They are so great at helping you find the right shoe!
They are so great at helping you find the right shoe!
The service here is outstanding. The return policy is awesome. Price are on the exspensive side.
Very helpful. They know how to get you into the proper shoe that fits your foot and type of exercise.
I purchased a pair of running shoes in July. Last week (3 months later) I noticed a small tear in the mesh, on the top of the toe area. I called today to ask if there was anything they could do, expecting them to say I was out of luck. Instead, they told me to bring them in. So, I brought them in and they gave me a brand new pair. Amazing customer service. Very helpful. When my wife and I originally purchased shoes (3 months ago) they worked with us for an hour, until we found the best shoes possible. From now on, I will purchase all my running apparel and shoes from this place. Totally worth it.
Met the owner at the Expo for the Seattle Marathon, in a building full of hundreds of runners, he took the time to fit my girl friend for insoles, to help with a foot injury that she was going to tough out for the race (about half an hour worth of fitting) He then told her to take the insoles and go outside and run and come back so he could adjust if needed. Really great service, and the best part, we finished the next day!
My mom had a little incident with a snafu on shoe exchange from the Redmond store and boy, is the owner ON IT. I hope I do the same for my customers!!!!! Super impressed with their level of customer service AND their fitting. There is not an equal (or even close) in the Seattle area! Thanks, Ty! You rock, my mom is super happy and relieved that she doesn't have to find another store! An impossible task!
Came here on a friend's recommendation. Robert had me try on several shoes, explained the science behind what he was looking for or at (I'm into the whole science thing) and after approximately 40 minutes we settled on a pair of shoes. He even threw on a 10% discount for no apparent reason. Way cool!
Super Jock n Jill, Greenlake location is supportive of runners and gives back time and time again to their community and runners/customers. Best locally owned store.
Great service. I've bought a couple pairs of running shoes here and each time the employees are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the selection.
Fantastic customer service every time I go. They truly work with you to find the perfect fit and are really attentive.
Best running store hands down! Super kind and knowledgable staff. They even were able to get me a new pair of shoes and inserts in the midst of the citywide shut down. Cannot recommend enough.
Super friendly accommodating staff set at getting you the perfect shoes. I walked out very happy with my purchase and excited to run.
Great selection and knowledge. Also like a museum with some cool famous runner paraphernalia.
Great staff and knowledgable. A bit expensive but the items and shoes are of good quality.
I have been here twice now over a few years, and both times have been fantastic. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and the return policy is forgiving. This last time my husband got shoes as well, and had just as good an experience as me. We live in Shoreline but will keep coming back here despite the parking woes! (Street parking is bad especially after 5, and the area is clogged with pedestrians, joggers, and cyclists. Take the bus if you can.)
The people are the difference here. Straight up pros and everyone is smart and either a former or current high level athlete.
Gotta love a local running store that has been around for as long as this place has, definitely a must go to for all your running needs - Western Washington University Cross Country & Track and Field runner
The employees at this store are wizards. The guy had me run in the first pair of shoes I tried on and assessed my stride and pointed out everything wrong with it (which I knew was accurate). From here, he recommended me various shoes to help negate with my horrible running form, which have helped quite a bit.
Really helped me pick out some shoes with good arches
Great experience here getting new shoes! My salesperson had great suggestions and was super patient til we found the right shoe, showed me a better way to lace up for my particular issue, and didn't laugh when I revealed how old my current shoes were! 100% will come back again.
They know how to treat their customers well. The welcoming, efficient, knowledgeable and POSITIVELY HAPPY staff makes you feel like a superstar! Great place to get running gear.
They're super helpful and really care about finding you the right shoe! I can't say how much I love this place. It has a great vibe and the people are super nice!
Favorite running shoe store and prefer this over Redmond location, because the people are always, always nice, in the years I've been going there. They're patient and kind on the phone and in person. And 99% of the time they have what I need! Also super helpful to be able to test the shoes right away outside before I buy. I even learned about my physical therapist (who's awesome) from a phone call to this store!
This store and its staff are AMAZING. Knowledgeable, professional, service oriented, and generous with handling special orders. I've been going to this store for years and can't say enough about them. A BIG THANKS.
Awesome as always. I've gotten shoes for Tough Mudder and the Rock n' Roll 1/2, here. This time, I need good shoes for lots of walking & standing at work. They got me fitted with Brooks Adrenaline model. It's exactly what I needed! Fantastic help every time!
