Hon. Carmen Luege is very professional and treats everyone with dignity and respect in the courtroom. Judge Luege listens to every word being said makes the children's well being a top priority.
I think that anyone who has a complaint about Judge Luege should take a second look at the attorney they chose. A great attorney makes all the difference in the courtroom.

Judge Carmen Luege | Orange County Family Court

I have had a very similar experience with this Judge. In my opinion, she rules on prejudice and not on what is actually in the best interest of the child. My attorney made a formal complaint to the presiding family court Judge and was told that there is currently a 'drawer full' of similar complaints on Judge Carmen Luege. I also had an extremely hard time understanding her with her poor English and thick accent. She would often attempt to read evidence and skirt over multiple words while reading - I'm assuming it is either because she did not know how to pronounce the word or did not know what it meant; so she omitted reading them. I will work tirelessly to remove this Judge from Family Court to ensure the safety of my child.

Judge Carmen R. Luege : Dishonorable

Judge Carmen R. Luege accepted law breaking contempt of court admission from respondent (mother) and only evidence from respondent. When I the petiotioner (father) needed to show evidence to counter and prove my case, she would not hear or accept any of my material of evidence. Even though the mother admitted to contempt of court, Judge Luege said I was exaggerating and called me a liar while my evidence would've shown otherwise. When I questioned Luege if it was illegal for the mother to keep our children away from me for over 3 months with zero replys from texts or phone calls or police authorities trying to make contact with the mother, she replied "I don't have to answer your question". Luege allowed a lawbreaker to get away with what she did. Is it any wonder why the mother continues to break the law? There's currently a petition to expose Carmen R. Luege on Facebook. I'm submitting on any platform so that others with the same experience will come forward. Please look into this and spread the word of this injustice as I am retrieving my transcripts from this hearing.

I honestly had the worst experience here at the superior court in orange county. I have been a California resident all my life. Seeing how the disservice in the court house is the most disappointing thing. I needed copies for a court document and I was told to go to the recording office. There was a man named Ernie sitting in the front desk and had absolutely no professionalism. I requested for a copy and he literally took over 10 mins to get copies. And the worst he never even disclosed to me there were fees associated with copies. On top of that he charged me over 30 dollars and didnt even staple my paperwork. I am so apauld and literally disgusted by the work ethic. There needs to be a change in management and employee customer service training. Back to the basics.

Judge Deborah Servino is a discretion abusing jurist. She was transferred from family court to civil unlimited following a defective decision she rendered, eventually overturned where she essentially threw a teen in prison without legal cause. Her tragic and absurd decision would eventually be overturned by the California Supreme Court following assistance from the ACLU. There are many bad jurists in this building who have endured embarrassing appeal returns, judges like Charles Margines, Michael McCartin, Kim Dunning, and Commissioner Carmen Luege, just to name a few.

If you file a notice of appeal against Judge Servino, make sure to stamp your documents in the clerks office upon arrival in the building. If you don t, the clerk will except your notice of appeal, but she won t stamp and file it that moment. Judge Servino will then, with the aid of her clerk and Filipino deputy, edit her decision to punish you as a litigant for questioning her judgement. One way she does this is later awarding attorney s fees to the prevailing party, where she hadn t done prior to filing notice of appeal. She is a moral-less judge with a fetish for the Filipino culture. May GOD bless her with a disabled baby.

Commissioner Carmen Luege fled the US Attorney s office on the heels of a federal civil suit that eventually made its way the the US Supreme Court. She is the Cuban version of White trash. If you appear in her court opposite attorney Steven Silverstein, the commissioner s friend and neighbor, you will lose, regardless of the merit of your case.

It is the absolute most annoying customer service issue in the world when you want to call and talk to a real human being but instead you keep getting redirected around an automated system that doesn t help with anything. GET SOME REAL PEOPLE ANSWERING THE PHONES.

