Although I'm having to take a break from skiing to an accident (not skiing), I very much look forward to getting back to SR next winter. Great community of people and you just have to know how to time when you want to ski to avoid the lines.

My experience with making lodging reservations on Cyber Monday was POOR at best advertised price 59.00 bait and switch for Dec. 20 21 22 I ended up with 77.00 after 45min on hold twice!!! not fun A BUMMED SKIIER
Steve Micelotti is probably one of the most arrogant people I have ever met. the only thing he taught me was as a ski instructor was how much I hated skiing . he spent half his time hitting on a girl in class that couldn't have been older then 14 years old .
Went there with a friend to snowboard. Friendly workers. Maps for the trails everywhere. The food was good. Was sad that not all the lifts were running but almost the whole mountain was open otherwise
Amazing skiing even though not all the trails were open yet. Conditions were great for the trails that were open. Not very busy so we got a lot of runs in. Fantastic trails and views. The staff could perk up a little bit. Seems grouchy and not really caring at all. We were late for a lesson because the rental staff was taking their sweet time and guys were taking a coffee break just as the rental shop opened up... kind of weird. No one knew how to connect to wifi and overall did not care when we asked them for directions to trails and facilities. Aside from the staff the skiing was great.
The cafeteria is ok, with typical dry pizza and cafeteria food.. the restaurant upstairs is much better
The Foggy Goggle bar is a really nice restaurant and bar with a patio looking over the mountain. Really busy place but the staff is very good, friendly and fast. The bloody marys were awesome and local beer is very good. Also the food is surprisingly good. Lots of choices and very very tasty. Live music, good atmosphere... great spot to take a rest and refuel between runs.
One of the best ski mountains on the way coast. When it has snow there is nowhere else I want to ski. The glades here are awesome. I love the expert trails but they have a good selection of terrain for all abilities
Unfortunately I'm only a courier and have a stop here,I've never been on a set of ski's in my life...lol. There does seem to be an abundance of fine dining areas, small shops and medical dispensaries in the area. and the scenery is pretty good as well
Facility and lodging are nice. Ski in and ski out is a big plus. Signage on the mountain could be better, that's the price you pay for having so many peaks (8) and trails.
this place is awesome.they have eight mountains,5 terrain parks, and 15 lifts.what is also awesome is that they have slopeside hotels and condos.my favorite is th jordan hotel on jordan bowl.no matter where you go or what mountain you go on,you will agree with them #happyplacefound :)
One of my favorite places to snowboard. You can ride all day and never hit the same trail twice! They take good care of everything. My only complaint is it s a little too expensive. The food has improved a lot aver the years and the beer selection is great too.
We have been skiing Sunday River for 4 years now and we could not be happier with the entire experience. There is an unbelievable variety of terrain (135+ trails), few lines (except on holiday weekends) and spectacular snow making capabilities (when mother nature fails us). The ski school is taught by top notch professionals who really care about you enjoying and learning the sport. Our two girls are on the Gould Academy weekend ski team and have become very confident competitive skiers. The regulars we have met are avid skiers, down to earth and really just welcoming, going out of their way to help whenever they can. There are many new restaurants, boutiques, services (even a movie theater) expanding in the area which makes the non-ski time most enjoyable as well. I highly recommend Sunday River - just don't tell too many people about it!
I was up there this pass Saturday , I don't ski so I like taking photos of the scenery etc..My buddy volunteer up there any way I parked my car and got on the shuttle bus to take me to barker Mt. I started to get tired so I headed back down to get the shuttle bus, had the same guy mark nice guy, the next shuttle bus was same woman who brought me from parking , I get off the bus and started to look for my car, I couldn't find it, I have copd.and have trouble breathing so this nice woman a shuttle bus driver called public safety the gentleman took me around looking for my car almost and hour ,finally found my car..The staff at Sunday river are awesome, A+++ in my books , thank you all for your help..amen..
Went on a day that some of my friends described as the worst conditions ever. Very icy, windy, etc. Not a lot they can do to control that. This was my first ski day ever so I took a lesson and that did not go well. There was very little time spent on ensuring that we had the right sized gear or that everything was working properly. I had big problems turning. The instructor decided this was because I had to learn things my own way and left me on the bunny hill all day while he took the others up on a normal lift. I suggested to another instructor that my boots were too big (I couldn't get them tight) and he didn't seem to care. Instead he just kept telling me to lean forward. Eventually he just left me and I went back to the place you get your gear and talked to another instructor about my boots. That person said "yes! There's no way you can do anything in those" so I got a different size (later found out my boots were 2 sizes too big which apparently is a big deal for skis). Why they didn't just have us use the foot sizing devices I found hanging on the wall, I don't know. This change made it much easier to turn except I still had troubles turning left. I think my binding was loose but eventually I just gave up and went inside. Expensive way to determine I don't like skiing very much and would never take a lesson there again.
I've skied Sunday River multiple times and absolutely love it! The slopes are fantastic, you get a nice sized mountain without the crowds that some of the bigger resorts attract. Looking forward to my return trip!
The mountain is beautiful and the hotel is really cute. The rooms with their small kitchen and couches make you feel like you're in a small cabin. The restaurant is great for drinks although quite pricey for food. Overall a nice place to stay, especially with such a fantastic mountain at your doorstep!
Great trails and well groomed. This is a huge resort. Customer service is certainly not their strong point. Staff conveys the feeling that they really don't care.
Best Gluten free friendly food I have ever had! Awesome customer service. Delightful location, enjoyed my LL Bean SUP lesson. Great place to convene, never been to a more comfortable conference location.
The resort is a lot of fun and the staff are very friendly. And they have a very reasonable policy if you buy tickets ahead of time and need to move it to another day. They have a wife variety of terrain so the beginner and the expert skier will both have fun at the mountain.
I think this is pretty good ski mountain in Maine. Variety of runs with different levels of difficulty, groomed runs, moguls, free rides, snowboard park... Lifts are pretty conformable. At least two options of food up in the mountain. Everything well marked and closely watched by ski patrol. Buy your tickets ahead, you'll save a couple bucks.
Best snowmaking in the east! Best freeriding in my area. Unfortunately can't do 5 stars becuase their parks need work and it's definitely a "skier" mountain.
Went once and drove back again 8 days later for a week. That's saying something considering the drive was 10 1/2 hours for us. Good staff, great hill and excellent value. Enjoyed the trip.