This is a great running store. The employees are knowledgeable, there is a good variety of shoes and equipment, a fair return policy, and a pleasant location. My only complaint is that it can be a bit pricey (welcome to Seattle!).
This is my favorite place in the city to get running shoes/gear. They have a great selection and variety of shoes and styles. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I bought some new running shoes there a few weeks ago, but after a couple runs the fit wan't right so I popped in to exchange them. No questions asked and they were just as happy to get me a different size and make sure I was set. Highly recommend!
Went here on a recommendation from a friend while looking for a new pair of running shoes. The staff greeted me when I walked in and were happy to listen to my needs. After a quick discussion I was asked to jog quickly while they watched how I run. They then had me try about 5 different shoes side by side (all different brands) until I found the right one for me. Price was exactly what I expected to pay for a quality pair of shoes. Very happy and will be going back next time I need shoes or running apparel!
I never really took much care into shoes and I have started running again. Training for my first half marathon, I decided it was time I get a proper fitting with the right shoes. Robert was the gentleman that helped me. He took the time to understand any history of injuries and observed the way the run. Definitely is knowledgeable about how our feet works with the rest of the body. Very informative and gave me a great selection to try out to find the right invisible shoe. Thanks for the help!
Fun running store. Good people, Monday night runs are always fun.
I bought shoes at Jock and Jill in February of 2014. My friends love the place and I had been there multiple times with them. The staff is super friendly and they always tell you how if you have a problem with the shoes, you can always return them, the message being, "We stand by our product." When I bought my shoes, it was more than I had spent on a pair of running shoes before and so I asked the salesperson how long they should last. He told me that if I was a serious exerciser, (as in, a marathon trainee or someone who runs everyday) they should be replaced every six months. Otherwise, he said they might last up to a year. The sales representative told me repeatedly that with the amount I exercise, the shoes should last at least six months. After owning the shoes for less than five months, I started to experience foot pain again. Long story short, I went in to Jock and Jill twice soon after then. Both times, the representatives told me my shoes were "shot" or "thin" or "worn out" and should be replaced. Now, I am not a strong exerciser. When I am in an exercising mode, I exercise a few days a week, light jogging or at the gym. Sometimes in the last six months I went weeks without exercising. And yet the shoes didn't even last for six months. I asked the representatives about this and told them that I had bought the shoes under the impression that they should last well over six months, since only strong exercisers supposedly need to replace their shoes every six months. The sales representatives both times just came up with excuses for why the shoes may not have lasted even six months. They did not offer to replace the shoes or even give me a significant discount on their next pair. Their supposed "return policy" is a scam and they do not stand behind their products or their words. If you want to spend $120+ dollars on a pair of shoes and possibly have to replace them every four months, go ahead and go to Jock and Jill's. But when they tell you about how good their products are and how they have a great return policy, tune them out. They're lying to get a sale.
This is a specialty store that loves their community, loves putting on useful and fun events and supports their customers. Go to their injury screen night to get help with old injuries, pain or help the shoe buying process. You can also get to know the staff and local runners on their Monday night runs.
Very helpful service that found a few shoes based on my gait and let me try them on and jog up the hill with them. Prices are generally MSRP with a handful of clearance shoes around $90-110. Great return policy if the shoe doesn't work out. I highly recommend them if you want to find a good shoe!
The most helpful, experienced, and knowledgeable staff of any shoe store I have been to, ever. Staffed by real runners who know their stuff without being arrogant.
The staff were patient and friendly as I tried on (possibly too many) different styles of shoes--which included running up & down the block for a 'test run' with each new trial. I found a solid pair I wouldn't have otherwise chosen, had I not received the quality of service I did. I have had the shoes for a few months now and have put over 100 miles on them. Still so happy I went there.
Very rude staff! I will definitely not buy shoes here again.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Best place to get new running shoes
I've bought running shoes here quite a few times and I now think it is the only place I will buy running shoes in Seattle. Very helpful and welcoming staff.
I ve been buying my tennis shoes here for years and they have a wide range of products.
Went in on a really busy day, but was greeted immediately and had help selecting shoes within a few minutes. Unlike alot of their customers who might get shoes just for exercise or after work, I need everyday shoes with strong support. Matt helped me find what I needed quickly, even locating a deal that allowed me to save enough to get two pair - one for work and one for home. Really great experience, thanks y'all!
Friendly staff, not as big of a selection as some other stores, but I'd definitely check it out if you're in the area.
