Went here this morning before going to Graceland. What an amazing tour with so much rock and roll history. Jane, our guide, was a fantastic host who was very enthusiastic and packed a lot of information and music into the tour. Loved it.

Probably the best Tour in Memphis. Traces the history of early rock and roll icons, Howling Wolf, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and many others.
Loved the laconic style of our guide, lots of treasures to see and photo opportunities galore.
Really good shop as well for t+ shirts and momentos. Brilliant. $14 per adult for the tour. Don't miss it.

Amazing tour of an iconic location in Memphis. Alot of one of a kind memorabilia here. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and seemed genuinely excited to share the information about what had transpired in this studio. Cafe in front that sells drinks and souvenirs.

Very cool place. I didn't have time to take the tour. But it looked neat. The inside has a small refreshment area and lots of things in the gift shop.
Also a major bonus is there is a small parking lot behind the studio, which is great because parking downtown is crazy. It's a little bit of a walk from Beale street so I suggest car or other transportation.

The birthplace of Rock & Roll. Parking is a little confusing. The tour begins upstairs. Upstairs is smaller than anticipated & everyone is crammed together, but it does have a lot of original and interesting items. Downstairs opens up in the actual recording studio. Our tour guide was fun, entertaining & full of information about all the singers. I highly recommend taking the tour if you're ever in the Memphis area.

I was in Memphis for 3 nights arriving on April 11th. The day after we visited Graceland and completed the Elvis story by visiting the Sun Studios where he recorded his very first single. The studios are still untouched as they were in the 50's. The tour is quite short because the place is not that big but was very interesting thanks to Lahna who was very energetic and should I mention this very sexy. There's also a small record section where you can buy mainly vinyl records althuugh I don't think they have exclusive Sun releases. Great gift shop as well; so very recommended and ask for Lahna as your tour guide.

This place is very near and dear to my heart. All my favorite artists such as Howlin' Wolf, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and many more made themselves a name in between those very walls. This is a must see for any music fan. To stand in the same spot that The King of Rock and roll stood in is absolutely mind-blowing

The staff are musicians and engineers themselves who genuinely care about the historical significance of the place. Tiffany was our tour guide and she was wonderful, made the whole thing fun and entertaining. This is one of the best places to soak up some American history, not only for the history itself but for the current presentation of it. You'll feel a real connection.

So much music history in this tiny two-floor building. The artists of years past come alive on a one-hour tour! At the end of the tour, you can hold the same microphone that Elvis held when he recorded in the studio!

Interesting tour inside the studio, that actually were just two rooms, I would say that the place is really iconic but there is not so much to see there. I mean it's cool to be in the same room in which Elvis or Jerry Lee Lewis had recorded.

A very cool tourist stop in Memphis TN. It's a must see for music lovers, and Elvis lovers. The attached shop, serves coffee, and takes you on a very cool guided tour. Definitely check it out once. Unfortunately it's not in the best part of town anymore, so make sure to drive or get a ride to and from. I wouldn't walk there as Memphis isn't what it used to be.

Great to be at the place where Elvis Presley and many more recorded their first albums. There's such a marvelous atmosphere 'cus the studio maintain it's characterization from years and years. There you can buy things about many of yours idols and from many others you just know listening to them indoor. Great experience!

...history is much of lies told over and over and even the teller is sold on the lies he was told. BUT, this is no lie. Rock and Roll was and is still birthing in this studio.
Many Memphians, have never visited this birthplace.
This small room has had very large results, best tour in the city.

Great visit, wonderful to be where it all started. To be in the same room as Showing Wolf, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, BB King and U2, was incredible. Our guide was so knowledge and so interested in everything about Sun Studios. You should not go to Memphis and not visit Sun Studios
