Certainly better for skiers. Some of the easy runs are less easy for novice snowboarders since many flatten out, which you can usually be prepared for but because of high traffic areas it's hard to keep the speed you need unless you are confident in your steering skills. The staff was friendly and location is great. You can't beat the short drive to get on the mountain though.

Landscape is gorgeous, especially with the fall trees.

It s my favorite little ski mountain around due to the feeling of home it gives to all who visit!!!

I still have a fear of heights, so the summit wasn't much fun, but the lift ride getting there was amazing.

As good as it gets!!! Hot tub over the stream, pool table, pinball in the man cave, huge living room area with fabulos real fireplace, enough bedrooms and bathroom s for 15 or so people, great hosts, towels and robes galore...heaven!!!!!

This is the resort I came to as a little kid. I remember hiking with our cross-x skis and trying to get a little taste of downhill only to wreck and be completely covered in powder. This place is nostalgic for me yes, but that's part of what makes it so special. It's been preserved in a way that will bring a little nostalgia to anyone my age, and create those special memories with their kids. There's something magical here that just doesn't exist in the hustle and bustle of the massive resorts, and I can't explain how valuable that is. It's just something you have to experience for yourself (but please don't. I'd rather keep it small and secret ;)

If you re worried about Covid I d wait to come. Had to take a shuttle bus to park and they re completely packing them with people. You re buddied up and touching against whoever is next to you. People walking around without masks in closed spaces. I know not everyone believes in it and I get it but there s others that do and we should all care.

They re overworking the staff here a bit also. Seems like they don t have enough people and the deli will be absolutely swamped. They need regulation and more staff.

Great location, the trails were wide and open even if the front mountain trails closed down about half-way through the day, and there was a good amount of ski patrol around just in case!

It's easy to get a little lost up there. They don't have many signs with maps on them. I would suggest grabbing one if you plan on doing much. Otherwise it is beautiful, and the employees are courteous and friendly.

Sundance is a great place! Great skiing in the winter and great mountain biking in the summer. Beautiful all year round. Definitely worth the trip!

Great Resort. Lifts leave directly from parking lot, and location is super close to Provo Orem area.

We love Sundance but this review is for the young lady working in parking lot directing traffic. We came up for dinner with my wife s brother who has muscular dystrophy. The parking lot was getting full so she directed us to the top parking lot and told we would need to take the shuttle. We said that was ok but ask if we could drop her brother off with his wheelchair by the restaurant because he can t get around very well and the young lady said no. She said even people with disabilities need to go to the top parking lot. We stopped and talked with another parking attendant who was more understanding and he let us drop her brother off at the restaurant. Then I went and parked at the upper parking lot. They may need to do some Sensitivity training for some of their employees.

I love Sundance. The place is beautiful and you feel away from everything. The amenities and staff are top notch. During my stay we had a problem with the oven, but after we called, there was a technician here within minutes to fix it. Highly recommend staying here!!

Except for the smoke from California, this is always my go to. Take the list to the top, the views are amazing.

We went for brunch at Foundry Grill - everything went very well

All ski resorts are awesome. This one included. Backside is the best. But don't go because I want fewer people on my hill. ;)

We rode the ski lift up and enjoyed a picnic at the top with breath taking views. It was an awesome way to get out in nature and get my kids away from electronics!

Beautiful lodge & ski area. They have a spa but I didn't have time to try out. Staff was incredibly helpful & friendly. A lot of walking but there is a shuttle available.

Amazing atmosphere, great food and entertainment, unique rooms to stay in, all tucked in a beautiful canyon. Everyone should see this side of Utah! Absolutley stunning.

can someone explain why the lifts stop ALL the time? we're stopped for six minutes at one point??

I love skiing at Sundance mountain resort. I love considerably closer to several other world class resorts, but I love to come to Sundance it has the best ambiance. Everyone is so nice and customer friendly. The resort also has some of the best scenery in Utah!

We came to Sundance to celebrate our 25th anniversary and everything was perfect - I really mean perfect! From the delightful massages at the spa to the special service and care we received from all your staff - they were amazing. It really was the most romantic, intimate and relaxing time we've had in quite some time. Thank you.

Mostly driving there in summer thru American Fork canyon, beautiful drive and Sundance lifts takes u up onto mountains, has small lake filled up with fish, shopping and restaurant with snacks and drinks....peaceful and recommended for families with small kids

Stunning setting. Our room was beside a stream and was very private. On the downside, it room was extremely small and dark, and the lighting was not conducive to reading (overhead bed lights did not work). There was only one chair, so if both of us were reading, one had to sit on the bed.

The Tree Room service was friendly and excellent, and we enjoyed the chair lift and nearby hiking.

