Dock hands were great, but that pretty much ends my good points about this place. The environment seems good, however service was terrible. We came by boat, and with our dog. We were told the dog could be in the beach bar area until 7, which is cool and the reason they got a second star. I asked if we could order the food to go so we could eat with our dog on the boat since there was very little seating in the bar area that was already taken. Although they don't have to go food (understandable) the bar tender offered to place our order in a to go box when it arrived. After I ordered our two wraps, and closed my tab with a nice tip since he was willing to cater to our needs, the bartender became very rude. He told me that he had nowhere to place our food when it came and that I would have to stand at the bar until it came, which I reluctantly did. After waiting for awhile, it became 7 and my girlfriend and dog had to go wait on the boat. I had to use the restroom and left for no more than 1-2 mins. When I returned the bartender literally tossed our two plates across the bar at me (surprised they didn't break when they slammed down), threw two boxes on top of the food, and shouted "I told you not to leave." Based mostly on the bartender (who unfortunately got a good tip) and the overly crowded bar and slow service, we will likely never return.

The food tastes good. The view is nice. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. The only reason that we don't like about this place is they charge $5 per person CASH ONLY cover charge to get into the restaurant. It does not make any sense. I have been in many restaurants with good food and good view but none of them charge us any cover charge, this is the only place charge us the cover charge, cash only! Not many ppl carry cash around. Many ppl walked away because of this cover charge. I don't know if Covid has anything done with the cover charge at all base on the menu they said "due to covid, we have changed our policy". Also 18% gratitude auto-added to the check when checking out also.

Lots of rules. Like it's intimidating at first.

Lots of rules. Like it's intimidating at first.
$10 min credit charge, $50 temporary hold on the card if you have a tab open. Then you can only stay at a table for 2 hours and you need to know exactly how many people will be at your table because you aren't allowed to move chairs. You also need %80 of your party there in order to be seated...which doesn't work when you show up early to get everyone a table.
Come after 8 and it's a $5 cash only cover charge, but there is an ATM there so you can get cash out, not sure if that charges a fee. So get there before 8pm.
So other than the rules, the food ain't bad. $10 for bacon cheese fries with a scattering of bacon. The top was crispy and great but it was wet fry land underneath, like soggy fries. The crab dip version looked better. The entrees were good, the shrimp skewers looked really good.
As for drinks, they were good. Fish bowls and crushes were good picks for our table. So we were still able to have a good time.
We sat in the lounge, a kind of seat and serve yourself area where you order everything at the bar but they actually did bring us our food over which was very nice. We had 2 tables worth of people and when we asked if we could move the tables together, the guy who worked there said, "Yeah, probably." We managed it and it worked fine.
Only other thing...was since we sat outside by the water, every now and then you'd get a really gross dirty harbor water smell...sort of like raw sewage. A few of our group were really bothered by it, the rest of us were like well... you're sitting by the water.
Live music was good and there was a surprising number of older people there, 40+ but we were there 6-9 so before the VSCO girls started showing up.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to SC. The sun, sand and breezes coupled with the tropical style decor created a cozy and addicting imbiance. The servers were welcomimg, pleasant and efficient and the dishes were both fresh and uniquely delicious. The rums in the rum drinks were barely discernable but tasty none the less. Kudos to the management one and all. We truly look forward to returning with friends and family.

I was here on a Wednesday and half expected it to be dead... but it wasn't! It has a great beachy vibe if you sit outside and I have no complaints about the service. Food and cocktails are average to good. No complaints, but a 5 star rating is reserved for places that blow me away.

This is a different type restaurant, mainly outside seating. It's on the water with lots of beautiful boats you can look at. The food was good the service was good I thought it was a little bit expensive

Count your drinks and check your tab. The bartender at the tiki hut attempted to charge us for 2 extra drinks and when challenged he said we were trying to cheat him! Nice try buddy; we might be old but we're not stupid. Isn't that why you have a security camera? Our check was adjusted, but it was not willingly done.

