The most important thing about the service is that I trust Super Repair to fix what needs to be fixed and fix it well.

I want to start off by saying, I am very picky about ho touches my Subaru (or any of my cars). I had my boyfriend take his car there first to see how they dealt with him and his car. One week after we got my boyfriend's car back, I decided to take my car there for some needed work. When I arrived, I was told my boyfriend had paid in cash and gave them $100 more than he should have; due to the bills sticking together. The company found the mistake and gave me the $100 in cash to give back to my boyfriend. We were already very happy with their service, and when they were honest when they didn't have to be (because we didn't know it was missing), I was sold. This company has some of the finest people working there and will never need to find a new mechanic again, besides their honesty they were right on with their quote, gave me a cheap rental car while they had mine and didn't over sell or quote me on anything. I highly recommend this place for your Subaru!

This last visit simply extended my faith in Super Rupair. They are thorough, honest, knowledgeable, and just plain easy and pleasant to deal with. I know they'll find everything that's wrong and that it will be completely fixed for good.

Came to here to buy a used cargo cover for my Forrester as the clips on mine had fallen off; on the phone, they said a used one ran around $50. They showed me a few that, while they fit, didn't snap into place easily when extended, and said the price was $25. Then the employee offered to just take the clips off one of the other cargo covers and sell those to me for $5. Finally, his boss said I could just have them! Wow! Will definitely bring my car back here if it needs repairs.

Best and largest independent Subaru sales and repair, west of the Mississippi... if you have a Subaru and are anywhere near Boulder, use them.

I recently visited Super Rupair and got to know the owners and manager. It is always nice to see a business that is open to learning and growing for the benefit of their clients and staff. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area.

I'd buy a Subaru just so that I know it can get serviced here. Have brought my wife's 08 Forester for service and repairs and the staff are friendly and efficient. I love the free rides I get in case I need to drop off the car and head into work. Good wifi, massage chairs and coffee are obviously nice perks.

Quick and efficient. Gave me loaner car for 2 day repair. And they really know what they're doing with Subarus.

I had some pretty major work done: Head gasket (my second in 130k miles, yay Subaru), timing belt, rear main seal, and a few other things. They were extremely easy to work with and let me know what was happening with the repairs every step of the way. For all that work, my car was only in the shop for 2 days, and the cost was 100% fair. I suppose these folks are a bunch of legends.

This car dealership operate in a slick hair greased back used car way. Its not worth the value go to a new car dealership better value for a small increase.

We tried to call you over multiple matters shame on you for suggesting you offer any type of customer service. Your staff told us that it was our problem that we bought a car with less miles than when you bought it,

Great experience. They allowed me to test drive the vehicle for a couple of hours. (I don't know if this is typical) They handled all of the financing. There was no pressure to up-sell me anything. They are not a dealer, so no additional "fees" that dealers charge.
They were great. I highly recommend them.

When I got my oil changed there last week they were great and very informative but then less than a week later my transmission started to slip so I called to see if they had any idea why and the guy on the phone was rude, condescending and incredibly unhelpful.

Great and detailed about repairs for my car. Straight forward with with what needs to be done now and what can wait.

i think their work is great, but their prices can be a bit much and sometimes i have gone here and received a very snotty attitude. sometimes the attitude has been wonderful too.

I've been here twice, and so far the only way I think they could improve is if the immaculate, $9 a day loaner car massaged my feet and did my taxes.

These folks do great work, but they overcharge in my opinion.

Always reliable, trustworthy and they promptly let me know when the work is complete. They have never let me down and I will continue to use them as my only Subaru repair place in Boulder.

I was told about this place from a friend, and so glad I went here. Every time has been an outstanding experience. Great service, friendly and affordable. Its hard to find a place you can trust with your car but this is the only place i will be going from now on.

My fiance and I had a great experience buying a car from here. Tom was great, he listened to our needs, and didn't pressure us into buying a car at all. The process felt very comfortable and we felt well taken care of. Would definitely recommend and buy from them again!

