I really like the sushi here. Creative rolls, decent service. Quick turnover of tables is nice. Good reasons this place stays busy

I ordered some sushi and yakisoba but the yakisoba was really bad. They packed up yakisoba on the top which is heaviest one and it spilled everywhere.

Fast-paced Korean style Japanese food that does not really hold up the quality I would have liked for traditional sushi. They are always busy and very efficient so this may be a by-product of just how successful they have become, but unfortunately traditional sushi lovers may be left wanting. The fish felt frozen and the variety lacked in their chirashi. If one is to go here perhaps stick with fusion rolls and or cooked foods.

Service is impressive based on how busy they are! They had smiled even though one could see the burden of orders and restaurant guests.

They have a very impressive 10% off takeout option which is what I would stick to if one wants to eat here.

The sushi is really good. We usually go for take out as there is a discount. But, sometimes, it can be a little bit of a wait.

Absolutely delicious. A korean style Japanese restaurant with super dishes! My faves include the Alaska roll, spicy salmon sashimi, beef teriyaki. One of the few restaurants with kids combos and bentos.

Not as strong as it used to be but still a solid sushi place

Got very sick 2 hours after eating here on September 28, 2017. Ate 2 spicy tuna rolls & a sunny roll. Missed the following day of work along with my day off saturday, majority of the days running to the toilet. Seen my doctor today, he put me on penicillin and confirmed I have food poisoning. Do not eat here!

Food is DELICIOUS! There is always a wait to get seated but well worth it everytime. Staff are attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Parking spaces are wide in the town, but
Due to its popularity, weighting is a must.
Even if you go early in the evening, there is weight.
It is a popular place.
The sushi is very delicious and the roll is very good.
The lobster roll was very delicious.
Udon noodles are plain udon noodles, and shrimp tempura is very good.
Crunchy and very delicious.

The servers are also friendly and don't have to wait around really often.

Come here for takeout. Dine in is hit or miss but they do fantastic takeout with quick turnaround time. Have never had a problem and get a discount for doing take out! Lots of parking.

My girlfriend and I are regulars at this restaurant both for dine in and take out. They are always very fast and accurate, and the food is delicious at a low price. We ordered take out tonight, but the server forgot one of our bags. I didn't notice until I got home, I was just about to call them but they called me first and they confirmed that they forgot a bag and were very apologetic. I work in the restaurant industry so I understand that stuff like this happens, but I didn't expect this level of service. She offered to have it delivered to me all the way in Ladner because she had just gotten off her shift. Unreal. Just further reinforces why we love the place

Always busy, always friendly staff, always great. Good location with ample parking, tables and booths, beer and sake. Yum!

Fresh fresh fresh sashimi and the service was so efficient and yet not rushed. There is a bit of a wait for a table but well worth it!

This place is absolutely awesome! Although do expect a lineup, or book a table in advance cause they are packed with people. They have wide variety of japanese food. I got the Spider Roll and it was great.

Crowded around dinner time but that's because the foods excellent... Friendly staff as well... But if you Dont want to wait I suggest calling ahead for pick up...

Standard Korean Sushi joint. Ambiance was nice, waitresses were friendly but like others have said inpersonal. I didn't hate the experience but I wasn't impressed either.

Personally, I just didn't find the Hot Popcorn Gami Roll and Special Lunch Bento box worth the price. Might be back to try other things if it's convenient.

Fantastic sushi, quick service, and great atmosphere. If you want to go for dinner be sure to get there before 5:30, as it lines up quickly. Thankfully they turn over tables quickly.

This sushi restaurant in downtown Vancouver tastes good and ramen is better.

Great sushi! Super fresh and the variety is great on the menu. They're kid friendly too with plastic cups, plates and cutlery. The place is small though. It would be fantastic if they could get a bigger space as it can get quite busy and the tables are tight.

Two consecutive nights take out sushi for dinner. The quality was good! Definitely will do take out again

Great sushi place!!! One of my favorites in Richmond. They have many special rolls and creative dishes. I love their oh gami roll, big bang roll, and fire volcano roll (this one is deep fried) sushi pizza is pretty good too, worth trying!!
There's usually line up during dinner hours, but you can always book a reservation!
Service is okay, the staff is usually too busy to actually greet you.
But overall a great place to go for sushi!

Reservations not accepted after 5:30pm.
First come first serve via a white board at the entrance.
Expect a 20min+ wait on a weekend.

Mediocre sushi. I am not sure why it was so packed. The aburi sushi was good and certainly looked good but it was pricey for what it was. Certain party platters was decent value in terms of being filling for the price.

The lackluster food was compensated by the friendly and efficient staff. However, it was disappointing to find several dried rice morsels on our chopsticks as we were about to dig into our meal.

Overall, I would not recommend this place and do not plan to return. The food was okay. But for what it is, there are just better options out there.

My party consisted of 5 .. the food was fantastic .. the food was very much worth the wait .. waitresses were attentive and very polite .. would recommend GAMMI SUSHI

THE BEST SUSHI IN RICHMOND....bar none. Don't let the line up fool you. It goes quick and when you order the food it comes out so fast that its unbelievable. Also there take out is super fast. You won't regret this place!

The sushi combine is not bad. But it seems like the food is not as tasty as before. It was way better a year ago.

Did not expect to find such an awesome sushi restaurant in such a small location. It was busy, even on a Tuesday! Will be back when I m in the area.

The taste is very good, the price is very affordable, it is the best sushi I have ever eaten in Vancouver, I have to queue up every time I go, and the service ecology is also very good.

The sushi is very good here. We got the popcorn attack roll and super lobster which we couldn't finish.

Great food and great service. The sashimi was very fresh and the rolls were delicious. They also served the food very quickly. We had to wait a bit but they let you put your name and number down.

Love this place! Has a great atmosphere and decor, service was good, food was ready very fast, and it's absolutely delicious. It's a little bit more expensive than some places but nothing unreasonable and definitely worth it!

Most amazing sushi in Richmond. Very long lines but be patient because its worth it! Even the take out is beautiful and delicious. Try the ebi mayo appetizer and the hot bomb roll ( not too spicy)

Disappointing. For the price and being in Vancouver, I was extremely disappointed with the food. I've had Japanese all around Vancouver and Victoria and have had much better quality of food and service in some of the cheaper Japanese dives. I would not recommend or ever consider going back.

I m surprised of the good ratings, the servers were kind but the woman at the counter was so rude !!! Like one of the rudest people I ve ever seen, are customers genuinely okay with her attitude or are they going for the good prices. Left very angry.

We ordered Ebi Mayo, Assorted Sushi Combo and Red Dragon Roll at Gami. Food was good, fresh and inexpensive, but the rolls were not firm enough to hold their shape. Anyways, we love to dine here.

Cozy atmosphere. Food quality is amazing. Line up can get quite long during lunch and dinner hours but it is worth the wait.

Greeting the middle and upper foods, the middle of the food, the middle price, the meal speed is very fast, but the department is generally too tempered to wait too much. I feel satisfied with the parking space. It will be too much trouble.

This is one of the better sushi places in Richmond. A reviewer has mentioned that stone bowls are too hot here, however, having eaten a lot of authentic Japanese food, the stone bowls are supposed to be hot. Also, the sushi is always fresh, flavorful and well presented. Good value as well.

Very Friendly people, excellent food, fast service, only issue is the place is very small and cannot easily accommodate large groups. Also sometimes it really gets super busy at around 6-7 pm

This place never disappoints. Best Japanese food in Richmond and great service every time.
