Papa really enjoyed this place. So did my bride and my son. Lots of music history here. The tour guide was knowledgeable. Make reservations.

Have to say,I've been wanting to come here so many years. A day that I will not forget. History and surreal. Standing in that room where real legends were making music. Elvis Presleys pic on wall in WC shows him using rhat same basin it's just amazing
Great tour and unforgettable mojo. (Not centered on Elvis but on the studio and its history. Hints at some of the less fortunate questions of the Elvis success without delving into the negatives.) Sodas and coffee available before the hourly tour. Yes, you get to be in the actual studio space.
I m not typically into tours but this was different and worth it if you appreciate music roots. Sun Studios is a tiny recording studio, still in use, that left a HUGE footprint on American music history. The tour is really a story hour, telling the tale of the founder s goal to capture and amplify the music of Memphis. It culminates in the one-room studio where Elvis, Johnny Cash and more stood - with the X still on the floor. Pretty special if
An intimate corner shop where the world changed. I love it every time.
So cool to know the greats stood in this very same room
Great spot! Tour is very informative, can get crowded. Huge gift shop, tons of friendly staff. Actually got married in the studio prior to the opening for tours. Nina was a huge help! This place is a great stop!
Excellent hour spent here learning the history of many famous musicians.
Recommend it !
Went here with my girlfriend and loved all the info! I really wish I could remember our bearded long hair tour guide who s a musician s name. He was funny and knew SOOO much info. Fun tour and reasonable price. So glad we got to do this
All excellent, emotional and a must if you like music and its history.
It was very amazing our tour guide was the best there could be
Gets very crowded. Great experience. Where all the oldies recorded music. Sun records emerged from here. A must if your in Memphis. Only costs $10/12. Per person. A must.
Very small place, the tour is really an upstairs museum and then a visit to the studio where Elvis performed. I found it interesting, but it was very small.
Interesting place where interesting people make extremely successful with the original and pure music.
Took the tour. Really fun. Very informative. And the staff is really friendly.
Good tour of some of the famous musicians and the instruments used back in the days great to know the history of how they started a lot of history on Elvis Presley
You have got to go so you can stand where do many iconic songs were recorded. Great guide with great enthusiasm.
Great tour! Tiffany was a very vibrant, enthusiastic about the history of Sun Studios. She really knew her stuff!
If you happen to be an Elvis fan (which I'm not), this has to be on your checklist. If you are a music fan in general, this is $15 well-spent. It's a guided tour (and, should Graham be your guide, you should enjoy this thoroughly), so justified the cost of admission.
Neat little tour of a place with great musical history.
We didn't take the tour but loved going thru the merchandise. Yes we bought some glasses. Thank you to the personnel. They were so friendly.
An awesome studio! Welcoming and informative tour guides PLUS great milkshakes!
Nostalgic and fantastic! Stood on the spot where Elvis recorded his first song!
Good food, but the tour is the main attraction. It's short but sweet, and very entertaining. You learn a lot and have a good laugh. There is so much history there, and the tour goes deep into it. Touching the same microphone as Elvis was also really fun, as well as standing exactly where he stood. I totally recommend it if you love music and history, or just want a good time.
A small studio where the world-famous musicians like Elvis, Jonny Cash, etc. have been recording.
Perfect place for a tour and some cool history. A must see for music fans.
We took the tour a few years back and came back this year to buy some memorabilia. Loved it. It's a great place, wish it were bigger, but it has so much history in every square inch. Got to do it at least once.
Tour guide was great. Very engaging and informative. Lots of memorabilia and history to experience in just two rooms!
Our tour guide Mark was awesome. Very informative. Lots of history here
Totally amazing make sure your tour guide is Graham
Ok, disappointed on price, the quided tour was not really needed. You would learn as much on a self quided.
Loved it here, musically historic. It has a great vibe and the staff are really enthusiastic.
I can waste hours for music lovers this will love it
Great experience and our tour guide was awesome. The history was right at your fingertips and standing where some of the greats have been made for a memorable trip. $15 for adult tour ticket per person, coffee and gift shop in lobby/gift shop area.