Great trust worthy shop with integrity! I once paid with cash, debit, and credit, accidentally over paying $100, once they noticed, they gave it back. They have always been courteous and professional with reasonable rates. The used parts are a bargain. If you have a Subaru, this is the only way to go.

The guys at Blue Spruce were really great to work with. I did not purchase a vehicle from them, the one I looked at in the morning was sold later that afternoon (as is the game with used car shopping). But I emailed to make sure it was sold that next morning and they confirmed it. Eric called me 20 minutes later and said they had another car that was the same model I wanted that they had just gotten in. I wound up not purchasing that car, there were a few things I did not like about it for personal preference reasons. They are really casual and put you at ease.

LOVE these guys! I am always treated respectfully and they explain everything. I have never been ripped off here. Firestone's estimate was $2500 more than Super Rupair's for my transmission repair.

You know a place is good when your friends learn you have a Subaru and tell you to call Super Rupair next time you need a repair :)

Also, I should add I've been with them 3 years now and nothing they've touched has ever needed fixing. Very happy.

Super Rupair took the greatest of care of me, I picked up a used part which unfortunately failed under warranty. I was on the side of the road and broke down and they brought me a new part asap. I was forever grateful and will be a loyal customer forever! See Doug in the Used Parts department and he will take extremely good care of you!

The customer service and care are certainly there. I would recommend for parts, and service for anyone who doesn't fix their own!

I took my Subaru in because lights kept burning out. When I called Super Rupair, I gave them a detailed description about how this happened and stressed that, at that time, both taillights were burnt out. They examined it and said that a corroded battery cable was likely causing the alternator to overwork, thereby causing lights to burn out. I gave the ok for them to fix it, paying them more than $250. I picked up my car, got it home and found that the taillights still did not work. I called them and took it back in the next day. When I brought it in they insisted that the taillights had been working fine when my car left their shop. They examined it again and said that the switch that operates the lights was broken and that it would cost several hundred more to fix it. I asked if it would be any less since I already paid them to fix the problem, and then got my car back only to find out that the problem had not at all been fixed. I was told no, because they had to fix the more "obvious" problem first. He then said that the switch, which now needed to be replaced, was working just fine when I left the shop the first time. So, when my car rolled out of their garage the taillights and the switch were in perfect working order. During my drive home the switch broke, thereby causing the lights to no longer function? If that's the case, then why didn't the taillights work before I took it into Super Rupair? They offered no explanations of how this could have happened. They also offered no apologies for charging me to fix something that didn't at all address the problem I initially brought in my car for. This is shockingly poor business ethics. Consider this: if you were to go to emergency room for a broken leg and, while there, the medical personnel learned that you also have chronic migraines, would you be satisfied if they gave you a prescription for the headaches and let you hobble out of the ER on your busted femur? Yeah, me either.

Updated Review - 4 Stars - 6/12/17: Just received a call from Kirby, and while I was without a vehicle for the weekend, it was an honest mistake by a newer employee. Kirby really stepped up and made things right. In speaking with him, it's clear that having great systems in place and taking care of customers is a high priority for Super Rupair... I'd have given 5 stars, but I was unexpectedly without a vehicle for the weekend so I think 4 is fair.

Original Review - 1 Star - 6/10/17: Really not happy with Super Rupair right now. I dropped off my 2005 Subaru Legacy GT which needs a lot of love... Unfortunately, the love it needs exceeds the value of the car - burnt valves, requiring replacement heads... Something I do not hold against Super Rupair.

The issue I have is that I was asked if I needed the car for the weekend (I live in Nederland, so having a car is necessary). Noting that it was late in the day on Friday, I indicated that I could ride my bike the remainder of the day and pick the car up today (Saturday). At no point in time did the service rep share with me that Super Rupair is closed Saturday and Sunday.

So, while my car isn't in the greatest condition, I'm stuck without it for the remainder of the weekend. This is both infuriating and frustrating, as had the gentleman I spoke with on the phone communicated to me that Super Rupair isn't open on Saturday and Sunday, I'd have most certainly asked for the car to be put back together.

