A piece of heaven.. True luxury, wonderful staff, pleasant stay

I really liked its incredible its even more beautiful than in the photos

We were in Sun Siyam Irufushi Maldives for our wedding anniversary.
Excellent place, the beauty of island and white sandy beach is marvellous. Maldives is a must place to visit and The sunsiyam Irufushi is the best location.
Many restaurants, nice staffs with a good smile, Butler service etc etc.

Yesterday I returned with my family from vacation!
I want to share my impressions of visiting the Maldives, in particular The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi
We have been planning to visit the Maldives for a long time!
Finally we got there! Do not regret it! Fabulous place!
Before that, we have been to Mauritius, Seychelles and Malaysia ...
It seemed like there was no better place to find Seychelles
As it turned out to FIND !!!!!
I liked everything very much
The sea cannot be described in words TALE !!!!!!
I liked everything from the moment of meeting to the moment of departure!
The hotel has very friendly staff!
Especially our curator Eugene!
All even minor issues are resolved instantly
I advise everyone who is going to visit the Maldives to go to this hotel! You will not regret!!!!!

This review has been wayyyyyyy overdue!!! My husband and I visited in November 2018 for our little pre-honeymoon. We had booked our trip through an agent so there were a lot of little surprises that we ended up getting - but hey you live and you learn right?! We had the beach villa for 3 nights and the water villa for 2 nights.

Beach Villa - Was absolutely amazing!!!!! We were welcomed with a bottle of red wine and a plate of fresh fruits (Guava was DELISH!!!) Had a hot tub, a little swing hangout in the bathroom/hot tub area. Beach access was through the back door. We enjoyed our stay there but the only thing we hated was that we were woken up by the sounds of machines from across our villa. There was a lot of construction going on there.

Water Villa - This was my favorite part of the stay since we were literally staying over water. I have seen some resorts where you can see the water under through the whole floor, not the case here but there is a little see through section - which is still pretty amazing! You have a hot tub in the back area overlooking the ocean. There's a ladder access to get down to the water and go for a swim or snorkeling but be careful not to step on the sea cucumbers.

Water Situation - Normally every room gets two bottles of free water there, but you can ask them for more!!! Otherwise you will end up paying for water anywhere you go. $5 for a little bottle of water which is pretty ridiculous to me. They provided us with little beach bags so we always carried our water with us from the room. It did get hot but oh well.

Money/Credit card - They accept USD and any major credit cards.

Construction - There was a lot of it going on when we were there, but maybe that has changed now.

Staff - 90% of the staff is AMAZING!!! But then you'll get a few bad apples that are determined to ruin your vacay - We just avoided the bad/grumpy ones. Two people that made our whole vacation better was Sheehab and Eric - BIG BIG SHOUTOUT to the both of them. If I ever go back it would be because of these two guys!!! Sheehab manages the Flavours restaurant and Eric worked there too. All of the staff that worked at that restaurant was just phenomenal!!! I only remember Rupali forgot this other girls name but she was awesome too!!! We ate at Flavours 3 times!!! The food to my husband was okay (since he likes SUPER SPICY!!) but they went above and beyond to accommodate that request for my husband - so we both left satisfied.

Alcohol - IS SUPER EXPENSIVE THERE!!! If you don't drink that's awesome but if you do just be prepared and you can't bring your own through Maldives (country rule). Even if you do buy duty free (which we did) they just keep it at the airport and you pick it up on your way out of the country.

Transportation - Little buggies running around all over the island (the island is not that big, I was able to go around it in less than 30 minutes). You just call the front desk and they will send one for you as soon as one is available.

Honeymoon Treat - We got another bottle of red wine for free! and other plate of fresh fruits when we switched villas. And then we got this little cake and I kid you not it was the best CAKE I have ever had!!!!

Buffet - This was at their restaurant Iru. We opted for breakfast buffet only - we usually ate around brunch time. Lots of good options. They were pretty good about letting people box up food and take it back to their rooms - something we didn't take advantage of but should have since everything was a little on the pricey side.

Restaurants - hands down FLAVOURS! But they've got a whole bunch of options but we didn't try all of them. The Thai restaurant was good too. Although we were a little disappointed with the room service food.

