So, it's a beautiful and large mountain, but as an Ikon pass holder there is not signage on what to do regarding tickets. Made for a really awkward lift moment. Otherwise the lift operators were great and staff was helpful.

Many amazing trails & the best grooming in the east (have been coming to Sunday River for 40 years). Most hotel & ski staff are helpful & friendly BUT we are EXTREMELY disappointed that Boyne has turned this wonderful "happy place" into a place where "price gouging" is commonplace. If you have kids & are stuck coming on a school vacation week (or any other "holiday" weekend), expect to wait 1.2 hours for your cold $23 hamburger (at Camp). And 5 hour ski school for your kids will now cost you $180 A DAY per child, not including the ski rental. Huh? This is now more than a (long) day pass at Disney World. We've enjoyed it here for 40 years but even the lodging pricing has gotten ridiculous for dated rooms where the heating system doesn't even work & you're lucky if your room gets cleaned every couple of days (Grand Summit). If Boyne wants to constantly (year over year) raise pricing to more than New York city rates, then you need to step up your quality and service and consider that your unreasonable pricing will start to turn people away.

Little pricey for how much was shut down but they did great with the conditions of the weather. Trails were icy but that's on mother nature. Great riding overall. Beer prices gotta come down though. $6.50 for a budlight? Sugarloaf only charged me $5 for 16oz and that's still too much. Time to get real.

Got an adventure pass and could ride the gondola, twin zip line, rock climbing and bungee trampoline. They also had mountain bike riding, disc golf and hiking trails but we didn't do those. Later back atmosphere.

I looked forward to skiing Sunday River when I came to ski with a friend from Augusta. We skied for several hours on a warm Friday. Thank God I rented some fatter skis for the spring conditions. It allowed me to enjoy to large variety of terrain. I will definitely be putting Sunday River on my yearly rounds.

My wife and I got a 1 bedroom suite that we felt was WAY over priced but went with it having high expectations. Well in our room we found our appliances were older than we were (we're in our 30s). The window in the bedroom would not even close all the way. We were also disappointed to find out the pool/hot tub area closed at 10pm being a Saturday night. Around 955pm we went into the camp restaurant for some drinks and food, not knowing they stopped the kitchen at 10 (being a Saturday night). We sat there for near 15 minutes being completely ignored before my wife went and stopped a waitress asking for drinks...her immediate response was "oh, we thought you guys wanted food and the kitchen is closed". So that's a reason to ignore us!? And yes, we did want food and was in there before the kitchen closed but they refused to take any order because now that we finally went out of our way to get someone's attention it was now after 10pm. Also we continued to watch them bring food out of the kitchen all the way up to 1035pm. I asked the guys at the front desk about food in the area and they had no knowledge of the surrounding area to help at all. Also proceeded to let me know that the vending machine was broken as well. Never been to a resort that didn't have a little eatery in it that was available 24/7. In the morning we went there for our complimentary breakfast and first our table was dirty we were seated at. Second I asked for a drink and it NEVER came even after I asked for it 3 more times! Third we had no silverware after we grabbed our breakfast from the buffet and asked twice for them, finally my wife went and raided the waitress station not only for our table BUT the table next to us was waiting for theirs as well almost as long as we were. Would not recommend as you will over pay and receive under service.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm born and raised a Sugarloafer, but that doesn't mean that this mountain doesn't have it's merits! The snowmakers have been killing it this year! Working their tails off for some truly excellent early season skiing. Definitely looking forward to the rest of the mountain opening up soon!

Always love snowboarding at the river, have also been going up to the Red Bull Frozen Rush for the past few years. They always put on a great show and the Sunday River crew in conjunction with Redbull people always setup and plan very well. Enjoy all aspects of the Sunday river experience.

We didn't stay overnight at the resort. However had a great time skiing there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The trails (69 open), the greens/blues we went on were a bit icy after the previous day's heavy rain but overall the conditions were not bad. The food court had a variety of food to choose from, from udon noodles to Berger's to begeterian food.

Really packed for the holiday weekend, but a great time. Can go to the top of many of the lifts and still have a green option or two to get back down. Longest runs I've done as a - between a beginner and intermediate type skier.

I was there for an awards ceremony and found the banquet hall to be great. One of the children I was with said "it's so beautiful I could cry". The food was fantastic. I do wish the hadbeen more space for the tableing prior to the event, there was some crowding.

I didn't stay at the resort, but the skiing is wonderful when there's enough snow. Great trail variety on a whole bunch of peaks. One of the best American ski mountains this side of the plains.

We went in July and road the chondula up. Take the k hiking trail and you can find some wild strawberries! But otherwise there wasn't much to do. Fun Rides cost extra. few food options but grocery store there has sandwiches. Lift staff was friendly.

Sunday River is an awesome place to ski. The mountain is wide and has a little bit of everything a person of any skill level could want all around the mountain, rather than being stuck to just one part. Each peak has its own feel to it with diverse terrain. The highlight for me was the corduroy snow and you can find it just about everywhere with some parts untouched. I did a mid March, mid week ski and stay and it was very affordable. The only negative I can give is that on Tuesday they kept shutting down lifts all across the mountain at key traversing points. They blamed wind but it didn't seem to be over 20 mph winds. If I had to guess, lack of staff. Either way very inconvenient. Since the only way to get to those locations, since its wide, is the shuttle.

Sunday River is a great mountain - I've been going there since I was a kid. They've got a great snowmaking team, lots of varied terrain, and plenty of peaks to choose from, though you can still occasionally get bogged down in lift lines. The staff is usually very friendly and helpful. My only gripe is the astronomical price to go to this mountain. If you can get a season pass and know you'll use it, it can be a great value. But if you just hit the mountain a couple times a year your money would be much better spent elsewhere like Mt. Abram or, my favorite, Wildcat over in New Hampshire. Food is expensive at Sunday River so you may want to pack your own and the shop is equally overpriced.

If money isn't an issue or you can shell out for a season pass, this is one of the better mountains to go to in the region. But if you're on a budget or a more casual skier/rider, you may want to consider other options.

Having spent many summer days near Bethel, I hadn't been in the winter until recently. What a treat. My sons and I really enjoyed ourselves. Despite only modest snowfall in the Boston area, there was plenty of snow at Sunday River, lots of terrain, and every employee was friendly and helpful. Altogether a delightful experience.
