Beautiful Resort!
Loved the infinity Water Villa

Having ample space and facilities for guests. Friendly staff...

After landing at the airport, me and my wife were taken to the Sun Siyam's Lounge at the airport. It was very relaxing and had great food options with free back and shoulder massages.

On the resort, we were welcomed by our Butler Shanun.. From the time of landing till our departure he took great care of us making sure every little details were taken care of.

We stayed in water villa with Jacuzzi on the deck. The room was BIG with small see through floor besides the bed. We thoroughly enjoyed the room. Everything you could ever want, was available in the room.

The restaurants and bar was great. We specially enjoyed the Italian restaurant.
The hotel ambience, design and view were amazing.. They have free scuba diving class, canoe and kayaking. Great recreation options..
Everyone in the resort were super friendly.

I would definitely recommend anybody who wishes to have a great time in Maldives to stay In Iru Fushi Sun Siyam.

I don t remember if I wrote about this Hotel. But he remained in my memory and we came here again. The food is good, the rooms are ok, the service is excellent. Thinly everyone hears and performs. Personally, my opinion is a good five! Yes, and there is a lounge area at the airport. While waiting for a seaplane. I would come back here again. Only activities for children are lacking. A three-bedroom villa is generally chic service and out of competition with everything else. Gibson butler is just golden! The lagoon at the hotel has a deep clean beach. Yes, and the presence of several restaurants and everywhere delicious! Indian, grill, japanese and italian! All liked it!

A pleasant and wonderful stay with the family. And a really caring family touch given specially by Mr. Baasith and Mr. Naufal. All staff went an extra mile making sure we were comfortable by any means. Kids club did a superb job making sure my 3yr old was very much entertained. He had a wonderful time, a big thank you to all staff at kids club.
My elder Son , on his request, was given a special tour all around the resort and he was very comfortable with Mr. Naufal.
Definitely looking forward to spend much more precious time at The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi.. At the restaurants from the very seniors to the juniors they keep a keen eye on everyone making sure all who're dining gets the best time.

Some of the feedback I read on this site seems bought or sponsored by the hotel itself. Otherwise, I can t think of any logical explanation to explain why a 3 star resort receives a 5 star rating!
I ve been to multiple 5 star resorts in the Maldives over the years and this has to be by far the biggest letdown.
Poor facilities, unfriendly staff, overcrowded and not fit for families with active children
I strongly recommended you carefully look at other alternatives so that your vacation in paradise does not turn into a vacation in hell

Now we are on the 16th vaccation on Sun Syiam Iru Fushi and we will come again for sure. We feel at home here.
We had vaccations on other two maldivian islands before we found our perfect choice. We had been on Iru Fushi when it was a part of Hilton resorts. Then , the resort changed to Sun Siyam and is improving every year. We felt the difference in staff members, they are allways happy, kind and helpful. The staff reacts verry fast to all the requests and take care of all the details. They like to prepare pleasant surprises for guests. This time we were welcomed with traditional music, flowers and coconut juice on the jetty.
The island is verry clean and beautiful, the bungallows are verry large, the beach is perfect.
Guests can find different cuisines. There are European and Asian restaurants. We preffer european food. Chef is very attentive to all the preferencies.
Holidays with children are great here. The beach and lagoon is confortable for kids. Kids club offers a variety of interesting activities.
The hotel has a confortable lounge at the sea plane airport. At that lounge guests wait for the sea plane. They are welcomed with fresh beverages, fruits and salads, thai massage, fast wifi. Our flight back usually is at midnight and we prefer to wait in the Sun Syiam lounge from seaplane airport, before we go to international Male airport. There is a master chef who every time prepares delicious and creative dinner.
We are grateful to every people who makes our holiday unforgetable. Every team member fulfills his duties and requests with smile, dedication and high quality. We admire all of them.
We are verry happy that we found the island of our dreams. The best 5 star hotel!

beautiful place equipped with every comfort .... fantastic sea with fish of all kinds ... even shark cubs on the shore! I must say that it is a place for families I do not recommend it to young couples! The all inclusive includes almost all restaurants and drinks. pity that in the evening apart from a singing girl nothing is organized ... but to relax it's more than good ... Avoid the excursion foreseen by the all inclusive rate: they say fishing village but there was nothing to see if not some locals walking ..... fantastic overwater room!

