Their service department is NOT the same as in years past.
My car has been in for an oil leak, for a while. The last time I was at Superior, I told it was my oil pan. They gave me a list of issues along with an estimate. We took it to another service department (new car dealership-other make). We had bought an oil pan to do the work ourselves, but decided to have someone else do it. They checked. It was not my oil pan, but the valve cover gasket. The oil pan is fine, not issues. This dealership service department didn't charge us for this either. We were thankful for their honesty.
We knew that Superior had replaced a gasket and/or part in the past, when I had a similar leak (which now we are wondering if it is the SAME leak). . When I called Superior to ask about my service/repair history, they had a note that a "gasket" had been replaced, but they couldn't tell me which one. The fact that there has been an oil leak (since the last time we had it in at Superior and the mystery gasket had been replaced) makes us wonder if it has been the valve cover gasket all along, especially since the car has been plagued with an oil leak. When we buy a new car, we will buy Mazda...we will not be purchasing from this dealership. It is a shame that we will have to drive to Tulsa for our service as well, when that time comes.