As noted in a response to another review, communication is key, I'm a new customer, and I was completely unaware of the hours of operation until I called earlier today and was informed by the recording that you are closed.

Now I'm stuck without a vehicle for the weekend and forced to cancel plans.

Requested a broken piece of under car plastic be removed while a number of routine services were taken care of. Piece was collecting snow and dragging on the pavement. Was told they would and assured it was not needed. They removed the wrong piece, left the broken one on, it continued to drag on the pavement. Upon bringing it back they proceeded to show me the issue with the broken component.

Yeah, I know it was broken, that's why I asked to have it removed when I brought the car in initially.

After having increasingly bad service (last visit the wire came off a spark plug driving it home after they'd replaced the plugs) I will have to find a new place to take my car. I can't be expected to take the car back after every time it's been serviced to have the stuff they didn't do finished. It's too bad, I used to trust these guys for service done right the first time. Now, not so much.

I'm a long-time customer and have been very satisfied with their customer service, technical work, and pricing. SR has worked extensively on my Subies over the years and my perception is that they are consistently honest, reliable, and competent. They provide extensive diagnostic information, are clear about repair priorities (what needs repair soon vs. later), offer inexpensive used parts when available and appropriate, and charge competitive prices that are often lower than the local dealer's rates. At this point I don't bother shopping around for service prices or second opinions; if SR says some work needs to be done, I just say "do it". In the rare occasions where there has been an apparent problem with their work, I've taken the car back to them and they have made it right at a discounted fee. In short: Highly recommended.

This place is incredible. I have been going there for years with my old Subaru and they are always extremely honest and helpful. Most recently I had an issue out of town, and almost got screwed over by another store. I called super rupair and they helped me figure out my problem over the phone! They are incredibly well educated on cars and extremely patient in teaching you about your car. I LOVE super rupair!

Super Rupair was honest and.hlepful when I needed to replace an engine that had blown. They prepared the replacement engine. Set it in the truck and when we returned the old engine were helpful in supplying a couple of ground straps that had broken on the old engine. Great service and very knowledgable.

Be absolutely sure that the mechanic is hearing the same noise that you were describing.

Doesn't get better than SUPER RUPAIR! I go here all the time and Doug treats me well. Gives me the best prices on used parts in the Denver area. I live in Pueblo and even still drive up! They have helped me about 10 times over the years, and I'll always be a loyal customer!

These guys know their stuff and won't up sell you on any unnecessary work.

I've never been so disappointed with a repair job. I had my head gaskets replaced since they were leaking 0.5 to 1 quart between oil changes. After the 'repair', the engine now leaks 2.5 quarts between oil changes (3000 miles). Since it's leaking internally it's called consuming the oil, but it's still a leak, just to the inside rather than the outside. Apparently Subaru states that consuming a quart every 1200 miles is considered acceptable, although that's truly terrible performance in my (everyone's?) opinion. The manager stated several times that there's nothing they would've done that could cause it to get worse, which is just nonsense. The problem is almost certainly that the gasket seal surfaces weren't cleaned properly, the gasket wasn't seated properly, or it was just a bad gasket. I understand that it's expensive for them to redo, but that's why a good mechanic will be careful to do it right the first time or fix it again if it had a problem. Anyway, they were unwilling to make it right and fix the issue. They claim that consuming huge amounts of oil is normal even if it never did it before bringing it to Super Rupair. Now I have a new project to constantly check my oil to keep the engine from running dry and destroying itself. The car would've been better off if they never touched it and I would've saved $3000.

UPDATE:
To their credit, Super Rupair offered to replace the PCV valve and change the oil to a type that is supposed to reduce gasket leakage. I'm a bit doubtful that this will help, but if it does I'll gladly amend the review.

I don't much care to argue about this but the response from the owner isn't entirely accurate. What I wrote came entirely from my conversations with Super Rupair, so there should be no suprises. This is also the first negative review I've ever felt the need to make.

