A peaceful paradise. The only time you ever see a lot of other people is in the morning at breakfast. The staff in particular are great. Friendly and willing to bend over backwards to help make your stay better.

Amazing place here..for all ... families and couples ... lots of varieties of food ... the best reception team, our buttler guided us and helped us plan our stay..service and quality of food not of word to describe ... it is truly paradise ... Thank you to each person who made our stay unforgettable ..

I highly recommend that you carefully understand what is included and not included in "full board" and "all inclusive".
Drinks, for example, are not included in the full board. The cheapest bottle of wine is $ 49.
Food is generally a sad story - both in terms of organization and quality. Dinner, for example, must be booked in advance and it starts at 18.30. Alcohol is diluted, unless you demand to open it in front of you.
There is also not a lot of entertainment: an excursion to the dolphins is a waste of time, the island is small - only half an hour walk, Flyboard - $ 215 for half an hour. There is even nothing to add here.
No, though.
I talked to someone who liked it and asked why: 3 people out of 4 mentioned "because the kids were treated to movenpick ice cream for free." He spread his hands.

the staff is always helpful, kind and friendly. The location is just perfect! As others suggest, recommend half board ... breakfast is served until 11 and is abundant and delicious, there is even sushi !!!

The resort was amazing. The service was great and the staff was professional. I have no complaints about the resort itself. I do have a complaint about being marooned on an atoll. To travel between the atoll and the capital is not cheap and can be an all day event. I can get a better experience in the Caribbean or Keys for a fraction of the price. Maldives is a place you should visit for about 8 days but after that, there is no reason to return. I would recommend this property if you are planning a trip to the Maldives.

I'm writing this review while I'm still here on the island, this place is unbelievable, truly a piece of paradise! All the way from the accommodations, the splendid service and attention through the breath taking views from our over the water villa, this has been the best vacation ever! Special thanks to our butler Habbeb you are the greatest, you definitely make a difference and hopefully you will inspire future generations to come to strive such perfection as yours, thanks for your kindness and hospitality. My husband and I will never forget The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi and hopefully will have the pleasure to come back again soon.

PARADISE FOR COUPLES & FAMILIES!

PARADISE FOR COUPLES & FAMILIES!
The headline sounds like a contradiction but it is not.
My wife and I have visited most parts of the world with the purpose of finding Paradise... and we did on our first trip to Iru Fushi!
This was back in 2010 when we were a couple with no kids. We loved it so much that we have returned 3 times with 1, 2 and 3 kids :-) And here is why...
The first thing that we had never experienced before was the tranquility. Iru Fushi has it's own very unique relaxed feeling. It will slowly grow on you from the moment the water plane has set down and you are greeted by the amazing service minded people working here.
And if you have kids you will probably know that you need a vacation after having had a vacation with your kids. But on Iru Fushi this special aura actually also relaxes the kids. It is a vacation even with the kids. Our kids also really enjoyed the adventurous kids club... the crew is great and there are so many options and toys for all ages that on our last trip the oldest 4 year old just wanted to stay there alone for a few hours every day. She even made some friends and loved the activities like banana boat.

As a couple you will find great pleasure in the big horizon pool for adults only - leading up to the beach you have the best of both worlds. And the beaches here are nothing but amazing. Again we have seen them all and this is by far the most beautiful beach we have EVER seen ANYPLACE. The sand is white and shinning like diamonds - its crushed coral that makes out this amazing sand that is so soft that you can actually enjoy lying in it without a towel.
When being there without kids we also spend a lot of time sailing the catamarans that is free to rent. One time we sailed to a secluded island and well... what was the story with Adam and Eve and clothes? :-) It was out of this world and to top it on our snorkeling trip the same place two dolphins swam just past us with its baby Dolphin. Maybe that was the inspiration to come back a few years later with our own baby... and that trip was when I proposed to Mia. Which makes me want to come back to the people working at this resort. They helped organize the most amazing event fooling Mia to thinking we were to celebrate our girls 6 month day... but after a spa experience she was kidnapped to the beach where I was waiting with a question and a ring and champagne :-)

We have lived in different cabins - from the entry model on the beach to the water villas with glass floor. And actually we like living on the beach the most, and have been lucky enough to try the Beach Villa with pool a few times. And this is amazing especially with kids. We like that the cabins are very cozy or as we say in Denmark "Hyggelige". They have modern amenities without making them cold. Especially the outdoor bathroom is fantastic when taking a shower looking at the stars at night.

