Beautiful hotel, the rooms are on the smaller side but, they are very functional. The staff was very kind, the beach was easily accessible and the pool was absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back.

Friendly hotel in heart of South Miami. Direct beach access. Great deal on private cabanas. We rented a private poolside cabana which is comp as long as u spend $200 in food and drinks. Fed all 5 of us for 5 hours with extra takeout for dinner. I will say however if u drink alcohol the $200 will go fast. Food tasted great. Mocktails were yummy. Beach access was super convenient. Cabanas were spacious and comfortable. Hidden gem on South Miami Beach. Valet parking only $30. WOW.

Very nice hotel right in the heart of South Beach. They do allow pets which is great and have grass areas for them. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are a little dated but ok if you are planning on enjoying the beach, pool and night life. We recommend staying here.

Disclaimer: I did not stay the night at this hotel...

Disclaimer: I did not stay the night at this hotel, I reserved a day-pass for the pool, beach, and bar.

My visit was horrendous. I booked the day-pass and reserved one of the pool-side daybeds for the day. Upon arriving, I was notified that there was a minimum food and beverage spend of $250. I notified the staff that this was not disclosed in my reservation, and they did not care. So I either had to walk away from my $215 daybed reservation with nothing, or agree to spend an additional $250 minimum. I chose to stay.

The pool waitress came once to take my initial order and take my credit card, dropped off drinks, and never came back. We sat by the pool for 4 hours and never saw our waitress again. When I walked to the bar to request drinks and/or a waitress I was told they would send someone to the pool. It took over 20 minutes at that point for someone to come over.

The final frustration related to my $215 daybed reservation. Two other couples walked up and took the daybeds next to us without reservation. Hotel staff asked if they had reserved the beds, the guests said no, and the staff replied "if someone who reserved the beds show up you'll have to leave."

In summary, I paid $215 for something that the people next to me got for free, I was surprised with a $250 minimum spend that was not disclosed anywhere, and the service was horrible. I've already spoken to hotel support and their response was "This has been addressed with the team. We hope you give us another chance"

No thank you. I won't be wasting any more money here.

Very nice hotel. Clean. Inviting. Friendly. Just the rooms were a little noisy but we barely were in the room... We were out in the sun! Can't wait to go back. Free coffee in the morning and wine hour at night. Yay.

As a person who works in the hotel industry, this resort is it! Instead of staying at a more well-known property and brand decided to stay here all because of what my resort fees actually covered. As you can see by the pictures this place is beautiful, great location. Resort fees are a VERY tricky way for hotels to add fees. However, Kimpton Surfcomber is one I felt was actually worth it.

Daily resort activities, carefully curated during Covid showed safety precautions this place took to make guests feel great. Not to mention that I went during one of the years coldest nights. And because of those resort fees, I was provided a movie night with popcorn in the hotel lobby. Bike rentals are available. My beach attendant Andre was beyond gracious and helpful about the rules on property. He even suggested we get a bed instead of the standard chair. I had a great time doing yoga with the instructor, I m sorry I forgot her name but she was great!

The private cabanas are beautiful, and a nice way to enjoy friends and family with a little privacy.

The music played from this property and the next in the evening time with the lights make this an enjoyable resort. I was even able to meet a few folks from Pennsylvania doing the same thing. As we played connect four and enjoy cocktails by the fire pit.

Kimpton Surfcomber, thank you so much for making my Covid getaway trip worth it despite everything. I can t wait to come back and visit!

Stayed here 5 nights. 5/9-5/14 Price diff each night plus long list of taxes and fees adding considerably to rate. Pool was very nice but while "oceanfront" that was long walk away. On site restaurant VERY slow for dinner. Useless wine reception 5-6pm as we didn't drink ANY of the wines served. Room was nice size.

Love this place! Everyone that works here are very nice. Place smells good and clean. They have a pool and even have a machine for people who have disability so they can enjoy the pool too. Most of all, this place welcomes your pet. Enjoyed our stay here and slept good even if it is loud outside. Easy beach access where they provide towels and chairs till 6pm. Depends on the room you may or may not get free parking but they have valet.

I feel bad only giving 4 stars because the service is 5 stars but the rooms are TINY and the bathrooms are even smaller. They really need to do some upgrades there. The overall cleanliness of the resort was fair. The staff was incredibly attentive though. The beach is great. The location is awesome and the view from our room over the pool was out of this world. We got the large balcony and it was totally worth it! Our balcony was amazing. We actually spent an entire day on it.

Previous to check in we called and asked if we could have 5 people in a 4 people room (1 extra ) and they agreed and suggested a cot. Fast forward to check in they explain to us the one extra individual would not be given a wristband resulting in no use of amenities and suggested we stay somewhere else. We d understand if we hadn t flown across the state to be told the complete opposite but we had already paid and arrived. With that when checking out we d been charged a $300 hidden fee that was not originally on our bill or told to us at check in, they claimed it was because our stay was during spring break. The resort was nice and all other customer service was excellent but the rooms were small and the service at the front desk was not.