Excellent structure, kind staff and great customer care. Many restaurants to choose from and excellent organization for all ages. For the rest, nature takes care of it with a wonderful sea.

Heaven on Earth ... One the nicest tropical resorts that one could possibly enjoy.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Sun Siyam for making our honey moon a wonderful stay. I would like to personally thank Ismail for making our stay very comfortable. I would recommend any one to choose this resort as your destination vacation. When we arrived we were greeted very well. When requested we were able to get a double upgrade on our room and we were but in a horizon water villa with Jacuzzi. All though Ismail did tell us that since they had one available they were very happy to give it. Very rarely do resorts upgrade you even if they have the upgrade available. Thu just shows that they were ready to do everything to keep us happy. All the restaurants have amazing selections and they really do a great job with their breakfast buffets. I would defiantly suggest ppl to do snorkeling. The villa was spectacular and don't even know where to start in terms of the views. The Island was small yet we were offered "buggy" rides everywhere. The room was excellent and their tea selections in the room were amazing. Usually when ppl go for a vacation they wonder if the rooms are going to be exactly what they see on the website. Guess what ? They were bang on. There were no negetive surprises. If anything it was every bit over our expectations. Once again i would thank the staff of Sun Siyam and looking forward to see you guys very soon.

Resort to go to with confidence. Beautiful beach and water, good snorkelling and diving side. Comfortable villas, with all general necessities and great views, Infinity Water Villa - beyond expectations. 35-40 min sea plane away from Male - take it as an attraction on its own. Staff and service as expected.

For being Maldivian island this misses out on the service and food ... Hard to get good service (the Indian rest is the only exception). Ridiculous prices ($10 for an Evian water bottle). Not impressed by the safety at the diving center but I liked Chris (instructor) ... Sad to say but if you go to the Maldives I recommend staying away from this island

The resort is on a large island giving a sense of spaciousness, The views were incredible and the diversity of sea life on the house reef was fascinating,We saw turtles a number of times just snorkelling around the island. The staff are friendly ,The views are scenic on every corner. Flawless pristine beaches with turquoise water and white sands.

Amazing place, we stayed on the water villa the whole time and everyone made our stay feel extra special. picked up and dropped off to the airport, their own lounge while we wait for the sea plane. many restaurants on the island too. Food is expensive so its worth going inclusive and everything felt 5 star!

Had an amazing stay at this wonderful resort. I stayed at the horizontal water villa, and the deluxe beach villa with pool. Tried all the restaurants during my stay and each was exceptional. They also have many activities like water sports, visit to a local island. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to the Maldives.

I just want to preface this review and say I came during covid-19, right after the restrictions were lifted, so I am giving some leeway due to that.

The customer service is great and the employees are super friendly.

The nemo garden is pretty cool and has lots of life hiding underneath the waters.
They give you snorkeling gear to borrow for your entire trip. The villas are nice and spacious and well kept. There is fresh hot water to shower from and decent a/c in the rooms. There is a kids club to drop off your kids and they can run around and play in. I enjoyed my time here at the resort, but I felt a little bit cheated.

Now for the bad. As soon as you get off the plane, you are rushed to a lounge for the flight to the resort. We then had to wait a few hours in the lounge for other people to arrive. I am ok with waiting, but it would have been nice to be able to buy a few things within the airport before going to the resort.

I got the full board and really feel cheated. I don't think it's worth it at all. The food is expensive if purchased separately, but most of the food options were really bad or mediocre at best. We only had 3 restaurants to choose from and the others were closed due to covid. Because the options are so limited, the food also gets old very fast. You have to make reservations for dinner, which is really a hindrance if you have kids. Also dinner starts at 630pm and again with kids, this could be a problem.

