Excellent as always. One of the best in area. We look forward to eating here when visiting IOP.
The food & service was excellent!
The owner ( Donna) went over and above extending hospitality to our family as we celebrated my Father in law's 85th Birthday.
Thanks Donna!
The service was amazing! The food was delicious, especially the soup. An all around wonderful place with a family/ friendly environment.
Great vibes and very friendly service. The food was crisp and delicious. Will clearly recommend this spot to friends and family. Fair rates and generous portions. Keep up the great work.
Husband loved his food !! No refills on water. my only negative is I can't eat shellfish I need more options for people who can't eat shellfish. Husband said the best shrimp he ever ate. Recommend this place 4 seafood lovers
Best shrimp I have ever ate.waitress not personable
We eat there every Sunday after church. Never had a bad meal. Owner & staff are wonderful.
No I am not getting played to say that.
So delicious we'll definitely be back when we come back to the coast! The service was amazing also!!!
Wonderful seafood, crab legs were outstanding. Service was attentive not overbearing.
Relaxing atmosphere. Not gf friendly. Decent prices. Good food with large portions.
Nice brunch for home cooking affair. Good ole low country food. Good bloody Mary's. I'll go back on occasion. Nice Sunday after church option. The food here is classic and comforting. Different seating arrangement kind of reminds me of an indoor picnic. Very popular with lots of local patrons. Nice menu selection.
The food and wine was fabulous and the service was great! A definite comeback place! We highly recommend! Thank you again for helping to celebrate Mr. George s birthday.
Absolutely loved seafood casserole! Creamy grits were delishious and cole slaw can't be more southern oh and the key lime pie is one to try
Hope to try this place again, hostess at the front was rude so we decided to go elsewhere.
The staff was friendly and the service was great. I had the blackened tuna and my wife had the flounder The food was excellent and despite being busy, came relatively quickly. Even though there were a lot of people there it was also not as loud as we expected, and the ambience is nice.
A quaint and comfortable setting with down home offerings, very enjoyable.
The food was excellent and the coffee was great. Real nice place to get breakfast before spending the day at the beach.
The food was good, but what we liked most was the very friendly and fast server. He brought out a water bowl for our dog even before we asked for it. Well done!
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding ...will be coming back very soon!!!
You can not go wrong with Sullivan's! The she crab soup is simply the best in Charleston. The entree options are exceptional offering an array of dishes. The service is great and the atmosphere casual. It can be a bit pricey at around $25-$30 pp but you leave feeling like it was well worth it!
Great shrimp, but scallops and deviled crab on Captain's platter were only average. Very nice staff work hard to make sure you're happy.
Our service was ok. The food was great. Parking could be better. Will stop by again if we visit.
Relaxing, casual atmosphere, great staff and wonderful food!
Its was ok food but nothing like what every one raved over. Sever was ok. Owner I assume she was the one running the register was SUPER friendly..even gave our girls sand dollars someone had given her.
The food was really yumalcious, I had the grilled flounder sandwich and it hit the spot! But the BEST part of my dinner was seeing the busboy Adam because he is so beautiful I might cry. My waitress told him that he had an admirer at table 23 and It was me.
Love Sullivan's, always eat here when I get back home.
Sullivan's is a very loud, frenetic place to dine. If you are looking for a quiet spot to have a romantic meal, this is absolutely not the place to go. The crab dip appetizer was utterly tasteless. The fried fish and shrimp did have a flavor- that of the frying oil.
This is a very busy restaurant filled with families, lots of children, and endless motion.
If you're thinking of taking a date out for a quiet meal and conversation, go elsewhere.
Great food and good prices. Best seafood and onion rings!
I have eaten here twice and each time has been excellent! The first time I got the seafood casserole and the second I got the 7 layer seafood pasta! Both still came with 2 sides! Enough for two people to definitely split or to have leftovers the next day. I think their prices are also very reasonable. Yum!
I remember going to this restaurant with my family when I was a teen. I continued the tradition taking my family out after spending the day on the beach. The food was fantastic and the service was still excellent. The star of the menu is definitely the seafood (I recommend the She Crab Soup and Seafood Casserole) but they also have other options including kids meals. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.
Great food for the price. Finding a parking place is difficult because it's so popular
Highly recommend!!! Fresh, delicious seafood, the absolute best hush puppies I've ever eaten, and really great, friendly staff. Skip the Creek and drive just a couple of miles farther to this amazing place!
I love the family atmosphere. The food is some of the best East of the Cooper!!
Honestly I'm shocked how highly this place was rated. we came here last night expecting a much better meal then delivered. we ordered hush puppies for an appetizer and right away you could tell the oil was bad. it definitely was old and needed to be changed. I ordereed the broiled flounder. It was flavorless and rubbery. I got grits on the side and they were very runny and extremely salty. they were uneditable. My dad ordered the mahi mahi and it was decent but overall was highly disappointed and was not worth the price. I will say the waitress was very kind and attentive. no complaints on the service just the horrible food.
It was my first visit but won't be my last. Awesome prices for a ton of food. The Captain's Platter was fantastic!
Good lunch menu. they should open everyday lunch, not just Friday
Meh. The service took a really long time, but, if you are not that hungry going in, any of the fried fish was tasty. After we were seated we waited for the waiter to take our order, waited and waited and waited for the food, waited for refills, and waaaaiiited for the check. The restaurant is older and a little close feeling, and the prices seemed a bit steep for what they delivered. However, if you have time to kill and want fried fish in a dive...you got it.
Best place to be in the Charleston area for St. Patrick's Day
The staff is so sweet and fast. The food not so great. It's not worth the price to me. We couldn't even eat it. It way too expensive for what you get. The salad had 1 cherry tomato cut in half, 1 cucumber slice and croutons. I got the 7 layer Seafood.. it wasn't layered in any way, had 4 pieces of shrimp and a few little bay scallops. :( I wanted to like it so bad.
Inexpensive. Great food. Seven layer pasta, grouper O'Sullivan, seafood casserole are all real winners
Best shrimp and grits in Charleston...great experience
I used to eat here frequently with my grandfather and came in again recently. Place hasn't changed a bit! Good food at a good price. Traditional local Lowcountry seafood cooked the way its supposed to be done. Girlfriend and I can't wait to come back!
Good food. Service is a little slow when they are busy.
Order Crab Bisque the flounder and shrimp with huspuppies and grits. Ice tea (seet) with lemon. This meal was fantastic. Fresh everything. We will be back this week. What a nenu. The service was great.
The food was very good, and the prices really not bad for a tourist area. Average price for a side was $3, for an appetizer around $8, and an entree with 2 sides you will be looking at $14 - $23. The crab dip was killer. I could have filled up on 2 helpings of that alone. Sullivan's wait staff were very attentive. We called and made a reservation; they had a table set up for us when we arrived, and our appetizer was out on the table within 5 minutes. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area. I also want to add that my daughter was nuts about their grits! I thought I should add that. She even ordered seconds!
Outstanding service. Outstanding food. Outstanding atmosphere.
The staff seemed friendly, but the pop was flat and the food seemed to be a little old, overcooked, or just not good.