I work for an attorney's office on the east coast and have had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with my share of California courts. Today and the past few weeks, I've worked on a case with a clerk named, Sonia Martinez. She has been by far the most helpful and polite clerk I've dealt with other than a few archive clerks. She was very patient and helpful in every way. It was nice not to get a rude, dead end response for once. I hope one of her superiors in the court will see this review and give her the praise she deserves.

The operator who took my call - I believe her name was Kate - literally hung up on me before I could finish asking my questions. After an hour waiting to get a call back the service you get is incredibly rude and plain inconsiderate.

Better off just showing up in person or waiting for them to call you. Their "automative" phone service refuses to let you talk to a real person so I've Nick named it hal9000. "I can't let you do that Arron." Or "I see you want to write a complaint. I can not let you do that Arron because all forms of complaint must be in writing and in person"

1 month later and still automotive. Please hire a front desk person to transfer calls. At least the DMV has that and I hate it there.

Their salary over people is all they care about. Serve we the people not the greed. Staff including judges take their special privileges for granted including their own bathroom and their freedom away from going by a metal detector. As citizens, we need to speak up fully legally within written laws and take action for them being accountable.

Lobbyists and specialists interests is what they care to side plus a huge shown conflict of interest. Parking is a hassle to pay up and no free parking at all nearby unless you want to walk far. A lot of us are paying our taxes that turned mainly wasted for their pay and benefits. Not much fairness at all. Just telling the true things about it.

One week later received a returned funds notice with a $45 penalty...which is wrong as my bank shown no attempts on the account and sufficient (30x) balance to cover...and NO ONE on the court side will take responsibility for their failed execution...when you cant trust the courts who can you trust

I wish that one day the Judges in family court would pay attention to some of the lawyers that are crooks and charlatan! It is mind boggling what they get away with and the way they charge their clients. Please pay attention!

I thought that some of the reviews were harsh. So I decided to give you five stars out of pity. Also this is a great county for doing a research project on, as I am right now. One question, Do they shoot orange is the new black in orange country? It would only make sense.

The main phone line does not connect you to anyone from the Clerk's office. What is the point of having a phone number. Impossible to get an answer regarding a specific question. Just cycles you back to their website. Ridiculous.

Can't even look up my case number on their website (and it's a public case, not private). Gave broadest date range, all fields correct, and nothing. It's broken. Can't get through to anyone on phone. So again, to ask one simple question I have to drive down there, pay parking fee, to ask one simple question because they don't have a live person on the phone.

In regards to my experience with jury duty at the Central Justice Center...

Follow the signs for where jurors need to park (Stadium parking structure). When you exit the parking structure and get to the street, turn right and walk about a block to the Central Justice Center building. I went the wrong way and ended up frustrated.

It is true that they don't start right on time at 7:45am. However, on my jury day, they did start orientation at 8:15am. If you miss the orientation, it's really no big deal as you can grab a brochure by the door to the jury lobby, and it will explain everything they went over in orientation.

Our morning started by them calling a "morning break" immediately after the orientation. It was for 30 minutes and we were free to go wherever we wanted during that 30 minutes. I grabbed breakfast in the cafeteria, which is right outside of the jury lobby.

The jury assembly hall is a HUGE waiting room with lots of tables and chairs. There are six monitors throughout the room for watching the orientation and also later they play TV shows and movies. The temperature is pretty comfortable for the most part. I brought a zip-up sweater and I was somewhat glad I did. You can watch TV, work on your laptop, and you can even take phone calls in the jury assembly hall, although you should try to speak quietly as not to disturb the people sitting next to you.

Shortly after our morning break, they made an announcement for all jurors to return to the jury lobby for an important announcement. So if you are in the cafeteria at that point or outside in the patio area (smokers go here), you can return easily because it's just a few steps away.

