of my favourite cafes by far.

The food is to die for. It is a cafe but the chef must be super clever because the cakes she bakes are unusual and delicious. It is the first time I've been there but the rhubarb and butterscotch cake was wonderful.
Great coffee, great cakes, great service..just not enough seating sometimes - proof of their popularity..:) happy to go back anytime again.

Usually long waiting time. Nice place with good food. Definitely good portion sizes! Only item I wouldn't recommend so far are the blue Berry pancakes which were insanely sweet - covered in sugar and for some reason with an orange flavour theme.

Cosy cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Service it's very good, good quality food, large servings. Some unique combinations of cabinet for such as parsnip cake, or salted caramel and beetroot.