Travel - Pretty organized. We landed at Male -> caught a local plane to a different island and from there it was a boat ride for 45 minutes. You can catch a small plane for extra money. And just heads up that plane can make stops on the way to drop off other passengers.

Great experience overall. They are 1 hour ahead of Male time. Weather is very unpredictable and may spoil your trip. We stayed here for 3 nights and it rained non-stop for 2 days. Buggie service within the island needs improvement. If you do not drink too much, we will recommend a half board meal plan. Only swimmer can enjoy watersports.

Had great Indian food at Iru Restaurant ( thanks to chef Keshar), it was even better than The Taste of India restaurant.

Amazing resort...loved the experience. They have a kids area which awesome. The kids werent ready to come out. This is the best part if you are travrlling with kids. They really take care of them while you can enjoy water sport activities. The food is again a plus point with so many restaurants available. We stayed both in the beach villa and WaterVilla. But i must say, the experience in watervilla is something amazing.

Amazing resort!! The best place I have ever visited.

As for room,
We stayed in Horizontal Watervilla.

Sofa ,bed,and all interior are nice.
Especially,we can see beautiful sea from bath.This is so nice.
We liked bed is located in center of room.
In case of water villa,we can go to sea directly,this was so nice.

dryier does not work well.
There were no chairs for making up my wife.So,need to move another chair there.

As for activities,
We can do snorkelling many places and see many fish , a few stingrays ,small sharks.
These need additional cost(diving costs around $800 for two persons,jetski banana boat, fun tube cost around $300 totally for two persons) ,but those are precious experiences in Maldive.Especially diving,staff took pictures of us in diving.This was the best picture for us.
We went to local island excursion,but this experience told us lives of Maldivian .

As for foods
there are many restaurants,we can eat many kinds food there.Almost are very tasty.

As for staff hospitality,
Some staffs have good hospitality for us,but others are very bad,especially butlers and reception staffs.
I asked them to book some service but they didn't,and they didn't apologize.
And bills were sometimes wrong,also they didn't apologize.
So we need to check our bills carefully.

What made us the most disappointed was mistake for honeymoon items.
Their actions made me disappointed.

I hope those staff hospitality will improve.There hospitality makes great place bad.

Lovely hotel, great breakfasts! Frelimo for breakfast, sashimi, scrambled eggs and fruit, in general, a lot to eat.
Spacious villas with jacuzzi, good access to the sea everywhere.
In general, this is our third hotel in the Maldives and it is good

This is the perfect island paradise! From the moment we landed via the sea plane we knew we were in love. With crystal clear waters, a huge beach, powdery white sands and an a delicate ocean breeze, there isn't a care in the world. We stayed in the beach villa with private pool. The round shaped room felt like a retreat and the in-door/out-door bathroom felt like a sanctuary. The rooms are luxurious and the food is world-class with lots of different options to please every palette. The staff are experts in their fields, whether it's the dive center, the butler or the spa. We couldn't ask for more from our Maldives trip and we'd certainly recommend this for everyone! The only thing I'm sad about is that we have leave. I'd stay here for everyone if I could.

The location of the resort was spot on, the hospitality we received from the staff was like no other. We were always looked after so well, the staff were the cutest. To top ot off, the butler service was amazing! Rushdee made sure that we were catered to, remembered all the tiniest details (even the fact that I love ketchup, that we got it for every one of our meals!). Refath was our room keeper and he always kept our room spotless, and even decorated our room beautifully for our anniversary! It was the sweetest. We have been recommending Sun Siyam to everyone we know, so expect a lot more customers soon! Overall, a 100/10!

My only choice would be Irufushi. Absolutely perfect place to go

Very relaxed place. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The facilities are excellent. The rooms are generous in size and are made twice a day. The restaurants are very high quality and portions are generous and food is served quickly. The water sports facilities are easy to use and the staff are willing to explain everything. Excellent honeymoon destination and great for any holiday.

We had a Fantastic experience. Perfect services from the moment you arrive in Male airport to the moment you leave the Island. Rooms were clean and nicely designed.

We stayed in this resort for 3 days, it was an excellent experience, hospitality and service was too good especially lulia who was taking care of us during our stay

An exceptional stay. Staff with little care. An idyllic setting. By cons the quality has a price but we have not regretted the expense, the price is justified.