At 9:38am they started calling names for people who would need to report to various court rooms. The names are generated by random selection based on the jurors in attendance that day. They announce the names alphabetically, so you know when to specifically pay attention. They called names for three different court room assignments, and about 2/3 of the people in the jury assembly hall did get called and they all left to go to the courtrooms. I was not one of them. From there, they told the rest of us that we were on standby until another court room needed jurors. Being on standby simply means that you can go to the cafeteria, bathroom, etc, but you need to stay in the general vicinity of the juror assembly hall.

In the juror assembly hall, the tables on the perimeter of the room are the only ones that have power outlets on or near them. Some have a power strip / surge protector, so you can have multiple things plugged into it. If you end up with one of the mini-cubicles on the side walls, note that the outlet is buried deep within the desk, so if you have something with a large plug, it will not fit. Bring a short extension cord.

I experienced no problems with the WiFi at all and worked all day on my laptop.

By lunch time, there still weren't any courtrooms that needed jurors, so we were all excused for lunch. They gave us an hour and a half! I ended up walking to a Brazilian restaurant called Mil Jugos in downtown Santa Ana. It was about a 15-minute walk, so wear comfortable shoes if you're planning to leave the Civic building. I did not have comfortable shoes on and ended up getting blisters. :) Side note -- if you go to Mil Jugos, try the Arepas. It's like a corn-based "shell" or "bun" with meat inside. They serve it with delicious sauces in squeeze bottles. Pretty good!

If you don't want to go out for lunch, you can either bring your own or you can buy a hot meal from the cafeteria.

After lunch, they do take roll call, so don't try to sneak out early unless you have an ally covering for you. LOL

They ended up letting everyone go at 3pm. You then line up and get your certificate of attendance, in case you have a micromanaging boss and need to provide proof.

All in all, not so bad. Bring something to entertain yourself and pretend like you're about to jump on a plane that doesn't land for another 8 hours. And enjoy the day off work!

This review is to complement Judge J Dane in department C-46 only. It seems like in modern times, there is no longer any justice, nor a legal functioning system. However, the positive attitude and empathy of Judge Dane towards foreign and domestic citizens, goes beyond words.

During the court session, there were several cases regarding speed limit, license, insurance, etc. Throughout the session, Judge Dane, made everyone feel at ease. He even wanted to make sure to get everyone s name right. If an individual had more than one count, he tried to reduce the charges in a reasonable matter.

We truly need more Judges like Judge Dane. As the owner of a small veteran business it would have been detrimental to get charged with overweight. Though the officer didn t show up, I believe Judge Dane would have dropped our charges because we corrected the issue.

Once again this review is to only compliment Judge Dane.

Enjoyed my two days of jury duty here. They have a pretty good system. Try to jump on the first jury ask. I didn't like the fact that after they took us to the court they made us wait a good 1.5 hrs just to get into to see the judge. The whole experience was pretty awesome seeing how jurors are picked.

Good luck getting a person on the phone to answer any of your questions. I've spent the last 80 minutes calling 8 or 9 different phone #'s while either being put on hold for 20 minutes, transferred, or hung up on. Pathetic that no one can answer simple questions or at least point me in the right direction of which department/person to speak with. If you need help, do yourself a favor and just physically go into the office. When you're there in-person, the employees are actually fairly helpful. Calling is a waste of time.

I have a citation to appear. I go to the courthouse in Santa Ana and they can't make an appointment even though it specifically says you can. Worthless staff. I'd probably have got more done at the DMV. If you want to work in public service , maybe consider trying to actually serve the public.

What a terrible experience....
No signs saying where you need to be, they changed entrance to employee entrance only and it's like 7 blocks for disabled person...it was hell....then sent me to wrong place for civil stood in a line for 40 minutes and it was wrong line. I asked an employee why they don't have signs anywhere. The employee shrugged like he does not care. So now here 2 hours ...severe pain and line just to get into court is 1 hour. Thanks County of Orange. Way to be organized and help the citizens that need it. Jurors were standing in line too because there was no sign to go to front if you are a juror. No sign for anyone actually accept one that says employees only enter here

9/6/19 | FOR JURORS: STADIUM PARKING IS FREE ALL DAY with VALIDATION. HOLD ON TO YOUR PARKING CARD FOR VALIDATION ON FLOOR 3 IN THE JUROR ASSEMBLY ROOM. THEY BEGIN TO VALIDATE AFTER 12PM FOR JURORS.

