If you only stay here once it will have been worth it.

Fantastic well appointed cabins and we had a view over the village.

Where else can you go to step off the plane and have a 10min WALK to your holiday destination.

Would definitely reccomend and would love to come again.

Everywhere is in easy walking distance but you could just stay in and around the Ocean Village area as there's plenty of variety.

A 1min walk down the gangway and there's a fine open air bar & restaurant which has superb value for money food on offer.

We were there coincidentally for the final match of the 6 Nations and what a way to enjoy that fantastic Wales win

Our room was well appointed with the addition of robes, slippers, umbrella and the bedding and towels changed every day.

As has been pointed out elsewhere the only downside being the glass doors in the toilet.

Breakfast had lots of choice with the welcome addition of a glass of Cava to enjoy.

The experience was memorable and one we would highly recommend. Go if you can you won't regret it.

Congratulations to everyone for a delightful comfortable stay in such luxurious surroundings.

Stayed here with family a few years ago when the Hotel was only a few days old and it was amazing! We were recommended by a local we met on the rock and were so grateful. Although we were only there for one night, we had plenty of time to enjoy the boats many amenities. Everything was so clean and the interior design was amazing. Since the boat was new and therefore barely booked, we got a free upgrade to a suite. Thank you subourn for this amazing experience.

After doing a tour from Mijas to Gibraltar at Christmas and absolutely loving it, to a marriage proposal then in January we chose to stay on the Sunborn Yacht Hotel to celebrate our engagement & to go ring shopping on Main Street, Gibraltar ... It was amazing to say the least.

Having just stayed at the hotel, I can say all in all a lovely place and very helpful staff, there were a couple of lows , the place is starting to drop to a 4 star hotel in my view, a little paint needed on the balcony area's and in room 531 the mini bar cupboard as a large part of it which has ripped off, so just a few signs the standards are starting to drop, my parents stayed in room 533, which the air condition didn't work but they were quick to move them to 535 again great service , however the scales in the room had run low so just the start of the service levels dropping , all in all an excellent 4 star place, my wife's back was also brushed badly by the spa and not even an apology was offered , which i wasn't every happy with.

We met family for the 15 minute lunch. It was friendly, clean and pleasant and the food and service were excellent. The only problem was the cubicle doors in the ladies toilets at the public bar, two of which were broken / missing, but our query about this was professionally handled and a reasonable explanation given.

Extraordinary idea of mooring a new cruise, only thought of being moored and destined to be a luxury 5 star hotel.
Very good location, excellent atmosphere.
Very good product price.
Totally recommended.

Stay away from this hotel at any cost. Staff were rude and cocky! The bed were very uncomfortable, low quality, leanging towards head. Expensive nasty restaurant. Bad breakfast with flies everywhere. Shower dries very very slow because of old pipes. 4 nights of nightmares. Who rates this place above 3 stars maybe never been in an real 5 stars hotel.

Great location... the hotel was not quite as upmarket as the last time we stayed here but this time was in January, whereas before was in summer. Still probably the best hotel in Gibraltar but seems to have just 'lost the edge' that kept it a genuine 5 star. Go for the rooms facing across the marina and runway towards Spain... these are quieter during the evenings than those facing the casino and disco.

Rooms are well laid out and the superior rooms are definitely worth the small upgrade fee. Service was outstanding and the head concierge couldn't have done more to make our stay a memorable one with all the extras to help me out with my engagement proposal. Highly recommended.

A genuine cruise ship, except docked permanently by the pier like any land-based hotel. All the luxuries of a sea-going cruise ship. Very nice guest room with tidy bathroom. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The top deck restaurant is enormous with windows with great views on both sides.

Our 3rd stay in this beautiful hotel. The hotel only opened over a over a week ago due to being closed due to the Covid situation. There were obviously a few changes due to sanitizing etc. No mini bar or facilities for making tea and coffee in your room and the casino was mostly closed with only bandit machines available which were thoroughly cleaned after every use but this is understandable. All I say was it was magical as usual. Never spoiled our trip for one minute. The staff couldn't do enough and bent over backwards to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfasts were huge and delicious and the waiters were working non stop to please everyone which in our case they did and it was such a lovely experience. Our friend broke her ankle a week prior to arriving and they put special aid in her room and removed the carpet to make her stay more comfortable.

I just loved our 2 days there especially getting in the pool twice in the mornings and cant wait to go back again. Well done Sunborn for working so hard to get everything right especially in this time of crisis.

I was quite disappointed about my stay at the sunborn. The first impression is to impress but there isn't much beyond the first look. The WiFi is so slow it's unusable beyond basic emails. The wardrobe in my room fall apart, my colleague had a faulty chair in his room and the lift was out of service. It seems like they had to payout the maintenance budget to someone in their casino. The breakfast was nicely presented but bland and dried out from keeping it hot too long. The restaurant was ok.

My experience on the sunborn hotel was a pleasant surprise.. The views from all around the ship were stunning.. Staff were helpful some speaking two or three languages.. I only stayed for a couple of drinks on the sun deck.. But would consider booking a room next time..

