Fresh, dry powder in the winter and lots of sun in the summer! Great resort all year round and lots of small coffee shops/restaurants to visit. Definitely one of my favourite resorts in the interior of BC!

Perhaps a better winter resort than summer. Seemed desolate at times. Restaurants of varying quality (but some very good). If you like mountain biking will be for you. Walking trails well signposted.

What a terrible town. The locals are pretentious and hate outsiders. They're even getting in the way of new developments while sitting pretty in their new condos. And be careful crossing the street there is a huge drinking and driving problem there and the employees never stop at stop signs

First time riding here, and definitely one of the better parks of the interior. The village is very nice and well kept, also quite accessible. The DH trails were all well designed and steep and fast! Will definitely be coming back.

Sun Peaks is awesome! The mountain is a special place to visit all year round. Recent had a powder day, beautiful conditions!

Village has a good vibe, staff are always incredibly friendly and the views from the top are amazing.

I love this place, anyone living near should visit this ski resort and bring their kids for skiing. if you have never skied than you can get lesson. for locals they have very affordable program of 10 classes of 2hours each in winters on every Saturday or Sunday. check the website and do visit it, it's super fun!

Great place to stay all year, close to all amenities. Great bike and walk trails for summer and spring and ski runs in winter. Staff were super helpful as were most people working in shops throughout the resort.

What can I say. 25 cm the night before we arrived. It was amazing. Sun peaks is a hidden gem of a resort. We had ski in ski out accommodations, a hot tub to relax and ski runs that are virtually empty. So much terrain to play on and just not enough time in 3 days to see it all.

Amazing little place. A bit far from Vancouver but if you want to go away for a couple of days and Whisler is fully booked this is the place to go. Also there are a few good restaurants in the resort.

For a skier ... simply FABULOUS ... for skiing and for the exceptional welcome.

Ski slopes for "all" levels from beginners to crazy experts. The ski area is immense, the 2nd in Canada in terms of extent ... 4 mountains. The highest slope climbs you to 2,078 meters above sea level. A descent from the summit is approximately 3 to 5 kilometers. A full day of skiing, if your legs allow it, can easily mean 30 to 50 kilometers of downhill . The lifts are fast and during my little busy stay ... at worst on a Saturday, it took me less than 4 minutes to access the lift; on weekdays, less than a minute the vast majority of the time.

Sun Peaks Village is small, but good with restaurants and shops. But for groceries, you will resort to a grocery transport service which for $ 26 will travel the 58 kilometers to pick up your purchases online at the local Kamloops grocery store. There is a convenience store in the village, but it is more expensive and the variety is less interesting. The $ 26 for transportation is worth it for a long stay.

Ms. Nancy Green, a former Olympic ski champion, is now the Sun Peaks champion. Nancy Green's weekly lecture is an exceptional introduction to the ski area and the village of Sun Peaks.

You will learn, among other things, that:
At the beginning of and in the afternoon, local people offer to guide themselves on the ski slopes according to your level as a skier.

The village which has about 800 permanent inhabitants and a primary school where all the students are skiers or snowboarders, because the school is on a ski slope.

FABULOUS

Just tried to book a shopping trip down to Kamloops and have found out that management in their wisdom have cancelled the option of a cheap way down the mountain. So much for all the hype that was promoted of a friendly cheap family resort. Will be looking at another resort and informing others of the problem. " Not happy Jan".
The one star is not counted as this was the only way I could post it.

A beautiful and lively place to visit even in the summer. The entire village is still open and active. The mountain employees and stores in the village all seem to be careful and respectful of social distancing guidelines. Extensive downhill and cross-country biking trails are open throughout the mountain. And for the smaller or less fit of us. The magic carpet is open to carry you to the top of some fun downhill trails.

I have been skiing Sun Peaks since 2002 and it offers the most terrain in BC now (outside of Whistler). Great European style village as well. Snow is nice light dry inland powder and variety of terrain is endless - highly recommend!

Sun Peaks offers great variety and amount of terrain, a very charismatic village and ski in - ski /walk out accommodations. Fantastic for families lots of self catering condos with Canadian character. A great overall location with summer activities also. (mountain biking and golf among others)

Gorgeous place to ski/snowboard. The mountain views were breathtaking, and the runs were impressively fun to ride considering we did not get fresh snow the week we stayed. Fun little mountain village too. Downside - a long walk to some accommodations and the shuttle schedule included very few stops, none of which we found clearly.

Very large resort. Three mountains with runs of all levels. Even when it's busy, the lineups for the chair lifts aren't very long. Nice resort village too. And if you're lucky you'll see Nancy Green on the slopes. She loves to talk with visitors.

Great for families and leisure travellers. Unsuitable for business or professionals.

Arrived on a Tuesday in the off-season while driving through Kamloops to Calgary. Was reasonably priced considering those displaced by the fires.

The rooms we were given (323 and 329) had a vintage feel but there was some damage beside the bed and dust/dirt in visible areas. Luke, the Guest Services Manager was prompt and reasonable with finding us new rooms that fit our needs and we were quite happy with how the issue was resolved.

The hotel and restaurant staff were very accommodating under the extenuating circumstances and maintained a positive attitude.

Mantles, the hotel restaurant & bar has great food options, it's premium-priced however there is a kid's menu and a great outdoor patio.

The pool(s) and fitness facilities were great with cardio equipment, free-weight dumbbells up to 50lbs and a dual cable machine.

We would certainly return on a leisure trip, although the lack of sufficient outlets and secure hotel internet would be unfavourable to business guests.

I like

Great ski resort. Outstanding conditions this year. We had a good time yesterday with hardly any lineups.
I like this place better then Whistler Blackcomb. Smaller, but it has lots of terrain with great snow.

This place is huge. Not only is the mountain big (2nd biggest in Canada), the village and amount of places to see is far and wide. In fact if you tried to see them all you wouldn't be able to in one day. This is definetly a beginner to intermediate mountain. It takes a lot to find the blacks in part due to its size. I would return but this seems like a perfect family mountain.