I never asked for a new engine despite the owner's response. I'm not sure where he got that idea. At most I would expect a new gasket installed. That's not unreasonable if the work didn't go right. I know that's a lot of labor, but it's all the more reason to be careful.

It's also not accurate that it's impossible for a head gasket to leak internally. It's pretty basic. This gasket seals about a dozen fluid channels, oil, coolant, and combustion. A leak of any of these channels can cause these fluids to travel between the channels (internal leak) or out of the engine (external leak). Several things can cause this. It could be a defective part. Maybe the bolts weren't tightened in a proper cross-wise pattern with even torque, causing uneven gasket compression. Sometimes these things leak even when you're being careful. That's one reason I don't like doing them myself.

Fast service and they only do Subaru! I trust them with my car.

My Subaru is the the second oldest in their shop; 368,760 and still ticking. I cannot think about going to another shop because of the service, and expert care of my Forester; she still lives and breaths! I have raised 5 dogs in this car. She has taken me on every fishing trip and to the middle of nowhere without a hitch due to their care!

Good, but you're almost guaranteed to schedule apointments a week in advance.

I was really happy to have a local shop to have my subaru serviced at, but my experience was not good. I had my car in for an oil change and they told me the radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced. I scheduled the service appointment two weeks out but in the meantime had a friend who works on cars check it out with me. My radiator was completely dry. I kept my appointment and asked the service tech to show me where they see issues and they could not point them out to me but told me they would have ran a test on it. I asked to see the records on the testing and they could not find them. They lost far more business than they would have gained by replacing my radiator. Several months later, I have had my car serviced at other shops and my radiator is in great condition. I had also paid them to replace the tubes that carry the windshield washer fluid and they did, well, they are leaking again and degrading which means they were not replaced but possibly temporarily repaired somehow. The fluid spilled all over under my hood and is now corroding the area around my battery. I wish they could see that being honest would bring them more business. I will not bring my cars in again.

Easy to make an appointment, only had the car a few hours to replace both sets of brake pads and price was exactly as quoted. Best of all they provide Lyft back to your house! The only issue is with Lyft as they need to get there nav app fixed as it kept taking their drivers somewhere else.

Very disappointed with the parts department. I had called ahead to confirm they had the brake caliper I needed. Drove all the way across town, traffic was bad but still got there 3 minutes before the posted 5:30 close. Even though they knew I was on my way they had closed and locked up early.

I bought a car here about a year ago. I test drove a 2005 Subaru Outback XT. They let me take it home for the night. Car ran fine up until I parked it on a slight incline. It wouldn't start until I rolled it to a flat surface. I Brought it back and test drove a different car. It was a 2007 Legacy GT. Car was perfect! Clean and looked new. I paid a little over KBB and Nada but it was worth it because they just did a new timing belt and some other Maintenance since it just rolled over 108k. It has been 12,000 miles later and now the car needs new heads quoted buy Arapahoe Subaru for a bill of $7,500. Needless to say I drove 2 cars from them and both of them had issues. Be careful buying here.

Just bought a great little used Subaru from them, it's my third Subaru, first from them.

Had a couple things come up in the first month, nothing major, and their service shop really took good care of me.

I'm super satisfied with the entire company, from sales to service. Definitely recommend them to friends for all things Subaru.

Truly amazing service! I bought a (very) used impreza, and their used parts department has been a godsend with helping me get it back to a great car. With every part I've needed at great prices and great advice, this is the only place I'll ever go.

This is one of the best places to take an older Subaru. The shop keeps used parts on hand and is equipped to handle even the most complex repairs competently and affordably. The warranty their work and give you a personal touch like a Christmas card signed by all employees.

Amazing establishment. Very reasonable prices on anything from rotor changing to an engine replacement. They have the best labor rates in boulder on Subaru s and they follow through on OEM torque and standards throughout all of there work.