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Well worth a visit if you are planning to stay in Gibraltar for a few days, The staff are highlb trained and the place works efficiently. We had a meal at one of the restaurants in the hotel and it was excellent. We also used the pool deck where you will find a small pool for cooling off. All in all a great experience.

Great location on the marina. There for New Year eve 2015 and Christmas Day lunch 2017. They don't cope well with large events unfortunately as food has been cold on both occasions. Would not stop us going again as lovely atmosphere.

Some things were nice (bathrobes they lend are exquisite) but noise from gym above our room was HORRIBLE!

We stayed in an executive room on the 2nd floor. It had a king sized bed in the bedroom and a queen sized fold out couch in the living room. The bathroom was large with a separate shower, commode area, and large soaking tub. There was also a half bath off of the living area. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with up to two children as long as they don't mind sharing. The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. Both hot and cold options were available and four juice options.

My sister and I stayed aboard the Sunborn from 18th to 21st February. The entrance and lounge were great first impressions. On arrival Ian took our bags and offered us Cava. Check in was smooth thanks to Alvaro who upgraded our room from deluxe to kingsize superior for a reasonable price. The room was beautifully decorated with river view and a balcony (+ a complimentary bottle of Cava on ice). Breakfast was really good with a great selection. The floor staff were very attentive and did their best to clear tables as quickly as possible, special mention to Sonia, very smiley and warm. The Barbary Mediterranean dish was the best we've ever tasted, compliments to the chef. The Sunborn's housekeeping service was truly 5* under the watchful eye of Ana Bolen the supervisor. Unfortunately we expected an outdoor heated pool which was under renovation, but after conversation with Mark the manager, he offered a massage session which was absolutely amazing. Thanks to Mark and his team, we will definitely be returning in the future. Keep up the good work.

Really enjoyed our stay here, 6 nights. Bar and restaurant (only one open because of COVID) well priced for a hotel. And they seem to have offers on most days. Food and service was excellent.

Lovely rooms, clean and stylish; great staff at reception, happy staff on floors etc. Views to die for, especially by local standards. Choose runway side unless you are a sun addict Bars/restaurants pricy compared to marina ones just outside... Breakfast excellent choice and service if in a deal.

The promise of a luxury yacht is respected here, and has higher levels than some 4 star hotel could achieve.

We stayed on the Sunborn to get married.
Communications from wedding planner back to us in the uk were very delayed!
On the day there was no signs of a wedding planner! Our photographer who we hired independently did all the work.fetched the flowers that had been left on reception desk. Told me what time to come up to the service as she rounded up my guests to the ceremony. She then organised the line up to the wedding breakfast, she organised our speeches.

Overall a great place to stay, lovely breakfast and clean. Wonderful wedding venue but poor service!

4 stars for luxury. I d minus another star but you can decide if you want after reading this. But the one star i deducted is that I found the staff to be under par with friendliness. There is more room for improvement to earn my 5-stars! They do offer a welcome drink. Something is missing though. Can t point my finger on it. Huh the reservationist said she was booking us in the best room on the ship! I think she should be careful what she says.

It s a cool stationary ship but it is docked outside rows of bars. At 2AM you can hear the party! You can decide if you want to minus another star for the noise. Or maybe request a specific room not facing the bars!

The rooms are amazing and is fully equipped with all sorts of personal items from a comb, tooth brushes, sewing kit, to slippers etc. Better then what JW Marriott or RC offers.

The restaurant at the hotel for dinner and breakfast was amazing. Dinner was great! Definitely eat there.

I am not sure what it s like in summer with your doors open in the room since you have a tight quarters. picture below shows the neighbors deck.

Great anniversary or birthday get away. They should add some retail stores on the ship

Didn t get to gamble so can t comment on that. But if you re going to gamble, go to Vegas!

Just returned to the UK after a 4 night visit and here is my honest review.
The hotel is just a short distance from the airport and easy to walk to if one wanted. It's located in a marina environment with several bars and places to eat around it.
For us most of the local eating places were not to our liking with loud thumping music with a bit of a Blackpool feel several of the bars some of which are sports bars.
On entering the hotel the staff checked us in without issue and the room with its James Bond electronic controls were clerarly demonstated to us by a member of staff.
We had a room on the 5th floor overlooking the marina facing towards the airport and Spain which was simply fabulous.
The room itself is large and the bed very comfortable though there is an issue at the foot of the bed towards the balcony where the space is tight as one keeps banging ones leg on the corner (this is painful so be warned) as one passes it (be warned)!.
We eat breakfast everyday which was great and the staff helpful and the food up to scratch as it should be.
The hotel was super clean and our room was made up perfectly each day and the shower is top notch and super powerful once one gets the hang of the controls.
The 7th deck swimming pool is warm though a little on the small side and for us the area around the pool way too smokey with smokers having zero consideration for those who don't smoke (we hate it), it would be great for the hotel to have no smoking areas here as this spoilt our trip a little hence the 4 stars.
All in all a great place to stay.
For sure we'd have no hesitation in staying their again.