I love this place!!! My wife and I went on our Anniversary and it was worth every cent... I mean the original recording studio of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and so many more! Getting to stand in the actual studio where all these legends made their greatest work. Amazing! The tour guide was excellent and the memorabilia was incredible! I highly recommend Sun Studio if you are ever in the area.
Rock n blues history, great tour, delicious ice cream floats. Loved the music and taking pics where the King of Rock n Roll and so many great artists recorded!
If you are into recording history, you MUST take the tour. The guides are full of historical facts/trivia that make every tour a different experience ... And the guides are very personable and energetic.
Great tour guide and tons of history in this place.
Sun Studio Memphis Tennessee of the great legend of the king of rock and roll Elvis Presley
Great guide fill of info. Interesting pictures and musical equipment. Well worth the visit
Like Rock N Roll? Love Elvis? Then this is your place. This is where Elvis recorded his first RR song That's Alright. you will see the piano, guitars, drums, microphones used by some of the most famous artists. This place is a peice of music history.
First time in Memphis I was very excited with everything I saw. Planning on going back next year. Sun Studio was Beautiful. All it needs is to sell more souvenir's
Very informative and tour guide is extremely knowledgeable
Anyone that's a fan of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash or the million dollar quartet must go here! Must stop and take the tour.
Really cool place, awesome that they left all the original recording equipment and instruments. Can't believe how many famous artists have recorded there, Elvis, Johnny Cash, and the million dollar quartet...................... I would definitely stop to take the tour if you're in Memphis, it's the best tour for your money.
The history here is amazing. If you love music this place is where it's at. I got a special kind of feeling there. Its magical!
Fantastic place to visit, the guide was so entertaining and really made the experience
Don t miss the tour of sun Studios when you re in Memphis. It s only $10 takes about an hour and is fantastic. They have free parking right behind the building although the driveway is narrow and takes a little navigating to get into.
Super awesome place to tour and look around! History on every wall and in every corner. Tours given every 30 mins. $14 per person. One hour tour is very informative and lots of fun to do. Tour ends in the actual studio section of the building and at the end you're able to hold and take pictures with the vocal mic stand used in the heyday that Sam Phillips bequeathed after his death. Milkshakes and sodas offered in lobby as well as tons of records and assorted merchandise. Highly recommend!
Top shelf!!! Minute we walked in we were greeted and treated with jovial respect. Loved the tour. We got there at 5 took the 5:30. It started on time, was entertaining and fun. I loved the exhibits. Old records, tons of guitars and the studio recording history stuff. There is no opportunity to record your own CD though, unless you hire the studio. No big loss, it was great anyway.
They charge too much for a tour here. There's really not much to see otherwise. Kind of a wasted trip.
$14 tour. Takes about an hour. Free Shuttle ($2 tip appreciated) constantly loops and can pick you up / drop you off at Graceland or Beale street. Parking behind building, or on cul-de-sac street behind building - seems to be used mostly by hospital staff, but I parked on it with no problems (it looks nasty, but i didn't see any signs of cars being broke into). Tour is thorough and I would recommend it.
Amazing recreation of the studio where many stars began their careers.
Truly an experience to remember. It's like walking into history
The tour guide was excellent. Very entertaining and lots of good information.
Sun Studio was outstanding. An interesting tour of a well maintained landmark of American history. The tour guides are passionate and we'll prepared. I highly recommend it.
While your in the area, stop in and visit Edge Motor Museum down the street. A beautiful museum, filled with outstanding examples of American Muscle cars with exhibits helping to understand their place in modern history. A great bookend to the Sun Museum.
I was totally impressed... there's a lot more there than I thought there would be. The guy, sorry I don't remember your name, was the perfect person for the tour. He was brilliant!!!
visited because my partner is an elvis fan and this is where his first songs where recorded.its a small place with only a few rooms to see.you follow your guide and he does make it interesting.there is some old recording gear to see and the actual microphone elvis sang into,a good photo opportunity here is a small coffee shop as you enter and it's great value
Super fun, and someone who clearly explains in a cheerful way. Elvis really lives here yet
This is by far the best tour in Memphis: affordable, not too long or too short, real sight seeing, funny annotations, nice music fragments. To go.
One of the birthplaces of rock n roll. It's a must see. Take the tour, it's totally worth the time and money!