No matter when I go here, I get immediate assistance that is friendly, professional and super helpful. I'm not a runner but I know that keeping my feet well supported is a key to a healthy body (They're like your foundation!) and I trust this place to keep mine taken care of at a level that online sellers just can't compete with!
Excellent store. I've been getting my shoes here for years. Their customer service is unparalleled. Year after year, they've helped me pick out the best shoe for my current form and injuries. They even had physical therapists once a month come in and examine runners for weaknesses and injuries, and give exercise recommendations for free. During one of those times, a physical therapist spent over an hour picking out the right shoe for me. A year later, I still use her recommended exercises during warm up and cool down.
The sales boy Hans was recommended to me by a close friend, and he did not disappoint. I wish I could rate this 6 stars, it's almost like he could read my mind with his shoe-selecting abilities. I guess you could call him my sole-mate!
Super Jock n'Jill is an institution at Greenlake. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the owners very passionate about providing the best shoe for the customer. You can always go for a quick run with the shoes and they even have shoe/running product vendors come in and have demos of their products.
This place is great. The staff is friendly and found me a great pair of shoes at an affordable price quickly. It is also dog friendly so you can bring in your furry friend (so if you're allergic beware)! Plus they do community activities, when I went there they gave me a discount for being a student in the local area and had pizza out.
Just go. Expert advice for hard core running shoes. Gleefully allow you to run around the block and ready to provide advice on your feedback loop. Weeks to return if they don't work. Stopped carrying the shoes I had because 180 was too expensive. New pair for 120 and seem just as good.
Nothing but good things to say. Great team, super helpful and nice, awesome selection. Way to go!
Very interesting method of shoe selection, guaranteed to get you the best shoe for you every time.
Ben was super knowledgeable and helped me find a great pair of running shoes. I'm new to running so didn't really know where to start. He analyzed my gait and selected the appropriate shoes for me. I did multiple test runs and we narrowed it down to the perfect pair. I'd highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for new gear.
Great store to get fitted for running shoes. They also have a great selection of running clothes, socks, and food.
Was greeted right away, offered suggestions, pricing was fair. Great experience.
Very helpful. I was allowed to try shoes that an employee thought worked well with my stride. By try, I mean go outside for a jog up and back down a city block. Prices are fair, and well worth it after the customer service experience. Will go back the next time I need a new pair of running shoes.
Upon walking into the store on a busy Saturday afternoon, I thought that I would have to wait awhile to be helped, and that the help would be subpar. However, I immediately was greeted and received very attentive and superb customer service. I was impressed with the employee's knowledge, attentiveness, and general friendliness. The store has a wide variety of products, excellent service, student discounts, and a truly amazing return policy. I can highly recommend Super Jock 'n Jill to any other runner.
Super Jock & Jill is a small family owned business dedicated to being the best running stores! And they really are! I highly recommend buying all your shoes and running gear there! They also give back to the community as sponsors of local races, and hosting runs etc. They give back to the local community in ways the "big" sports stores won't.
Amazing service. Super knowledgeable and helpful with low pressure.
They took the time to really make sure I had the right shoe. Outstanding service.
I worked with the owner, Chet. I got the most help I've ever gotten finding appropriate shoes for what I'm doing. He was informative and gave my training advice, which I greatly appreciated. Good sense of humor and authority without ego. I was helped, not sold.
If I lived in Green Lake this would be my favorite running store.
They've been hosting training runs for the Jingle Bell Run for the last few weeks. Well, more so letting us slow-coaches gate crash. It's a helpful store of runners, who organize nights to showcase products (tonight for Gortex), and facilitate community. Being on the lake helps too.
Tonight was my first purchase, but I never felt out of place running with them before that. I walked in dripping wet and asked to try a running cap on. They let me, I bought it.
I always find my perfect fit here with the help of the great staff!
Great service and knowledge. The best place to buy shoes.
Awesome! I had to return a pair of shoes and the staff was so helpful. I tried on 5 more pairs and found the most amazing Sauconys. Customer for life! Thank you guys, keep up the stellar work you do.
New runner.. don't know why I didn't come here sooner! This is an incredible expert-run small business that made me feel welcomed as soon as I set foot inside (even though I had no idea what I really wanted, except that it should fit and not be totally soaked in the rain). They had me run around in shoes, checked my form, gait, and any imbalances. They also gave me some free synthetic socks to keep my feet dry. Thank you Robert, and Super Jock 'n Jill!!
It was the only place I could find with volleyball shoes. Apparently only the owner knows anything about volleyball shoes, and he wasn't there. They had two kinds, one fit, one didn't.
