What a great time we had. I love the simplicity of this place. To walk right out the door of my room and be literally just a few steps from the beach is amazing. No stupid stairs or gate codes or elevator to take; just your room on the beach.

The staff is very friendly and personable, makes you feel right at home. They have a great deck with a grill pit and overhang for picnic tables. The small pool is heated and kept very clean.

The rooms are simple but efficient. 2 cooking eyes, a mini fridge, toaster and blender. The window AC unit worked great, even though we mainly just opened all the windows and let the sea breeze blow through.

Hotel is On the beach! Beautiful location, a little far from walking distance to restaurants and bars, but definitely great for relaxing on the beach and going for a morning walk or run! Good value and very eccentric cloring to the hotel makes for great pictures! Cocoa beach has great sand and great waves to ride! There are a lot of surfers paddle boarders and sun soakers out there less than a two second walk away!

Priceless view and beach access! I spent 8 nights at this wonderful motel. This was a perfect home base for exploring the Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral area. Whether traveling solo, as a couple, family or group the Surf Studio is a great place to stay. Located in the quieter, residential area of town, yet close to everything the area has to offer. My one bedroom efficiency room was very clean, and perfect for short and long stays. Enjoyed the beach access, meeting others staying at the small 11 room motel, and quiet time on the expansive seating and deck area overlooking the beautiful beach and ocean. Owner and staff are wonderful, helpful, kind hosts. Will be back and highly recommend!

Quiet , very quiet. Bare bones apartment rental. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Beds are stiff. Shower drain didn't drain well. Reason for 4 star's. Beach was beautiful. Thank You Surf Studio.

Great quite place with a couple of hammocks and a sea side bar with a bring your own wood fire pit. Would rate 4.5 stars because I felt the mattresses could have used an upgrade although they were plenty comfortable enough. Loved this place in 2019 August.

Lots of things to do and places to in Coco.

This location is really laid back. You need that bring your own coffee and goodies. You get a pool, private deck area and 30-35 feet to the beach....what more could you want in a location.

My husband and I had a very memorable experience :) The staff was SUPER accommodating and helpful. The environment was tranquil and peaceful, with an excellent view of the beach directly from the pool/deck! The proximity of the ocean to the resort was a major plus! Sidenote: we LOVED the hammock there. We would highly recommend it to anyone!

Great location. Right on the beautiful beach! Rooms are clean and quaint.. old Florida style. Staff friendly. Beds a liitle lumpy but overall a great gem.

The beach access is perfect. Beautiful seating area. The grounds are not as manicured and clean as they had been in the past. The pool is well maintained and cool. The room we were in was nice except for the shower that is smaller than the body scanners at the airport. You literally could not turn with hitting your elbow on every corner. The door to the bathroom looked as if it had been chewed up on the bottom. Definitely need new pillows!
For the cost, I expected better of this "resort."

What a beautiful place! Comfortable beds, pet friendly, clean, great staff, and secluded. Right on the beach, private getaway. I could not ask for more in a beach hotel. I d give it 10 stars if I could. We will definitely be back.

For the money it was not worth the price. Bed was hard, pillows sucked, water drained slow in shower (no bathtub) and in kitchen sink, toilet ran and had to jiggle it to get it to stop. Tried calling the office from room phone, didn't work so had to use my cell phone. They said they are upgrading the phone system soon (they need to asap). Went to check out and no one around, left key. Sorry will not be back, too bad because I had high hopes for this place.

Clean, Great beach and they allow pets!

Stayed Friday and Saturday night. Room was cleaning and corftable. The location is perfect right on the beach. It even has a outside grill and lounge areas to sunbath and watch the waves and not have to walk in the sand. The Staff were friendly and they even accommodated our late arrival. Staff stay on the property in case you have an issue. Will stay here again for sure.

It's nice to find a place that's a little different than what you're expecting and this place has it. I wanted beach front and a reasonable price. What I got was beach front and a GREAT price. It's a mom and pop place, 1 story bungalows that are VERY clean, something that's very important to me. All around the place are skyrise condos and hotels, so you know, they're taking a hit financially by not expanding. But what you get has a family feel, a safe feel and place you know you're going to visit again and again. Book a room here, you won't regret it. The ONE bad thing, which isn't that bad. Their pool is in the shade of a giant condotel a few doors down in the early morning, but I think by 11am or noon, it's probably sunny. But the Atlantic is right there, so who needs a pool anyway?