BRING WATER & TRAVEL LIGHT. BRINGING A LUNCH BOX THAT EVERYTHING CAN FIT IN IS VERY CONVENIENT.

BE PREPARED TO SPEND A LOT OF TIME SITTING OR WALKING.

I BROUGHT MY NINTENDO SWITCH THAT HELPED ME PASS THE TIME.

BRING A PORTABLE CHARGER IF YOU PLAN ON BEING ON YOUR PHONE MOST OF THE TIME BEFORE COURT IS IN SESSION. THE CHARGERS THEY HAVE AVAILABLE ARE STATIONARY ONLY. FREE WIFI DID NOT WORK FOR ME DURING MY VISIT 9/4/19 - 9/5/19.

If your frugal bring your own lunch. Nearest fast food places are burger king, Jack in the Box, and a 7-11. These stores have established apps that you can access on your phone for quick deals on beverages and Food. Everything else is basically a mom and pop show that requires you to spend more than $5-$10 if your using your credit or debit.

The court runs itself, it has its own way of doing this. This required a lot of your time. BE PREPARED FOR YOURSELF

It's alarming to see how many homeless are camping here right at the entrance areas to the courthouse. It's sad, heartbreaking...but frustrating as well. When I was at the self help counter speaking to very professional and helpful employee behind the glass partition, a homeless woman was behind me yelling into her cell phone and making such a scene that I couldn't hear the information being given to me. Even the employee was noticeably disturbed by this. I can only imagine how difficult it is to deal with this type of inappropriate behavior on a daily basis.

Orange County, CA has one of the worst judicial systems and lack of funding equals lack of customer service. Filing anything in family court equals 2-6 hour waits. The clerks are idiots at best. Do your research and consult with a lawyer if you want to get it done right the first time. With that said the Judges are highly likely to ignore the law and evidence so do not expect any justice and do not get me started on the District Attorney in this county, apparently he doesn't believe in prosecuting crime and when they actually do they are very sloppy. I can't wait to leave this county and this state. Very corrupt county and blatantly racist. It's literally like living in the 1970's boy they need to wake up and catch up to the 21st Century. BTW the courts need to all be updated they are extremely old.

The problem with California homeless crises could be drastically reduced if this court stop appointing scheming policing for profit receivers such as Mark Adams from California Receivership Group. This receiver will make 1000 s homeless by unethically evicting tenants from their homes, apartments, or hotels all for profit to his pocket broke and careless about rehabilitations of alleged structures. Superior Court of California of county of Orange also should stop appointing Unethical Code enforcement lawyers Silver & Wright LLP A Current case in Costa Mesa shows that these lawyers fabricated false Code violation information along with Mark Adams of CRG All for profit meanwhile the tenants are purposely rendered homeless.

I mean, I understand why court houses get such bad reviews, but people should consider the budget cuts staff have dealt with in the past decade. Most clerk's are working with half the jobs unfilled. Despite this, staff here are polite and professional. Also, the judges here aren't as mean as they are at some other orange county court house locations.

I'm just trying to find out if certain attorney presented case in court in Santa Ana (any type of case). That information should be somewhere available. As it is however, there is nothing on line and the voice mails are not allowing to do this type of search. It should not be a secret what kind of cases (if any) a certain lawyer represented in court. The lawyer reviews on the web site such as AVVO.com look very suspicious. All five stars and very generic. How one can collect 150+ reviews in a matter of few years? What kind of cases do they represent? .Is anyone checking that those reviews are real and that they came from the clients of the lawyer? Anyone can get gmail email address and write reviews for their friends. Those who are enterprising might generate multiple of reviews by themselves. No checks are in place to prevent this from happening.