There are plenty of restaurants on the Island with very high quality food. They each have some signature dishes that are an experience it itself. And even though this is in the middle of nowhere the wine menu is huge. The main restaurant offers great breakfast and buffet in the evening. And with small kids that eat quickly and then loose there calm you will love the kids area where the kids can play while the adults slowly eat and enjoy each other while being able to watch the kids. After dinner the bar and disco, by the edge of the beach, is open and offers different entertainment each night. This we mostly used when going as a couple.

Every time we visited the island there was a lot of other people... but we don't know where :-) Even though the island is not too big, it is neither too little. There are so many places to stay and go that you are almost always feeling that you are on a deserted island when staying on the beach or in the water.

So is there nothing bad to say about this place? Think not - or maybe we were just to busy enjoying life, because this is as close as it comes to Paradise!

Took a seaplane to The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, lovely experience, and scenic aerial views of the Maldives. I personally enjoyed the resort a lot - very family-friendly, having seen the facilities and many other families at the resort. Stayed in a Sunset Horizon Water Bungalow, loved the endless view of the sea.

The spa was particularly impressive and well-deserving of its awards with its speciality treatments, meticulous decor, and sheer size, comparing it the other five-star hotel spas that we have been to throughout Asia. Massage was great, thoroughly enjoyable.

Food was excellent as well, especially the poached pear dessert at Flavours (French restaurant), one of the best desserts we have eaten.

Hope to be back one day! :)

Incredible resort and amazing experience to spend a week. Stayed in a beach villa which we were fortunate to have a private beach section. Recommend visitors get half board (breakfast / dinner) as breakfast is served until 1100. The breakfast buffet is large with a good variety of foods to cater for everyone. The scenery is simply amazing. Make sure you get to the waters edge bar each evening for two for one drinks!

what a terrible resort service !!!

what a terrible resort service !!!

The weather was bad and the seaplane didn t rise, so I stayed for another day.

I think this can't be helped.

However, the weather got better and the sea plane rose again

They don't tell us when we can leave, they just ask us to wait.

I changed my flight schedule because I couldn t go to the airport the day before.

Even though I knew the changed schedule

It doesn't tell you if you can take the seaplane according to your flight schedule.

You can swim and snorkel under the horizontal water villa.
There are not many fish.

I'll never come again.

5 stars if there were 6 I would have put 6.

I think the most beautiful location ever in my life beautiful room with swimming pool and jacuzzi at the back., Entrance to one of the most beautiful beaches ever seen and a sea ...
Many excellent restaurants within the resort, many free services for children, 2 more swimming pools, aerial kids gym and a fantastic breakfast

DO NOT RECOMMEND The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi!

DO NOT RECOMMEND The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi!
We booked for 28 May 2020 5 June 2020 as it was my dads 60th Birthday, the resort refuses to include a birthday offer, example just making a simple dessert.

The resort insists that the birthday has to be within the period of stay, we unfortunately are fasting (Ramadaan) on the 15th May 2020 and cannot travel in this period. Being an Islamic state, you would think they would be understanding and accommodating to this.

Its sad that they will lose our business of R129,000.00 for a simple dessert request would have been nothing more than R150.00 just to make a milestone birthday special. Nobody celebrates 60th birthdays everyday.

I would NOT support a resort that cannot accommodate you as they can see on his passport when his birthday is.

It was our longtime awaiting holiday trip to this breathtaking beautiful resort. They have very well trained staff. We had RUSHDHEE as our butler accompanied by OSCAR. They provided detailed information about our villa, water activities available, restaurants and services available at this island. We wanted to stay and enjoy different water villa. Initial few days we stayed in beach villa with private pool, then moved to horizon water villa to see sunset and then stayed in infinity water villa. Every move was smooth and it was very well managed by RUSHDHEE. We did scuba diving with ELINA it was a great experience under water. They provide complimentary snorkeling and kayak within the lagoon. I recommend this island and resort for holidays. 5

The sea point is enchanting. The village is beautiful and the services are rewarding. Good food and large, well-kept rooms. Two flaws: the Wi-Fi network (for those who want to stay connected with the world) is insufficient and the excursion proposed to the fishing village is completely unsatisfactory: better to stay on the beach.