Maybe not luxurious enough for some, but certainly an awesome place to enjoy the beach. Very friendly management and surf boards to rent. We spent Newyears Eve here and had a great time!

This is an 'old Florida' type hotel. There are only ten rooms and they are all ground level. The owner lives on site. This is not a fancy place but it is clean and updated. The rooms have new vinyl flooring. A couple of the rooms are studios and a couple have a separate bedroom. The pool area is fenced and has a good view of the ocean. The rooms mostly face the inner courtyard. The end rooms (2 of them) face the beach. The studio #9 also has a bit of an ocean view and pool view. There is a washer and dryer that the cleaning crew uses, but guest are welcome to use it too. There is a fee for both machines. The only reason for the 4-stars instead of 5-stars is that the refridgerators are small and there is no ice machine available on site. There is a gas station about a block away, but that was an added expense and trip we had to make every day in order to keep our drinks cold. If you don't plan to cook, the small refridgerator may not be an issue. Overall, I'd stay here again.

Really nice place to stay. The grounds are immaculate. Well thought out with the thought to Travelers and what they would like to see and do while trying to relax at an Oceanfront Motel. The owner really goes out of his way to be sure you're enjoying yourself, have everything you need or want, and are being well taken care of. He takes a lot of pride in knowing that you are enjoying the property that has been in his family many years. The swimming pool was wonderful plenty of umbrellas to sit under to keep you from getting too hot in the sun plenty of chairs to sit at. The grounds are kept trimmed and mode and looking beautiful 24/7. I would definitely go back here again it would be a pleasure to enjoy time at this beach motel. We did go to the beach are everyday and it was a very short walk and the beach was beautiful and the weather for us perfect. Had a wonderful getaway.

Small quiet property away from the crowds. Heated pool, fire pit, plenty of lounge chairs. Some traffic noise depending on your rooms location but not bad. No frills propery, not for everyone. Very laid back, dogs are welcone, smoking on property not in rooms is allowed, even provides ash trays. (Hard to find for those who still smoke). Our suite had separate bedroom with tv and main room had tv, coaches and small kitchen, bath.. Property is dated but great location...no crowds!

This is the place to stay of you are older and don't want to be around kids like the big hotels. The staff are great and The beach location is great. I would stay here again. A nice quaint location how cocoa beach used to be.

I give it four stars. It's not for everyone. I'll tell you what my experience was, and you can decide if it's something you might like. The location is unparalleled, first off. When you walk out of your room, you are almost on the beach. In 20 steps, you're in the sand. There was some construction going on in most of the rooms when we arrived, so we were upgraded to a better room. We had a view of both the ocean and the pool. This was excellent. It was fun to watch the cruise ships at night. However, keep in mind that all the rooms are on the first floor. This wasn't a problem at first, when we had the place to ourselves. After a few more people arrived though, we suddenly had a choice of a view or privacy. In some ways, a second floor balcony would be preferable in this respect. The lack of signs and rules is refreshing. My husband and I took glasses of wine to the deck the first night and sipped while we sat in lounge chairs while we watched the waves. We brought out a pot of coffee one morning and watched the sun come up. There are no hours posted on the pool, so I think it's possible to go swimming there whenever you feel like it. It's nice to be treated like a grownup. It's not all roses, though--there was no phone in our room. Everyone has a cell nowadays, so it was not problem. Still, it's one of those things you expect. The mount for the TV was falling off the wall in the bedroom area. As another reviewer mentioned, the pillows suck. My pillows smelled so strongly of suntan oil that I had trouble sleeping the first night and slept with a doubled up clean beach towel under my head. The shower seemed oddly small and very dark, though the water pressure was good and I didn't have any trouble with the drainage. Several items in the kitchen needed to be washed before they were used. Wi-fi was unusable for more than 30 minutes a day, and when it rained one evening, the layout of the sitting area/kitchen made it impossible to easily watch TV. We ended up going to bed because the angle was better (yes, two TVs in the room). That said, the deck with lots of chairs on it is very nice to have, and that end of Cocoa Beach is less commercial and crowded than it is farther north. Overall, the room was a little too expensive for what we got. I have family in Cocoa Beach, so I will definitely be returning to the area. However, we're gonna stay somewhere else. For $100 per night, I'd come back. At $160/night, my expectations were a lot higher. And now that I look at the site and see $115/night quoted for the current season, I feel ripped off. So, three stars.

