First time visit and wow, this was good. I called ahead as we had a party of 7 and needed assurance we would be able to get a table and eat in order to be on time for an engagement. The service was awesome and we easily made it in time. The food was excellent. My wife and I shared a Caeser salad. I followed up with lasagna and it was excellent! I couldn't believe the portion size as it was a little bit larger than a standard brick for a house. My father ordered eggplant parmesan, an appetizer portion as his meal and struggled to finish. He did finish which translates to the food was really good. My mother enjoyed the cannelloni as well. We will definitely return!
I had the risotto special with zucchini, shrimp and broccoli. Big and tasty, sauce was just right and the veggies were al dente which they should be. Reasonable house red wine with even better happy hour specials. My only gripe, and not just with Sugo is there seems to be a motion developing that risotto can be made with regular rice instead of arborio rice. There should be a law and understanding that risotto is only risotto if you use arborio rice, otherwise it is just rice and sauce.
Good every time. Wish they would bring butter with the bread.
Love the lunch specials. Dinner is good too, but you better be hungry! Salads are huge! Lasagna is awesome and worth checking out.
The only restaurant I ever need!!! Absolutely delish
What can I stay when it comes to pasta and gravy, it's the very best . Something for everyone there .
Consistently awesome. I think it's under priced. It's that good.
Small menu, low prices, great food, big portions. I will definitely be back!
Food is wonderful. The staff is friendly and always smiling. Wonderful atmosphere and very comfortable.
Sugo' Spaghetteria is the best Italian restaurant bar none. The food is delicious and always fresh. Plus the service is fantastic.
charming place for a wonderful dinner. It's a go to place for sure.
This restaurant may be hard to see from the road, but you should definitely look for it. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. The menu is relatively small but full of options. Service is impeccable and attentive.
Our waitress was phenomenal! So attentive, polite, and prompt! Our food was just as good! Everyone enjoyed their meals and had trouble choosing between the specials because they all sounded divine! Completely satisfied with my first time here. We'll certainly be back and tell our friends!
Wow factor at this restaurant. Wasn't expecting the quality of food, it was great. Service perfect, if we lived in the area this would be a top 5 go to restaurants we would visit often.
Very laid-back European feel. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Pizza Margherita was great and very authentic.
We had a wonderful wedding dinner tonight and the absolute best service and food. If you are looking for a really nice place to celebrate a special occasion Sugo's is the place to go.
Tasty and flexible for special add-on requests. Enjoyed the Funghi and spaghetti entree with a meatball and marinara side. Excellent chunky marinara, which I would enjoy with any of their pasta I'm sure. Spring Greens salad was excellent as well.
Good authentic Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. Very friendly staff as well!
Fantastic food, great service, wonderful atmosphere.
Beautiful and simple atmosphere, Awesome food, Great service!!! Reasonably priced! Way better than Olive Garden. We will definitely be returning with others.
A hidden gem in Edwardsville! Daily risotto specials, fantastic lasagna and great pizza. Good atmosphere, Sinatra seems to always be playing and a pretty good wine list. Casual enough for everyday and good enough food for a nice night out
A small menu allows Sugo's to get what they create perfect. I have yet to find anything on their menu I do not like. Great wine list. Educated wait staff! We are repeat customers. You come here for the experience not because youre too lazy to cook for yourself. Enjoy.
Delicious cuisine, great service for family get together enjoyed it, thank you
Our waitress was awesome and the food was wonserful!
Food is fantastic. Thrre for 2 Christmas parties. Service was fast & very professional
Casual dinning with great food, i recommend the spaghetti n meatballs
Service that makes us feel we're the only ones that matter! Always perfect entrees.
Spaghetti with spinach, garlic and mushroom broth was soooooooo good.
Amazingly fresh!!! Great addition to the Edwardsville scene!
Favorite place in town. Great food...Great service. Recommend to all.
Had the same menu for the last ten years. Doesn't have the best pizza in town.
This place was great. The food was delicious and the staff is super friendly. I will return and try the pizza, this trip we both got pasta and shared toasted ravioli.