You dream it....they will do it for you!

Great island great weather and noble water villas. The food is very fresh and tasty. The underwater world blew me away as a snorkeler, unbelievably great colors. Pure relaxation. Holidays always happy, even if the price is not bad. But
Quality has its price.

Maldives ... at the top!

Maldives ... at the top!
Very comfortable hotel .... elegant but relaxed and without forcing. Accommodation of all kinds from the garden house to the beach villa ... up to the overwater bungalow with sunset exposure!
Great food served in 7 different restaurants of different culinary backgrounds ... quite expensive

Large, well-run island resort owned by local polit...

Large, well-run island resort owned by local politician, Mr Ahmed Siyam who also runs two other resorts in the Maldives. This is the archetypal desert island. About a square kilometre in size, snow white beaches, and an abundance of flora and fauna. You walk around the place and feel like Robinson Crusoe, albeit with room service. The spa was enormous with immaculate gardens, water features and atmospheric treatment rooms - the Swedish massage was heavenly. The hotel offers alcohol but it's very expensive and imbibing is discouraged as this is an observant Muslim country. Worth bearing in mind if you like a drink. The South East Asian staff were absolutely lovely and couldn't do more to help - you are assigned a 'butler' on arrival. The restaurants were a bit hit and miss but a special event buffet on the beach was one of the greatest dining experiences of my life. There are several restaurants and swimming pools, and each room has it's own private Jacuzzi. Scuba diving prices were reasonable (about $75 all in) and these waters are simply teeming with life. The clientele was international - with an equal mix of Chinese, Middle Eastern and European guests. Would recommend for teetotallers, divers, nature lovers, honeymooners and families. Apart from diving there isn't a whole lot to do apart from relax on the beach. It's a long haul, took three flights to get there, so recommend staying for at least a week to fully enjoy.

The over water bungalow I had was very nice. While the furniture was a bit dated, the design of the bungalow was so nice - cut out to see the fish swimming below, showering with a view of the water, a great deck, an easy entrance to the water.

Fish are everywhere when you re walking around the dock - saw pufferfish, rays, sea cucumbers, and tons of fish. There were flying foxes (bats), crows, and herons as well.

The restaurants were very nice even though you need to expect to pay 3x what it s worth. We basically stuffed ourselves for breakfast (very nice buffet) brought snacks for lunch and tried to be somewhat cheap for dinner.

Very family friendly. Kids received a steep discount. I wouldn t say that the family pool screamed family, but there were a lot of things to do - game room, ping pong, shuffleboard, tennis, badminton, beach hammocks, kayaking, and a bunch of water sports.

It's quite tricky to find out what to start with!

It's quite tricky to find out what to start with!

We spent 8 days and 7 nights last December on that paradisiac island, in that amazing resort. Everything is done there to make you forget what "concern" means. At first, not to forget, many thanks to Rushdee and all the staff for taking so much care of us.
The only thing you have to do is to enjoy the moment! Everything else will be handled by the staff.
Rushdee was dedicated to help us answer any question we had, any information we needed.
The resort itself offers so many activities and an outstanding Spa!
The diving center will give you the opportunity to discover the underwater surroundings of the island. And the sports center will offer you different activities (boat, stand-up paddle, canoe, jet ski).
We've chosen a Horizon water Villa. Everything sticks to the photographs! The villa is huge, looks incredible, and the equipments work properly. The direct private access to the reef is a good way to discover snorkeling. And if you get the chance to afford the jaccuzi and the bubble bathtub, well this is just insanely perfect!
I'm not an expert, rather a beginner in scuba-diving and snorkeling, but I can tell there are a few spots to watch colorful rainbow fishes and corals. If you're luckier, you'll run into sharks, stingrays and turtles. I can't tell if this is better than anywhere else, probably not. However that's a very good spot to begin! You can ask the sports center staff to take you to further spots, off the island, if you need to see more. Of course you may notice sand bags along the beach, to minimize the rise of sea level consequences, but the island is also a non-plastic one, and the staff only drives electric golf vehicles.
About the food: there are 6 restaurants in addition with the main buffet. All of them are high level restaurants. We really loved the food over there! We would suggest the customers, if they can afford it, to pay for the All-inclusive option. It's definitely worth it! You will get access to a very large choice of beverages (especially cocktails) and to nearly all items in the menus of all restaurants without any extra charge, except the French one.