This is a wonderful family run motel. It is a no frills place but you don't need them here. You step outside your room and in less than 50 feet you're on the beach. The views are absolutely spectacular. They have nice large seating area with large outdoor grill. This isn't a big model so that means it's very quiet and intimate. They also have a nice pool as well.

Clean, quiet, and quaint. Older, properly maintained facility that takes you back to the 60's - except for the Wi-Fi, air conditioning, microwave, and mini- fridge. If I come back to Cocoa Beach, it will be here.

Room is quaint and has everything you need. It's literally steps from the beautiful beach. It was kind of cold we came but didnt deflect from the gorgeous scenery. I want to come when its warmer out!

Surf Studio is a very special place whose energy and atmosphere are impossible to replicate anywhere else! They make you feel right at home and your backyard is the beautiful coast of Cocoa Beach! Can t beat it! Highly recommend!

A touch of real Florida beachfront - couldn't be better. Beautifully maintained, great beach access, heated pool, nice folks. If you're looking for fancy, go to the Ritz. If you're looking for comfortable, fun, and real, this is the place. Dog friendly rooms and beach, so critters can enjoy as well.

Took a last minute getaway with no time to plan. I was a bit at first when i saw the place online, so we opted to pay the place a visit before booking the room. While the prices were a little higher than I wanted to spend (probably because we didn't book in advance), it wad worth every penny. Private beach that wasn't crowded, excellent customer service and pet friendly were the top 3 things i have to brag about. They are, however, very stern about keeping it quiet there so be sure your kids are in check before going. It is there utmost priority to allow guests to relax so I certainly understand that. I will go back for sure!

This isn't a 5 star resort but was the perfect fit for our family get-a-way this week! The rooms are little duplexes that face a nice grass area. The spacious patio with shade sail, fire pit, and pool were all extremely well kept. The rooms were very neat and clean with some updated furniture. The staff is super accommodating to pets which was a requirement for this trip. We would absolutely return.

This is the perfect spot for those of us who love the simple, no frills beauty of a Florida beach experience. Recently spent 3 nights here with family celebrating a milestone Birthday. The grounds are lush and maintained with a lot of detail and obvious care. The beach is literally steps away. The very large deck space accommodates everyone with as much or as little interaction with other guests as you would want and has gorgeous views of the ocean. We cooked a meal for 13 of us on the large stone fire pit grill, and there would have easily been room for more food. The rooms are super clean and have everything you need. This place is a dream. We had an ocean view room, but others in our group did not. It's such a quaint little spot so close to the beach, it does not matter which room you are in, they are all wonderful. Can't wait to come back.

Highly recommend staying here. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and stocked accommodations, steps from the beach or the beautiful pool, and close to the downtown area with plenty of great eateries, coffee shops and ice cream joints. Beach chairs and umbrellas for your use and and a few foam surf boards and boogie as well. Bring your swim suit and plenty of sun screen and prepare to relax. My only complaint? We had to leave and go back to the real world. No matter. We'll back!

Spent 3 lovely nights here recently and had an overall great time. Great location and really nice beach front with a deck and a pool. Simply a perfect setting. The grounds are well kept; it is also quiet. It is a slice of old Florida that I hope is kept as is for a long time. The negatives are that the rooms are in need of some renovations, and lack basic amenities. The registration and service were great and friendly. I only wish the nice lady at the front would have used a mask when we went inside to check in. Thanks for a great time.

Our family just came back from another terrific vacation at the Surf Studio. This is the most relaxing place you and your family could stay in Cocoa Beach. Most people have been coming here for years and the place has a wonderful atmosphere. You will love the beachside deck. The resort has a great location (quiet but close to everything). The owner Gregg and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about everything in and around the Cocoa Beach area. Always wish we could have stayed longer.

My family and I had a great time at Surf Studio in Cocoa Beach, FL.!! We were treated just like family. I will book here every year from now on!! We have found our little piece of Heaven!! Great service, and kind, caring people run the Surf Studio!! Very clean, private and just an all around great place. Keep up the great work guys!!