I don't find this resort to be very family friendly for younger kids. You could probably get by if your kids are 5 years or older. I feel cheated because of the full board package. I thought normal drinks were included and alcohol was the all inclusive package. Full board does not include drinks and this includes water. I feel like the packages are just a gimmick anyway and unless you are a wine drinker, none of the packages are worth it. I would have rathered paid for the meals separately, but then again, because the food is so expensive and not very good, I would have been very disappointed. You can't order in villa dining with the package, as it is charged separate.

The resort tries to cater to families, but I wouldn't call it a family resort. I also wouldn't call it a couple resort either. I feel like the resort tries to appease both couples and families and fails at both.

The additional activities are expensive and probably not worth it, except for snorkeling. We did a dolphin cruise, which was nice as it was at sunset, but you may or may not see dolphins and if you do, it's not even worth it.

The villas were nice, but there's a few wierd things about them. The tile used inside and outside is very slippery when wet. There is only a place to wash your feet from the beach and not a shower, but there are two showers in the back.

I would NOT recommend this resort and advise to pay more if needed to stay at another place. I feel like you would actually save money and get a better experience. Overall I think the packages are just too complicated and makes the experience worst. It should just be all inclusive or room rate to reduce confusion.

If you decide to stay here, I recommend the following:

- Bring water shoes. There is a lot of coral near and in the water that washes up.
- Bring snacks if you can
- Don't rush to the lounge if you get in early. Explore the airport for anything you need first as this is your last chance.
- Don't expect anything from the dolphin cruise, but go if you want a sunset boat ride.
- Check out nemo garden
- If you wear glasses, bring an extra pair or a repair kit. Also, it may be a good idea to buy a mask with some kind of magnification.
- Don't come here to just relax on the beach, you definitely want to explore the waters.
- Bring eye drops and ear drops
- If you don't drink alcohol, get the half board or just the room. They also water down the drinks for all inclusive package.

This place is like heaven on earth! Lots of vegetation, perfect white sandy beaches, turquoise reef water...and a few angels such as Samha the ever smiling and sweet waitress, Imthi the nicest butler ever, Jocel from the Philippines, Shifak the excursion guide and many more kind and sweet people. We are now in our honeymoon here and it is amazing! :)

A large island with 221 bungalows that are very nicely built. Food is very expensive but the island is basically very exclusive.

It is so beautiful and relaxing. It's like heaven that somebody made artificially.

Very nice place! Sometimes the service is slow or forget to bring things but generally good. The sea is amazing and snorkeling here is a fantastic experience. Seen a lot of beautiful fish. And on the island there are also bats, geckos, lizards, birds ... There are also many possible activities including: jet skiing, stand up paddling, kayaking, banana ... The food is super tasty and what's nice is the buffet restaurant because there is something for everyone there. Our cottage is also super beautiful. With three showers, a bath, a private swimming pool and minibar that is filled daily. London

Beautiful hotel in the Maldives, was 2 times and would like to visit more ..

The island is beautiful, the bungalows are very good. The beds are large and comfortable, the covering of the bathroom is imaginative. The main restaurant is a strong medium. I would also give it 4 stars with great benevolence. The workers on the island are extremely kind although unskilled. No wonder the soup comes out with the dessert. Wi-Fi is unacceptably weak. Of course, much better than nothing. Despite these mistakes, we had a great time. I wouldn't go back.

Spectacular experience. Facilities, treatment, food, views, spectacular. An experience

Could not recommended this place more, all the staff from the personal staff on arrival, waiters at the restaurants, the cleaners, buggy drivers and the gardener's were so welcoming and willing to help with anything or even just joking around with us. As it was our honeymoon they went above and beyond to make it special!

The staff at fluids/taste of India were the highlight of our trip. Arranging romantic dinners and even preparing a back up table just incase of the rain. Ibrahim and Ajuhad went above and beyond for us.

Snorkeling was amazing, our villa was beautiful and the entire island is immaculate from everyone's hard work.

Very nice resort. We had an Overwater bungalow and we enjoyed it heaps. 7 different Restaurants make this a very nice experience. We recommend the All-In variety as it includes all Restaurants as well as 1x Excursion, 15min of Massage (including 1h of Hydro) and 15min of Jetski (pro Person).

I read some of the low reviews and I'm not sure where they been but I had no such experience and also wasn't bought by the hotel. The Snorkling is pretty good (east side of the island).