Wonderful place spend a few days! The island is so big, you'll never ever get bored. Our room was superb - huge villa on the beach with an outdoor bathroom and giant bathtub. Many restaurants on the island with tasty options

The hotel is green and comfortable! The staff is great! The rooms are good, thoughtful, but some rooms have a rest area on the ocean and some in the depth which is not very convenient. Furniture as for me is already outdated and tired. The breakfasts are good but as for me the fruits and their assortment is rather weak. The restaurants are good but prepare that the alcohol is very expensive. Live music, not every hotel in the Maldives can boast. Put 5 * because it really deserves even with some nuances. I will say that this is the golden mean! There are hotels the same but much more expensive) All the world.

People are super nice the only problem is the availability of the Buggy and also the selection of the food in the restaurants are very good.

I think this is closest you can get to paradise. Everything worked fine. Staff is nice and friendly. Little expensive but life is.

Maldives ... ka cia more pridesi. The only thing - all inclusive - a weird, with a dropping isimciu ...

Amazing honey moon on this beautiful island. Highly recommended

Don t bother wasting your time. This place may look amazing but the customer service is the worst. My wedding and honeymoon was canceled due to covid 19. I was promised a refund 2 months ago but have not received any information regarding that. I have reached out multiple times via email and social media and have not received a response. I then disputed the charge with my credit card company a month ago and they are unable to reach them as well. They are quick to take your money but disappear when issues come up.

It is the second time that I come to this resort it has worsened significantly as food service and cleanliness not suitable anymore for couples it seems the Mariuccia kindergarten full of noisy children I will not return

Wow! Villa 622 - at the end of the Jetty - everything was absolutely breathtaking. Beautiful, beautiful place. The breakfast buffet was great - along with the three or so restaurants, there were plenty of options. Surprising amount of families and kids!

Absolutely superb resort, great customer services, staff members ever so friendly....its a paradise! Resort management need to work on guests car/buggie transport as waiting time is bit too long.

Wow this place is a paradise. The views, the ocean, the scenery, everything about Iru Fushi is astonishing. I've never experienced 5 star service like Ive experienced at Sun Siyam. There's a variety of restaurants and flavors and their food is superb. The water sports were my favorite and they have plenty of them. The excrusions are adventurous and fun. Their spa is a paradise withing a paradise. This is the honey moon destination, don't bother looking anywhere else. A big thanks to our butler Tolik for the best experience of our lives!

A true paradise! Love where the place is praceful yet kids friendly, all the staff are helpful and friendly like family! water around the island r crystal turquoise clear with tons fishes & coral. A true haven holiday location!

One of the unique island which has natal beach all around the island. Further, the natural vegetation was great unlike the artificial island pop up these days. The Sun Siyam Irufushi got more than 15 food & beverage outlets with the best all inclusive options. The rooms were spacious. They got brilliant staff team to assist your during the stay.

An experience to remember!
It truly is an amazing place to be, the service is beyond first class. The setting, layout and activities is everything one would expect when paying top dollar. We stayed 3 nights, 2 in a beach villa, 1 in a water villa.

A few things to be aware though:
1. Hotel should have told me which hotel booth to go to on arrival.

2. Be aware of the seaplane transfer cost, its really expensive. 560usd per person for a 45min flight. Being told this after arrival was a real shocker.

3. Expect to pay average $90usd per person for dinner. Its sometimes cheaper to do in-room dining.

4. Beach villa is awesome, however the bathroom is outside, its still private but dont be put off if you see geckos, cochroaches when you are taking a shower or doing your business.

5. Water villa, awesome though it is, there were a lot of faeces floating about.

The paradise place. The excellent facilities. The food very good.

I really don't want to give this resort less than 5 stars, BUT THIS IS THE LARGEST NUMBER OF RUSSIANS ON THE ISLAND, OH MY GOD. Here, except for Russian tourists, there are practically no others. Sorry, no more foot here.

But the staff is excellent, the resort is good, the island is heavily littered with Russians, who cannot take a couple of extra steps to the trash can and throw their garbage there. It is impossible to clean this island after them so much that just walking around the island you will not see a floating orange or someone's slippers in the water. IT'S HERE Surely NOT EVERYWHERE, the hotel workers are trying very hard to clean up the trash behind these pigs - I don t blame the workers for anything, only this burden for them will be for life until they come up with something to reduce their presence on the island to a minimum.
