Played in the Rusch adult basketball Sunday league. Competition was fun. Court and park was in great shape.

Best public pickleball facility we have been to all over California!!

The new playground at Rusch is so cool, my daughter loves it! The old playground was VERY outdated and was surrounded by sand. This one has a bouncy material that surrounds it, which makes it feel very safe. The playground itself is quite large and has cool features that I haven't seen before at other parks. Going to have a hard time getting my child to leave lol!

Rusch park is great. Its a great family environment. Nobody is gonna force u squares or beg u to b part of the COOL population. Dont hate evaluate ! Hoooray for not being a lame and stuk in a box with no happiness.

The first time my family went there for a picnic, we felt a little uncomfortable with the amount of homeless people congregating nearby. It appears the city had made some improvements but I'm not really willing to go back does anything other than walking the dog.

Definitely not a professional, friendly or caring bunch working here. Make sure you have them put EVERYTHING you discuss via phone in writing, or you'll get screwed. Good luck!

New to the area and I am thoroughly impressed with this park district. Staff is friendly and very helpful. I was very surprised with the large number of programs and activities offered. My son is in the Junior Kings basketball league and is having a great time! I have read some of the negative reviews regarding the homeless and to be honest I have to say that I have not found this to be a problem at all. No more homeless then at any other park of this size that we have been to in California. Plus this is a city issue, don't blame the Park District. Keep up the great work Sunrise!

Firestone Park is kept exceptionally clean, and there is a good neighborhood feeling there. We also use Tetotom Park for walking, but not as much. We like that teams of children can use it and the turnout of parents is great. We are fortunate to live in this neighborhood!!

My daughter's 2nd party was scheduled on Saturday March 5th- Naturally it rained so we had to relocate elsewhere. I called Friday before the party to cancel because I knew it was going to rain, and they told me to call back Wednesday after the scheduled date. But no one specified it had to be ON Wednesday only. So when I called on Monday to get my refund they would not give it to me. They'll do whatever they can to keep your money and screw you over!

This is an average Community Park except that it has a great skate park. Lots of activities during the summer for kids.

We need more rec centers and leagues that actually are all about the kids! Thankful, my kids have, the last 2 years, been put with a nice young lady as a coach who is fun and positive and goes above and beyond for her team. Though, it s this place who allows harm to our kids by allowing another team ( who is a travel team) to play in the league as their practices games. The lady Coach Sandy, is always being kicked out. Her parents are full of severe foul behavior. And, today, I have to witness it again. This time with a lady who helps the team, that was out of coach behavior, the kids punching, and parents so rude. Enough is enough! The league is more than aware; although, more concerned to allow it for extra money than not allow it for the safety and sportsmanship of these little kids!!! Not to be blunt, but I sure hope this league drug tests! By the looks and behavior persona of the coach today, they don t!

No professionalism and severe lack of communication. My 4 year old was bullied in one of their programs, one employee stated to me a couple of things that made me more concerned on a day her boss wasnt working. The program instructor wanted to communicate with me so I did via email. One response was all I got, because my child was bullied by a few kids and I am a concerned parent who explained what happened in that email, the instructor got all up and offensive so asked for backup to attend the last class. When i didn't receive a follow up call the morning after class like I was promised I called in myself and talked to the employee mentioned aboves boss (the one who was off the day I called to report what was going on) who claimed his employee who told me a couple of troubling things did not say those things (basically calling me a liar) and sunrise parks and rec stand behind their employees and instructors. So let me get this straight, my 4 year old got bullied quite a few times in a program, as a concerned parent I express concern, the employees only protect and have their employee and instructors back and the parent only repeats to a supervisor what one of their employees stated and it's emplied im a liar? WOW. Also the head of the office stated to me he would contact the instructor to reach out to me. I have yet to hear from her. So again, and as said in other reviews there is a lack of professionalism and communication, they will take your money, set no rules beforehand, only watch out for their employees, and not communicate very well AT ALL with you when there is a serious incident. I would rather go elsewhere/travel out more/and pay more then to EVER put my child through one of their programs ever again.

Great place for a swimming, playing sport and picnic. bathrooms are okay and plenty of parking.

Recently visited the new playground at Rusch Park. Thoroughly enjoyed by the children and beautifully done. This is a community gem.
