Great sushi and japanese/korean fare at a reasonab...
Great sushi and japanese/korean fare at a reasonable price. The seafood okonomiyaki was awesome. A bit of a wait during peak hours, but service was extremely fast.

Staff are attentive and fast! Food is absolutely delicious
It's good but no way it's as good as all the reviews. It's a nice restaurant but it's probably busier more for its Broadmoor location (and easy parking) than its food. The cooked food is solid, but I have never had a really good roll there. They always seem to fall apart rather easily.
Food and atmosphere are great. This place gets super-packed, but the fast delivery and pacing make for a reasonable wait.
The best sushi place in Richmond! I wish they are more kids friendly.
Sushi Gami is an excellent place if you are looking for good portion sizes, cheap prices, excellent flavour and wonderful service. Dine in or take out, this is an excellent restaurant.
Good food at reasonable prices - part of the reasons why this place is packed all the time! You can always order takeout and get 10% off.
Friendly staff and creative rolls that taste good. There is a bit of wait but it is worth it!
Upon entering, you have to write your name on the board to be on the wait list.
All items are recently priced for the quantity.
A great neighborhood sushi restaurant, good location, good parking, good food and decent prices
One of the best sushi places in Richmond for a moderately priced meal. There is usually a wait during dinner time, but the food comes quickly which makes up for it. Their sashimi is fresh and there is a good selection of special rolls and hot food available.
Excellent place for take out! Good sushi for good value. The fish and rice isn t ice cold like some other places. They have some combos with soup and salad that are a pretty good deal. There is an easy online ordering system too.
We go there pretty much every weeks! We love this place! Very good sushis! Service is quick and staff is friendly!
Great food! Cheap and fresh, the taste service is super good,
Gami sushi has great food and great service. Yes, sometimes it has long lines, but many people hail it as the top sushi place in Richmond. Gami is always willing to make changes to their dishes to support low carb or keto diets, and will allow up to two substitutions per meal. I love this place :)
Very fresh and delicious sushi with excellent service!
Great food - especially the sushi and sashimi & great value. Super service too. We are regulars and they remember what we like and need (allergies).
Portions are fairly big and taste is pretty decent. The chicken wing karage was nice and crispy. Would go again for quick late sushi meal.
Amazing service, emaculate presentation and flavorful food. You may be asking' then why only 4 stars? That is because is it always so busy there. It's just too small.
Their rolls are to die for! So many unique choices & the prices are good too. Servers are always courteous as well. Expect to line up to eat here because everybody loves Gami!
We found a tiny small warm in the salmon.
We complained them but they just told us it s normal.
We had to throw up after we came home.
Plus, they are not authentic Japanese, run by Korean.
My favorite Korean sushi place in Richmond. Very consistent.
Great sushi, terrible service. The food is thrown on your table with no warning or eye contact. The sushi is very good though, can't say anything bad about the food, but the service has been consistently terrible for a long time. Perhaps some days you get a nice waitress, but every time I stay in the restaurant I regret not getting take out.
Great menu and good quality Sushi. Be prepared for a short wait to get a table during peak hours.
This place is always packed. Need to show up at 5pm to get a seat. Food is great for the price.
it's an ooookay place. line up was crazy so we thought definitely it'll be a good place for sushi...but just didn't find it to be tasty. the rolls weren't done nicely, 2 had no filling, and one had hair. bill came to $68 for the two of us and we didn't order beverages, just had their house tea. service was ok. had to ask twice for soya sauce. not worth the drive, the wait or the money.
Really yummy. I just wish the salesperson would respect social distancing.
Food and service is always great here. I would avoid going around 6:30 if you don't want to wait.
Nabeyaki is highly recommended, waiting time is long tho so make sure you either call ahead to book or be prepared to wait during dinner time.
There is always a line up because the sushi is so good and affordable! They are also really quick, extremely nice, and efficient. I have never had anything but an excellent experience here.
One of the top sushi places in Richmond...Check it out for sure!!!
Not sure what the hype is all about Gami Sushi. Went in for dinner and it was very busy (but expected from the other reviews). I was seated fairly quickly as I was a table for two. The staff were nice and the food came quick. The sushi was indeed fresh but a bit bland side. I also ordered Takoyaki which was very very disappointing. The sushi quality is definitely good.
Beautiful place with nice decor. I was pleased with the polite service. Thank you :)
Blazing fast service and delicious food (though less authentic) at an affordable price point.
Rolls don't fall apart and are actually portioned equally! Ingredients are very fresh the Yam tempura pieces are the largest I've ever seen! Price is comparable to most sushi places but the quality is unbeatable.
Love it. Almost don't want to give a review of gami to lure more people in. It gets really busy at times. Waitresses always very efficient. Food is very good. Price is very reasonable.
Great sushi!! I d give it 5 stars if they weren t so cheap with the nigiri fish portions. 20g tuna and 10g wild salmon... come on!