The resort is amazing. So fancy. Our rooms were late to be cleaned. It was done at 6pm , while check in at 4 pm

Beautiful slopes, restaurants, and people...always beautiful people. They must ship them in from somewhere.

Such a cool place. We always love our time there. The ski life is a bit pricey so we just hiked to the falls to save some cash.

The scenery was really cozy and cute. The food was phenomenal, But was a little on the expensive side. The servers were friendly. I would definitely come again

Sundance is a cozy little spot to enjoy a good time, great food, in an incredible atmosphere

Sundance is a very special, magical place. Very nice, "rustic chic" accomodations, ample outdoor recreation opportunities, excellent spa, great "maker" arts facilites - ceramics, glass, art, jewelry, etc. Nice dining options. the famous Owl Bar that Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid actually drank at (that was acquired and reinstalled at Sundance). And an overall comitment to sustainability. Have been here alone for work meetings, and also have brought my family.

Loved the salmon and prime rib. Don't go on President's day weekend as the place is bombarded with ppl walking through the restaurant with their heavy ski boots. It loses its rustic And cozy environment that you can find on noon busy weekends. 350 for seven ppl at the brunchbuffet.

Fun day just wish the lines at the place didn't take so long.

It was really fun, but really pricy. It was $15 per person just to take a ride on the ski lift. It was really pretty though!

We love the restaurant that by the ski lift. Reasonable price for romantic fine dining. We spent $76 for my cocktail, my husband beer, appetizer, entre, and free dessert!

Inagmatic? Maybe. Mystical? Definitely. Energizing? Oh yes. Meditative? You bet! Historic? A bit. Hometown feeling? For sure! Like your Grandma's old summer cabin at the lake? Yup. Have we been more than once in a week. Count on it! But let me tell you this...if you want a restorative getaway that's right around the corner but feels as though you had to travel to distant places to find such a treat then this should be your first stop. You are transported at this place. You hear the rushing river as you walk up and the scene is set. Wonderful wait staff never leaves you hanging and the food is positively delish. Check your attitude at the door and kick back for a delightful evening of rustic, historic, rich, and immersive headenism. PS; if this doesn't totally make sense blame the two glasses of fabulous chardonnay I had this evening there!

I just loved my time here. It s the perfectly sized resort, with wonderfully friendly staff. The lodging makes you feel like you stumbled into a chic little mountaintown. Wide range of daily activities, creative art programs, yoga, and more. I had a strong CBD Sports Massage at the Spa, with Carolyn, and the foot soak by the fire with herbal tea was just about the best relaxation chillout I could imagine! Family friendly, but the studio rooms are beautifully appointed and private on a little rushing waterfall if you re looking for a romantic getaway.

Very nice facility. Would go back again to do some of the other activities like the zipline or take the lift. We went to hike.

My brother was in from Montana, so I wanted to show him the beauty of our canyons and Sundance. He was overwhelmed! He loved it! Thank you Sundance for never letting me down!

Went to the owl bar. The place is nice! A little pricy but it's nice drinking in nature next to that river! Ordered nachos, they are really good and fresh!

Walked around the premises... very beautiful! There is an art studio on site which was cool! Recommend the Aspen Grove / Alpine Loop drive in that area too.

The snow was great and the workers were friendly and professional. The food was very overpriced.

Great place to go skiing. Bought a night pass for the season. Super fast to get to and can go after work

After lunch in the Foundry Grill. The grilled chicken wrap was really good. The atmosphere was very nice, warm and inviting.

We did the ski lift!! Ot is now a tradition. The line was a 3 hour wait, but it was worth it.

I ve been skiing here for 8 years and I love it! They have a wonderful lodge where you can shop or just sit and have a cup of hot chocolate. There are also fire pits outside during night skiing. Very nice!

The full moon zipline tour is amazing. Definitely worth the money and hope to to again soon.

I recently took my wife to Sundance for her Birthday vacation. We had a wonderful little cabin room in the woods with a nice patio, TV, coffee, nice hot water for a shower and warm robes to wear. We Ziplined from the top of the mountain, hiked and did some sight seeing. Sundance is a wonderful place to visit with lots of things to do especially if you love the outdoors. The staff is very informative and attentive. The restaurants are superb with a good choice of food and drink selections. It was our first time visiting Sundance and we are already planning our next visit for early next year:)

Fantastic scenery, amazing trails for biking or running. We went up to Stewart falls. It was a wonderful hike/run.

Only negative experience was recently when trying to get dinner at one of the restaurants, it was a night during a play, and the man directing traffic was very rude to us.

This is my happy place on Earth. It has a beautiful mountain setting for four season outdoor fun and adventure. In all aspects from lodging to food to fun, Sundance is a first class destination.

Love the outdoor atmosphere, lots to do for any phase of your life.
