The food here is really good. Always very fresh and delicious. Restaurant looks pretty clean and food comes to you relatively quick. Service is mediocre to poor. It's almost as if nobody knows how to smile here. Not a very quiet atmosphere and it can get very busy during dinnertime. Really really good food though.
This is one of those places that you can drive by located in a strip mall and not realize it's there unless recommended by friends..a local favorite...lots to choose from on the menu from a simple cucumber roll to their specialty rolls.. sashimi...everything is decent...prices are very reasonable and portions are adequate....I make reservations as the place is not big and can get busy fast..kids friendly depending where you sit....ask for a booth if you have kids...lots of parking. A local gem
Definitely one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Van so far. It's in Richmond where I live now and my GF and I eat here at least once a week. It has a great, cozy ambiance and all the staff are very friendly. They all even remember things we both like and are quick to bring us out extra Sirracha for when we order their vegan hot plate. Also, their prices are VERY reasonable and the quality for what you actually pay is amazing. I personally think they do an amazing job for how easy on the pocketbook it is which is one reason my girl and I love this place. Would recommend it to anyone who loves sushi and enjoys a day/night out amongst people. Just be aware that if you get there during peak hours expect a small wait. Even if you're a few spots down on the wait list they are quick to get you in without feeling rushed and I personally feel it's a good thing when a place is busy! Two thumbs up from me.
The food was good and the decor equally so. Pricing was fair across the menu. Something just put me off about the service, however. All the servers seemed to be on auto-pilot. Nothing personal about the service at all. I didn't need to be entertained, but I totally felt like just another customer. They give you your dish quickly, and walk away just as fast.

This is the best overall sushi restaurant I ve had in Richmond. I drive out to Richmond only once in a while, but I ll likely make a point of stopping by here on my way home.

It s clean there. The decor is very nice. Love the heavy teapot. They serve things really fast and fresh. The waitresses all work really hard, walk really fast and are really pleasant. I like the chicken wings, tempura udon and special rolls. The other rolls are made quite nicely, with care (they don t fall apart). We had a salad that was kind of watery. Also I was super excited when I saw a black cod on the special menu. My mouth was watering thinking of the miso cod from that famous little place in Vancouver but it did not taste anything similar.
Anyways, nice place to go, gets packed on the weekends. Comfortable place to sit with good service.

Having seen this neighbourhood spot quite busy for months, we finally gave it a try last night and I have to say we were a little disappointed. The decor was great, and although the service was pleasant, unfortunately as is typical in Richmond, the meals were not delivered in a synchronized fashion. My daughter and my husband received their food more or less at the same time, but I had to wait for at least another 10 minutes to get mine. I'm not convinced that the flavours were authentic...something was wanting. There was also an issue with the interesting stone-like pots that the food came in. In my opinion, they were heated way too hot and kept the temperature of the food so hot that right down to the last bite had to be cooled before I could safely place it in my mouth. I don't think we'll go back again.

Ordered Avocado rolls - ended up with egg, pieces of crab and other random things in it. My son got sick from the food on top of that. He has been throwing up all night. Do Not Eat Here.
Delicious and authentic Korean-Japanese fare in an unlikely neighbourhood. Prices are reasonable which probably explains why this place is perpetually busy. It's our family's go-to spot for !

Nice local sushi place,which is almost always busy, even on weekdays. It is worth waiting though. They have quite broad selection of appetizers, sushi, sushimi and hot plates. Some dishes that I ate here and liked a lot are Killer Tuna Taco and Coconut Tuna Crunch.
Though the price is cheap, it is delicious than the price!

I love the sushi. It is usually pretty crowded so reservations are a must if you know when you will be there. I had dinner with friends last time and we did not have reservations so it was about 15-20min wait. The waiter was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us make several selections off the menu. They also were very attentive to our party despite being a busy Friday night. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Great service even during their busiest time and the food was wonderful. I was surprised at how quickly they were able to make my food after I had ordered. There isn't much space to wait inside but as long as one member of the party is inside the rest of us could wait outside under the covered area.

The service attitude is very poor. There is no 10% off for takeout, which means there is a discount for takeout. The reason is that there will be no discount for dine-in takeout. Why don t you cancel it for you now? You call to place the order again. I have to pick it up outside the store before I can give you a discount.

Gami Sushi are one of the best Japanese restaurants I have experienced in Richmond. They offer a wide range of sushi for reasonable prices. Their rice bowls have authentic Japanese taste and texture. Check it out!
Jumped in for a quick bite since I was a little bit hungry. I ordered the 7 piece salmon sashimi for about 10 bucks and I was surprised how big the pieces were! They were fresh and yummy.

Among so many sushi restaurant in Richmond, I think this is the best one. We had Blue Fin sushi from weekly special menu. The tuna just melt in my mouth with hint of grind ginger and green onion which gives full fragrance to the role. Really amazing experience!

If you are looking for some option of good place, delicious kind of food, with a good ambient and with a low price, do not hesitate on come and visit this restaurant. There are some hours that can be a little full, but just wait some minutes and I ensure you will not be disappointed. Just perfect.

Got a takeout order all messed up (like the box had been dropped). They just had to show some goodwill but chose to say it's never their problem. I guess some mistakes just can't be fixed... Even when I gave them a chance to fix it before I posted this. Check your takeout if you ever decide to order from them!
Stopped in for lunch as this was a my first time having sushi in Vancouver. Checked out a few places and settled on this place as it had good reviews. Well, they did not disappoint!! Very cool and cozy atmosphere. I ordered the special lunch bento box and everything was amazing. I ll definitely be coming back.

By far my favorite sushi place that I've managed to find. The food is always top quality and tastes so wonderful. Service is quick, efficient, and very pleasant. There is often a line to get in but they have very good turn over rate for tables. They also do take-out orders and I believe there is a small discount for getting a to go order. When I lived in the neighborhood my family and I would have something from there almost weekly, unfortunately I live a little further away now but it's still very worth going back. Keep up the fantastic work Gami team.

Small space with good sushi (great fish portion). Don't hesitate to try some comfort food (katsu donburi) or udon. It's all good. Worth the wait.
Fast and friendly service with high quality sushi! However there is a tendency for them to out furikake onto all their donburi, even when the taste clashes or overwhelms the protein of the dish (e.g. salmon sashimi don)
At dinner, the place is always packed. The prices are pretty similar to other sushi places in Richmond, but the food is almost guaranteed to be way better. Staff are quick and friendly.
I went there for the Lunch takeout. Service all good, Staff are very friendly. Ordered Beef Bento, it was OK...didn't impress me much. I was expecting something better, based on the reviews on Google.
The sushi s alright; tonkatsu is excellent though the two fillets come with little rice (better than the reverse). Overall great value and earns its reputation well.
The ambience is good. It doesn't break the bank. Service is pretty good most of the time. All in all it's my go to and out performs many other sushi restaurants.

My family of six went here on the recommendation of my sister, wait time was about a half hour when we arrived at 7:30 but the service and speed of food delivery was insanely good. Literally we couldn't eat fast enough to make space on the table for more food, and under $100 to fill six of us up? Definitely coming back!
Incredible food at a fair price!! I had the teriyaki chicken donburi and it was amazing. Enough food for 2 meals! Chicken was flavorful and the rice was done with vegetables as well. So delicious!
Always ask if they have *Uni* as it is a seasonal item. However there are times when you are lucky and they have them.
This place is great for lunch with it's bentos but there is only the regular menu for dinner which can get pricier.
Their Nigiris are done very well.
Their special rolls are not particularly unique but do taste great.