The poison department is delicious and delicious. I like to eat fried shrimp and udon and sashimi.
Amazing and friendly staff. Great food at a competitive price. A lot of value for your money. The amount of both dine-in and take-out orders they do daily speaks volumes to just how good they are!
Popular sushi joint. Food is decent. Reasonably priced. Dining room is pretty packed most days but not too bad. Better to take out.
Went here two times and both times two different waitresses were rude upfront, the second bigger one scoffed at me for asking for a table and just walked away without a word before seating us. Weird experience, rude waitresses, food was good though.
They always busy, packed and dont take reservation. Their prices are cheap, but their portions and food quality are different every time I visited. I like their black dragon roll, scallop nirgiri sushi, salmon belly nirgiri sushi, spicy pork gyoza, uni, tobiko with quail egg and hamachi nirgiri sushi. But I dont like their oyster motoyaki (they put little bit of chopped oysters with a lot of butter spinach), prawns tempura batter was too thick, deep fried unagi got too much bones inside, snow dragon roll was tasteless. I never try their noodles/ rice/ soup. 2 of us always eat a lot, which compare to another table of customers, always over $100 for 2 of us.
Decent sushi for a reasonable prices. Almost always a wait. They don't take reservation. 10% off take out is a big plus.
Great tasting sushi, good value on the Benton box lunches.
The tempuras are great! Extremely fresh, light and crispy. We went right when it opened for lunch and it was packed half an hour later. Ingredients for the cones were fresh but the technique could be better. Staff were friendly. Would recommend it if you are in the neighborhood.
They have an excellent selection of "specialty rolls" and have aburi sushi here (the flame seared stuff) if you're into that, which I am. We went later on a Saturday evening (near closing) and it was still packed (which is a good sign); its worth the wait though.
Daunted by the selection, we asked one of the servers for a recommendation and he singled out the "Oh Gami roll" without hesitation. It was a winner. The flavor was on point with the majority of the special rolls/aburi we ordered and everything looked so "well presented/photogenic" (makes it that much more enjoyable/appetizing). The yakisoba comes in a hot plate for added effect. I enjoyed the food here.
Service was fast/friendly/efficient, no complaints here. Price is very reasonable for the quality.
Excelent Sushi in Richmond! Gets very busy and it's not a big restaurant so be prepared to wait a bit at dinner time. Tip: write your name and number of people in your party on the white boars at the entrance as soon as you get there.
Telus wifi available
Cute sushi spot, rustic interior with decent seating space, lots of parking
There are a number of booths for parties larger than 4
Ordered: salmon sashimi, red dynamite roll, spicy salmon roll, red roll
Food is tasty and fair priced
Nice place. Pleasant atmosphere and delicious dishes. Thank you for such good service!
They are fast and efficient. Food quality is always good. It is mother's day today and the takeout order volume is insane .
Finally ttheyve realized their floors is slippery. now they have a sign at the door to be cautious and added the rubbery floor mat from the entrance and all the way to the washroom.
The sushi party platters are decent and cheap. The nigiri is great too.
Used to be the best but has progressively gone downhill. Tonight I found a hair in my salmon roll and the gomae was less than half of a normal portion. Used to go here several times per week. Not anymore.
Tastes good. A little different than traditional Japanese restaurant.
Food and service is good. I like the service here during the crisis we're in Gami did a great job.
The wait here can be quite long but it s completely worth it! The sushi here is delicious and the service is so speedy. A definite must try
Korean sushi restaurant with decent serving sizes and prices. There are vegetarian options for those who are looking for it.
Quick in and out for takeout or sit down place for sushi. Good variety of rolls and fresh sashimi available. The menu also has daily specials featuring seasonal items to try. It is often very busy and likely will have a wait around lunch and dinner regardless of the day of the week. Would probably try to come early to beat the rush or else the wait can be long. Overall, prices are reasonable and even offers 10% off for takeouts over $20.
Probably most solid sushi in Richmond right now , took the crown from mega sushi in Steveston
Good sushi. Can be a wait for a table and they don t have their menu online. There are a few pictures of the menu in the pictures.
Very good sushi. Reasonably priced, well executed, efficient and professional staff. Way to go
Other than barely a closet space for a wait area, this place is awesome. Food is good, servers are friendly and the prices are quite reasonable.
Salmon roll was rolled up perfectly but the salmon
Inside is like sticking on the top and bottom but great food delicious the staffs only speaks Japanese to their co-workers I am fine with it just cause sushi is made from Japan or Tokyo. What really stings me the most is the waiting have to wait for 45 minute or 35 I get their busy and other ones I visited was 1 hour great service never forgets your food
Korean style Japanese food, the dishes come very fast, so it is like a fast food korean style japanese restaurant
Food was pretty decent and the staff are attentive. It's always so busy.
Korean run sushi resturants. Busy all the time. I suggest order take out and get 10% off your order. Food is decent if you dont care about the presentation.