This was my 2nd visit. Very busy but run efficiently. Is clean and wait staff knowledgeable and professional. I had special which was Maui Maui fish. Was done perfectly and served hot. Others in my party had spaghetti and meat balls and other menu items. No complaints. This is a little distance for us. If it were closer we would visit more often. Hats off to the management. We will return.
Tried Sugos this evening very good food and good service nice atmosphere except need to close off kitchen more to noisy. I had bolaganise everyone at our table tried the dishes of everyone else, so very good.
The staff is alway friendly and accommodating. The food is fantastic!
My family recently booked a party for my Mom's Birthday. The food and room setup were excellent along with our hard working waiter. Definitely a top rate restaurant and staff. Days before event, the manager was extremely helpful with suggestions and setup. Thank you all!!
Great lasagna at a great price, this is a very nice addition to the Edwardsville area.
My man and I came there after an exhausting, all day motorcycle swap (greasy and famished!) The service was absolutely wonderful. The server coursed our 3 choices, perfectly timed, and kept the bread and water coming! We were so satisfied after leaving there we took a 2 hour nap. The eggplant parm is magical! It was enough for 2 people and the sauce was worthy of a plate-licking. We also had the tutto mare and I wanted to kiss the chef. Thanks Sugos!
Good place and food and not expensive, worth going.
Some of the best Italian food around not to mention great lunch specials @ a great price.
Most legit Italian cuisine anywhere would be foolish to pass up an opportunity to indulge in this delicious cuisine FIVE STARS HANDS DOWN
I have always had really good service, but the food seems to be hit and miss (more often missing).
Great meal and atmosphere. I didn't take the server's recommendation on a wine selection given her previous recommendation, and she was rude and inattentive
Good place for dinner. I could taste the quality. The best chicken parmesan that I have ever had.
Always a good meal here. Rustic atmosphere simple menu, but everything is prepared to meet St. Louis Hill Italian standards. Neopolitan style pizza, bread and olive oil. Great house wine value. No draft beer or cocktails.
Based on a respected recommendation I took my spaghetti loving daughter with me to give this place a try. The starter bread was served with plates. Lol. Olive oil is on the table but it would've been better with balsamic vinegar as well. Butter I believe it's available on request.
We started with garlic cheese bread and bruschetta. Both servings were hardy but the bruschetta was served in a manner that made it impossible to pick up and eat without causing an avalanche of toppings! Once I was able to separate the bread and toppings it was a flavorful delight. Not able to take any leftovers home tho because the bread gets soggy after awhile.
The cheesy garlic bread was big, puffy, buttery, garlicky and of course cheesy! Yum!
Main course of pollo alfredo with the pollo on the side was very good according to my daughter. Only opportunity with that course is the sauce has chunky slices of garlic throughout and that is not pleasant to bite into, ever.
My pomodoro pasta was very very good! But I shouldn't of had bruschetta first because it felt like I had the same topping as the sauce on my pasta.
Dessert was my fave - tiramisu. It was good but the lady fingers were over soaked in espresso. Nice flavors otherwise.
Nice chianti that paired well with my meal.
Dallas, our server, was extremely knowledgable and well versed in the specials and menu items. He was attentive and very friendly. Great service! We will be back!
Very nice lunch. Went with a group of 16 for lunch. Sevice and food was awesome. I personally had lunch special. 1/2 of salad and 1/2 of pizza.
Personally, I love the risotto. They work with your dietary needs and can customize your order if needed.
So glad we were able to enjoy one of our favorites during shelter in place. Great curbside service
Everything exceptionally well prepared! Best ever lasagna and salads.
Really good Italian restaurant. I know we only tried two dishes but will be going back many times for more.
Best Italian in the area. Good value for the price and nice staff with a rustic interior.
Have eaten here many times. Field Green salad was sub par for the first time. But, the Tuto Mare was the best one I've ever had.
Half order lunch portions were perfect! Great service, prices and food!!!
Excellent Italian food. A fancy and nice place to eat.
We were traveling toward St. Louis from Kentucky and wanted something warm and good for lunch. We strayed off the interstate a bit and ended up here. Wow was I impressed. The best sauces I believe Iv ever had, delicious tomatoes, large portions, and exceptional service. I'd definitely come back if I didn't live 6 hours away lol
The food is good here. Well seasoned and if you ask for spicy they do it