Don't hesitate to ask for the complimentary Honeymoon package if you're eligible.

The staff is so friendly and keeps smiling at you. If you take a second to smile back and talk with them, be sure they will make your stay even more peaceful. Once again many thanks to Rushdee and all of the staff for making our Honeymoon just perfect!

Overall experience was great with the service, room and food quality. The outdoor Jaguzzi pool should have place on the side so tou can view the sea view from your bed and not block by The Jaguzzi. The accesd from the water villa to the lagoon was fantastic and you can choose anytime of the day to do the snorkelling. Remember to bring your free gear from the diving centre. The check in is smooth from Male airport and you would be directed to a seaplane check in . You would be transported to a lounge and wait for your flight. King of long as we waited alimony 3 hours upon our landing to catch a seaplane. The tide is 45 mins and the lounge has limited snacks for you to enjoy..upon arrival you would be greeted by your own butler who assigned to you through out your trip. You would be taking to your villa by the buggy. The resort is not too big and can be easily walk within 30 mins to complete the whole island. The white sand and multiple restaurants were there to welcome you for lunch and dinner . Except the only breakfast restaurant called Iru Restaurant. Served almost similar food daily and kind of sick after 5 days! Snorkelling safari is great if you are not too adventurous. The flavours - French restaurant has great food. Avoid the seafood grill as taste terrible. Don t miss the shark feeding time as you would see many sharks come close to your doorstep. We choose all inclusive meal including beverage. Worth if you do drink as buying drink even for non alcoholic could be expensive.. $8 for a cup of tea... 5 days 4 nights are perfect for small take away. Not much things you can do here if you are not too adventurous. All activities have to paid extra... there s a recreation centre, gym, pool, bar with live band and ice cream shop too. We enjoyed our good time despite the heavy down pour in some of the days we stay.

Good choice for families with kids!!!

Good choice for families with kids!!!
First of all we are talking about Maldives, so it is beautiful, if you like the sea!
The arrival was kind and nice, but to be honest after a 16 hours trip, a welcome cold water would of been great, but we have received only wet cold towels.
The check in process went smoothly, we have met our Butler in the name of Fayaz, who was extremely kind and helpful during our whole stay. After a short brief about the island he took us to our house on the beach! Good choice, good location! So as a tip if you like quiet and a little windy, that can be very pleasant during hot days, ask for room 238, 239 area.
The vila is beautiful, clean, with a nice pool on the beach, the bathroom is out side in the back.
The bed is big and comfortable.
The resort offers a wide choice of restaurants with different cuisines, like Asian, Italian, seafood, grill, arabic and of course a main restaurant. We have liked the main restaurant that offers different types of food every evening. Also a good choice was the asian restaurant.
We chose the all inclusive package, that as you might know, is very useful when you have kids.
The downside of it is that if you want to spend more time on your piece of beach, and have a drink, the offer is limited to some beer and one type of wine, provided in the mini bar. If you want some summer cocktail you have to go to the bar that can be quite far from your room or you can order by room service. The room service is so slow and might be also very difficult to place a order due to the bad communication in English with the staff.
The offer of water sports is quite nice, so you can get the kids happy. The down side is that every time one adult has to go in person to sign for everything.

Paradise! An incredibly beautiful island within the Maldives. We had a great sea plane flight from Male and as soon as we landed the staff set out to make our experience second to none. It certainly wasn t a cheap 4 nights but completely worth the money in terms of location, accommodation, food, service and enjoyment. We had a water villa which delivered on all fronts of being private, romantic, fun and memorable. The island itself was well looked after and indeed represented paradise. The sea and snorkelling were just delightful and jumping off the steps of our water villa into the warm, turquoise sea was just fantastic. It makes us smile even today! The breakfast was heavenly. Choice beyond choice and all to such a high quality. We loved eating local curries at breakfast time, washed down with fresh juices and a glass of bubbles! We have incredible photos and memories to last a lifetime. We can highly recommend for a luxury holiday.
Just as a side note, you can t access other islands but there was some kind of snorkelling day trip or you can book scuba diving lessons plus there are activities to do like paddle boarding and canoeing.