My personal reason for really loving the way these guys work is their position as being apart of a car community. These guys are helpful even if your asking for advice or if you simply need a small part for you own repairs. They have a great selection of used parts as well as new parts for reasonable prices. They have even gotten an alignment done for me with aftermarket coilovers, which most places turned away without thinking twice.

The used parts tech (Doug) will go above and beyond to help you get what you need and has even offered to fix a used part or weld something for me when need be. The engine tech has been there for when I strip bolts and or over torque and even offers his personal knowledge on installing anything correctly. Overall a great place for the community and I ll happily bring them any of my business for years to come.

2nd thoughts: forgot to mention the sales department! Go to Eric for great prices on Subaru s of all types from NA to Turbo, he s got it all. Got my XT from him for a great price and he really gives you all the info you need to make a decision. Not to mention they do a full service job on all cars they bring in, so every car on the lot I saw was in great running condition unlike most used car dealers.

Had an appointment, got it there at 930 am, they finally had looked at it by around 245 that day, so by then it needed to be kept overnight. Bummer. Then it was fixed by the next day, they had charged me for 11 hours of labor, even though there was a max of about 8 or 9 hours that had elapsed. I brought that up, they didn't care. Summary: slow and overpriced.

The staff at Super Rupair is always very courteous and knowledgeable. There prices or completely on parts(small margin above dealership). They have an awesome selection of used parts as well. Of I need a part for my Subaru, I'll definitely give them a call first

Outstanding service. Always friendly, knowledgeable and magic touch when it comes to Subaru's. I referred my friend here when she needed to get the disturbingly common head gasket repaired. They do the job right the first time, and charge a fair price for it. Not cheap, but then again they don't try to sell you blinker fluid either. Treat women fairly and don't treat them like idiots. I have been here for timing belt jobs, an ice related incident that needed a knuckle, strut and a new wheel, regular maintenance, radiator work and air conditioning services along with the regular oil changes. If you have a Subaru and live anywhere, come here, these guys will put a new lease on life for your car. This place is fantastic. They actually care more about fixing your car in the most effective and cost efficient way possible than squeezing as much out of you as they can (like most other shops I've visited). If you own a Subaru, there is no other choice.

Great experience here. Aaron is very kind and professional, and actually explains and shows me the issues with my car. He didn't use jargon I don't understand and send me on my way like most other car shops I've been to. He was thorough and professional. Reasonable prices, HONEST, and will provide transportation to where you need to go while your car is being worked on. I've been taking my 2018 Subaru here ever since dealing with some dealership shadiness. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed in this shop. They botched both a CV joint installation and brake rotor replacement for me. Will never go here again.

I have used Super Rupair for almost 7 years now and I have to say they are overall a great shop to use. That being said, I have wondered about some of the work I have had done over the years and there were points that I felt as though I was paying more than I should for some repairs or being charged for repairs that were unecessary. This feeling was coupled with the fact that I bought my Subaru used from Super Rupair, making me all that much more wary. Over time I found there are some things that Super Rupair will charge more for than other companies (parts stores, tire replacement, alignment, etc.). I have come to realize this is because they care for my vehicle, my safety in that vehicle, and the overall quality of my vehicle. Some of Super Rupair's prices are very competitive though too. A few years back I needed my struts replaced, but this was when I was still wary of using Supetr Rupair so I took my vehicle to another mechanic to have it checked. In the end I paid more at the other mechanic for the same diagnostic, would have paid more to have the struts replaced there, and the warranty was not as long. All of this may have cost me more immediately, but in the long run it has saved me money because I now trust Super Rupair to keep my car in great working shape. Even though it may cost more for an oil change at Super Rupair I will still use them everytime because of their 30 point inspection, the free 5th oil change, because I know they will do a good diagonostic of a problem I may notice and if I think I can get it done somewhere else for a better price they will be honest about that or let me know of what advantages I may have with them.

I have an 02 subaru that needed some minor repairs. These guys told me up front how much it would cost to check it out, then called back the same day to tell me what they found. They explained the problems and how much each would cost to fix. They had it finished the next day. Great place for repairs.