They watched me walk and jog and fitted me for running shoes. Even had me run outside a few times trying on each shoe. I went it a week ago and the shoe felt tight after about 2 miles and they easily refitted me for new shoes again and were super knowledgeable each time!
Considering how crazy busy this place was when we went there on the weekend I was afraid we would be there forever waiting for someone to help us. However it seems they have plenty of staff on hand and we were helped right away. If you're looking for a good running or walking shoes or if you're looking for shoes with extravagant colors this is definitely a good place to go. They are not cheap repeat again they are not cheap. Parking is a bit crazy, but considering their location that is to be expected.
I've always driven by this store, and it popped into my head when my knees started hurting from running in cross trainers. I found an excellent store that had both prices to match amazon and customer service you can't get over the internet. I found out how important it is to try before you buy your running shoes. Online product reviews can't tell you how they will feel on your feet!
Phil at the Greenlake location really set me up good. He immediately offered me help, which was much appreciated with my lack of knowledge. He watched me walk and then jog across the store to observe how my feet hit the ground, then instantly got three or four sets meant for my gait for me to try on. He had me matched up with the perfect set (specifically recommended it over the more expensive pair) after less than 15 minutes of his undivided attention. He even gave me a discount to boot!
Been buying shoes from them for the last 4.5 years. No reason to change. If u r mildly serious about fitness then spend money on your shoes and buy your shoes from this store.
Easy place to pick up 5k packets. Highly recommend dropping by before a race instead of picking up morning of.
The staff here know their shoes (they have all the major brands and models, including the famous Vaporfly that everyone is so crazy about) and I like that they focus on helping you choose shoes that just feel right to you rather than doing lots of gimmicky tests and stuff. They also have a really great satisfaction guarantee-- they just want you to be happy with your shoe choice and you can bring them back within a month or so if you don't like what you bought. No parking here, so come here when you have a good reserve of patience. They have lots of other running gear and apparel besides shoes as well-- a nice selection that I could have spent a lot of money on if I hadn't just bought shoes!
Best place to get expensive shoes especially when you have bad foot problems my foot doctor recommended them for shoesI've had bunion surgery on one soon to be both feet and they're the only things I can where and don't hurt my feet
Competent staff. They took a lot of time to look at my specific needs and did not try to upsell me. I'll definitely come back to this store.
Great customer service. They take the time to make sure you buy the right running shoes for you.
THE place to buy your running shoes. They look how you run and suggest shoes based on that. You can then run around the block to test out the different shoes.
This place is magical! To start off, they let you return shoes if it turns out you don't like them. They let you try on 2 shoes at a time (which I think makes it much easier to decide which one feels better). They also assess your gait and seem to know a lot about shoes and running. I am a 3-4 time/week greenlake runner and I have purchased all my shoes for the past 3 years here. Very happy with their service and return policy.
Knowledgeable but not pretentious staff. I broke the charger for my garmin that I bought from them and went back in to check if I could buy a new one. They didn't have it, but offered to purchase one for me online and give it to me free of charge. That's service. I have been to many many running stores and this one may be the best.
I've had my same running shoes for over three years (awful, I know) and when it finally came time to get a new pair, I had heard so many good things about this place that there was nowhere else I considered going. Absolutely the best staff any store could have! Kian helped me for almost an hour to help me find a proper shoe and insole so that I could start running again without knee and shin pain, and he was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and upbeat throughout the whole process. Huge selection of shoes and other gear- here there's definitely something for everyone, and great people to help you find what you need. Absolutely, 100% recommend!
Very knowledgeable staff, friendly and helpful. Not only a great shop to get your gear, but also to get some local insight on running in Seattle.
Very helpful sales people. Good clean store with plenty of selection.
Best place to buy shoes, staff is really friendly and understand s your need and give good suggestions
The moment you walk into this store, someone is there to help. An associate will watch your running style and recommend shoes for the best fit possible.
This is a running shop that not only knows running shoes, but also delivers great customer service.
I went in today to get fitted for shoes since the Hoka Rincons I bought online two months ago are causing pain in my foot. I am not sure who I was seen by but they were very nice and I enjoyed my visit. I was able to get all of my questions answered and after trying several pairs of shoes up and down the hill near the store I walked away with a new pair of brooks.
This is definitely the place I will be buying running shoes from now on.
Great selection of shoes and clothing both in store or free shipping to your house. With VIP they usually have the best prices nearby.
Great shoes. Great staff. I had the best experience with the sales boy Hans. 10/10