Wow, what a nice place! Great music, great food, great service, everything is great! I usually try to find at least one negative when I do these reviews but I honestly can not find one at Sunset Cove. Located right on the water, you can even take/ dock your boat there, but if you don't have a boat (like me) there is plenty of parking. Whenever I've been on the weekends they actually have a crew directing traffic/ parking to keep things moving smooth and safe. Oh and speaking of safe, they have security on the premises just in case they're needed. All in all, this place is great, if you've never been, go check it out!

Busy Bar on the water. Good service and atmosphere. Food has improved over the last couple of years. Place is jamming on Friday/ Saturday Nights. Live music. Tiki Bar and Beach. The waitress Renee was excellent. Great personality and attentive service. Fun atmosphere with quality dining at reasonable prices.

Went on a Sunday before labor day. the ambient was pretty. reserve a table in advance. I tried to reserve a table the day before and they were all booked. they charge for cover fee of 5$ to get in. they told us the wait time for a table for 2 is 1hr/45min which we were called before an hr which was good. we got 2 mojitos and what made me give them a low score is because they automatically include a 8% gratuity to all drinks. plus my drinks tasted straight up juice and water. we ordered a steak and a seafood pasta. the menu says everything is made fresh and ready to go and that you can not send back or take any food off your check. i thought the food would be great but it was terrible. we asked for medium well steak and the steak was cold in the inside, bloody, and tough. my pasta was straight up butter and greasy with no seasoning, just the taste of butter. the worst part was that we could not send it back and get a refund due to their policy of "covid". it seems like they were trying to make as much money by implementing this policy of no plates back. i felt ripped off.

Nice place Monday to Thursday and during the winter. The food is really good but drinks are priced high for the area. Every weekend from spring until fall the Place turns into a Jersey Shore casting call filled with trouble and fights. If you want to see trash at its best go there Friday to Sunday when the weather is nice, it's like an episode of Jerry Springer.

Good luck Even getting service on a prime day.

The food is decent but overpriced. The ambience is great, the ground is covered in sand. It's decent to sit down and eat there but, in my opinion, it is a far better experience if you are there for the bar than solely to dine.

We came on a weekday night in August at 7:30, and there were a few tables readily available next to the water, and we didn't have to wait which was nice. Everything was great - the service, the live music, the atmosphere, and the food. It was memorable, mostly because of the ambiance! Also, it's a great place to bring kids.

Just a great place to enjoy the bay. If you're looking for quiet, however, this isn't your pick. There's almost always a band when the place is open. But right next to Maryland Marina where you can tie up overnight. (Reservation!) There is a really neat area with outdoor couches and a fireplace and some areas appear pet-friendly. High marks. The food is great... especially the salads!

Fun vibe and atmosphere. If you have a boat you can float right on up. Otherwise kind of hidden away. Alot of seafood options for food kind of pricey but paying mainly for the location. Big fishbowl drinks. Very hard to get an Uber to come pick you up from middle of nowhere! One time we had to beg the bartender to drive us home after he got off and we paid him he was very nice about it!!!

Food & drinks were amazing! Our waitress sucked, she took my food away without asking me... I wasn t even close to being finished. I told her & she just said sorry, didnt ask if I wanted another one and STILL CHARGED 8$ on the bill for it!! 8$ for a meal I didn t even eat! There went her tip, smh teach these people manners.

First they made us pay a $5 cover for live music that never happened. Our order took entirely too long. The food was good. They did not have Covid menus. They used traditional plastic covered menus which is not compliant with cdc rules. We went there for lunch. I could see a $5 cash cover if it were evening or night.

Went today..$5 Cover (cash only)..the live band was AWESOME! The seats I sat in were in the sand like at a beach..you are by the water- really nice set up. The food was absolutely delicious! My drink was blah..I only had a mojito & it was not good. But, I will be back!

Never go on the weekend if you actually plan to dine. There was a $5 cover charge that no one could explain. There was a 3 hour wait yet four tables open. They seemed only interested in serving drinkers. Lots of bouncers/security there. Try a weekday for dining.