Staying here for 7 days. The room is very huge and the beach is just right in front of our room. A very good place to enjoy the sun and relax. The sand is so fine. We return to the moment of this dream trip! We were located in a "Water Villaroom # 424" and this room is just gorgeous, with a breathtaking view. We recommend this hotel, it meets all your expectations.We had taken the formula "all in" everything is included and frankly no surprises at the end of the stay. Everything is perfect, my 10 year old son has burst like never before. The staff at this resort are very attentive to you, the children are pampered. On my birthday, I was surprised to have had a birthday cake and a nice decoration in our room. We would like to thank Mohamed (he speaks French) the reception because it helped us a lot: our English is not terrible ... A big thank you to Imthiyaz Ahmed who programmed us the restaurant reservations for the week 30 years anniversary of my brother and the marriage of a couple of friends. Several restaurants are on this site, which allows you to discover all the flavors of the world (refined decoration type gastronomic). A thought also to Eric of the French restaurant "Flavors" and Ibrahim of the "Fluid Bar" which were very welcoming. Do not talk about the SPA that offers you massages of dreams, relaxation is assured. All the staff are caring for you, you have nothing to think about. This complex also has a clinic with a doctor when needed. Several activities are available: outing to see dolphins, sharks, dives, jet ski, banana buoy etc. You also have a tennis court and a football pitch. It is with pleasure that we will return. If you want to see sharks "black tip and nanny", parrot fish, octopus etc ... get up early in the morning, you will see them swimming near the overwater villas and frankly, the sunrise is to fall! the sol flat and that there are a lot of dead coral, it is necessary to go further off.Every night they also give food to the nurse sharks at the restaurant 'the flavors'.
We also recommend taking mosquito bracelets for the evening. We recommend going to "bamboo" in the evening, a DJ puts you in a great atmosphere, we had fun on the dance floor. For those traveling with young children, I advise you to choose the villas on board beach. you have the pool, access to the beach and the accommodation is very spacious.

We just visited the place and this is like a small paradise. We stayed at the horizon water villa and the view was to die for. The staff is very helpful and friendly. You will find all the cuisines there so everyone has there own food. Amazing breakfast buffet. All in all an amazing place for your holiday.

As far as hospitality is concerned, I think there aren't many places better than this one. The staff were amazing and so were the people in general. Great place to stay and cut from the outside world.
The white sand, coconut trees and beach buggies Make it a perfect get away resort. There is a great kids area where they have lots of fun activities and they make the parents totally free to enjoy themselves. The food is great too, every day the theme of the buffet changes and they have lots of varieties
If I had to be really nitpicking then I would say that wifi is really poor and internet needs to improve and second, no beverages even water is not free for those who have gotten half board or full board meal plan. Infact I would suggest that you go and with only having free breakfast in your package and then decide and pay at the spot. This way things would be cheaper

I do not know where to start! The setting is just exceptional. With my husband we had booked a villa on the water, the staff was more than a little care. At the restaurant level there is really something for everyone and everything is very good. The white sand, the turquoise water, the breathtaking view, in short the dream. Obviously quality has a price but no regrets. If it was to do again I will return exactly to the same place without hesitation!

Magnificent place to relax, it seems that you are always alone on the island, on the beach by the pool, an unforgettable experience

This was my first time in Maldives the kids and I were so excited from the things we heard about San siyam ,but unfortunately from the moment we arrived they took us to the airplane lounge leaving us to wait 3 hours then some one came told us the flight took off with out us!although we paid San siyam upfront for transportation and 5 night stay they left us in Male with no back up plan! After spending 8 hours in male and after long negotiations they took us to a low class resort an hour from male surviving a bumpy trip by boat and missing a whole day in a resort u would expect an immediate compensation with no hesitation !but when we arrived my husband had to demand a compensation or a refund for the night we didn t spend they had nothing to offer except these things happen we r sorry! Then after insisting on a refund they moved us to a sun set water villa and gave complimentary massage ,Leaving all what happened the service is bad,very few buggies to transfer u ,the workers lack professionalism however their restaurants r good and the rooms were clean
