Good service, aging infrastructure: you can smell the carpets, squeaky bed, dated fixtures, little sound proofing, hot water doesn't stay hot long in the shower, no control over thermostat, and generally just very late 80's feel.

The staff was a pleasure to work with and you can't beat the shuttle service and ski lifts out the back door. While I enjoyed the trip, the resort is really just average.

Superb mountain course. Bring your A game, can play very difficult, especially from the back tees. Tee it forward for fun. Bunkers are like Agusta National. Greens and fairways were good for mid June. Winters do a job on the grass but the maintenance crew is getting it into great shape.

I have stayed at this resort several times in the past ten years with my latest return after four years away. Wow. While the mountain is still a great place to ski...it's the lodging and meals value that is so incredibly poor. We began with a $386 room (BTW ignore the online pictures of the rooms, they are different) with a small kitchenette and a pull down bed. My college dorm room was better. After we returned to the front desk twice to get properly charged door keys, we discovered that our room was dirty...as in not vacuumed or even wiped down. Gross. The second room had door key problems too, but was clean, as least. The dinner wait staff was terse and clearly didn't like their jobs...$89 for two hamburgers, two drinks and a kid's french fries. Hey, I get it that ski resorts are catering to a transient population of tourists, but at least treat us like we matter. Lastly, the "included" breakfast (which I was still charged separately for) only works when the line out the restaurant door and through the lobby allows you to wait 20 -30 minutes for a Day's Inn type buffet breakfast at a $40 per plate value. They don't let you just stop in to grab a bagel...you have to be checked in and seated, which takes about an hour as you're trying to get out to the mountain. I'll cling to my memories of better times at this mountain and maybe give it one more shot, but you can bet I'll really be paying attention to what I'm getting for my money and look at Sugarloaf of Waterville Valley.

Sunday River is a great family filled resort. With the most peaks in the East, the mountain has plenty terrain for all abilities. I learned how to snowboard at this mountain and quickly transitioned from greens to blues and blacks. White heat is personally one of my favorites trails. Then after the slopes, we tend to hit up Foggy Goggle for live music (and a little bit overpriced bar food) but my favorite apres ski is the less crowded Phoenix. I would like to see college pass prices for adults to make the drive a little more economically friendly.

Great Skiing!! Service in the rental area was on par, nothing special. Snow conditions were great for a Saturday afternoon. I wish the bunny hill was closer to make it easier for teaching my young nephew.

Amazing place to stay a little pricy but has a nice pool and the rooms can sleep up to six people. The skiing is phenomenal with seven peaks and great things for beginners and pros. They shoot fireworks occasionally which are very fun to watch. I recommend going here at least once to have a nice vacation.

Great place to ski. One of the few places to ski in New England that can handle a large crowd. There is a wide variety of terrian for all abilities. Snow conditions are fairly reliable. Plenty of on mountain option for food and drink.

We're here for the Trek Across Maine event and our room is at the Snowcap Inn. I am sad to say that the room had not been dusted or vacuumed. The toilet was plugged before we even used it. There is no elevator. We had to schlep our stuff down over the stairs to the basement room that we were in. Not very pleasant accommodations. I would not recommend staying here. We don't even want to try and guess what the sticky stuff is on the carpet.

Didn't stay at the resort, but skied all day. I like that there is on mountain lodges so that you can stop and grab a bite up on the mountain instead of just at the base lodges. Huge ski area with varied terrain. Was a little worries that it was going to be overwhelmingly large and we'd spend a lot of the day choosing where to go and ending up places we didn't want to be, but it was actually quite easy to find your way around and traverse the different peaks. The chondola is awesome! Only complaint would be that there were several lifts that weren't running, but the mountain claimed to be 100% open. I'm guessing maybe it was because it was a Monday and they don't run all the lifts, but that was kind of annoying because we'd plan to go up a lift and then realize it wasn't running. Overall, great experience though!

My first time here. Great grooming and conditions. I had just came from skiing in NH for 2 days and you can't compare. The size is almost overwhelming. Every staff member I came across was friendly and attentive.
